Mulrenin arrived home from work at roughly 0430 hours on December 14th 2016, and is seen on video footage walking out of his apartment near 0500 hours and meeting with Jackson. Jackson is seen using Mulrenin's proximity card to enter the Lofts at Uptown garage in her registered 2009 Black BMW. They park on the fifth floor parking garage at the same time Scott Love is seen sneaking into the Lofts at Uptown through and unlocked metal service door. Scott Love uses the elevator and travels up tp the fifth floor where Mulrenin's unit is located. Love pushes the "close door" button during the same time frame as Mulrenin and Jackson enter the building from the fifth floor parking garage. As Mulrenin and Jackson pass by the elevator, Love is seen peaking his head out then walks in the same direction as them. Roughly twenty minutes go by and Mulrenin and Jackson are seen entering the fifth floor parking garage going in the direction of J ackson's vehicle, before returning and entering the building again. It is believed at this time, Love was able to enter Mulrenin's unlocked unit and hid just prior to the return of Jackson and Love. While inside, a struggle took place where Mulrenin was duct taped and zip tied in the event to rob him. During the struggle, Mulrenin was able to free himself from the restraints and in the process sustained a single gunshot wound to the back of the leg. After the shot, Mulrenin is screaming and runs to the balcony because that is the only place left to flee. In the attempt to try and save his life, he goes over the rail and tries to grab the bottom of the railing to swing to the balcony underneath, but falls to his death. During this time witnesses Songer and Smith, hear the initial yelling from Mulrenin, then a hear gunshot, then see him go over the rail. A 911 call is placed indicating a male fell or jumped out of a fifth floor balcony. Within a couple minutes of officers arriving on scene, Jackson is seen exiting the building from the fifth floor into garage in a hurry. A minute later her vehicle is seen exiting the complex, never to return. At approximately 0730 hours, detectives arrive on scene and locate black duct tape with suspected blood on it, a bunched up throw rug with suspected blood on it in the middle of the floor with three zip ties surrounding it, suspected blood on the balcony door, suspected blood the front door, on the floor next to couch and a fired projectile underneath the coach. Within two hours of this incident, Jackson and Love are seeing entering Walmart together wearing similar clothing as they did on the video footage provided by the Lofts at Uptown. While inside Walmart, Jackson and Love use Mulrenin's credit cards to purchase fraudulent items. Another hour after that, Jackson and Love are seen on Walmart video entering another Walmart and purchasing other items with Mulrenin's credit cards. Later that night, when Lt. Murphy and I make contact with Doll House staff, several employees verify Jackson is the same female seen on the Lofts at Uptown’s video footage as the same female who was inside the Doll House looking for James Mulrenin the night before (12/13/2016). On December 15th 2016, Jackson and Love are observed and captured on CCTV from the Value Pawn Shop, selling some of the same items they purchased with Mulrenin's credit cards the day before at Walmart. On December 19th 2016, Jackson and Love are arrested on an arrest warrant for the above mentioned crime and taken to a secure location where Lt. Murphy and I conducted a recorded Information. Love and Jackson agreed to speak with us and stated they did not know James Mulrenin nor did they seem him during the time frame given of his death. Search warrants were written and signed for J ackson's vehicle and house where they have been staying for the past four months. Inside the residence and vehicle were credit cards belonging to Mulrenin, zip ties, suspected blood on plastic booties and plastic gloves, a firearm with one round missing, similar duct tape as the kind found in Mulrenin's apartment, Doll House application, pawn slips, jeans, "don’t tread on my sweatshirt" like the one seen on video surveillance at the Lofts, straw hat, gold Nixon watch that was later identified as the same watch Mulrenin wears at work and other miscellaneous items that would indicated Jackson and Love knew or had seen Mulrenin within the past few weeks. Upon completion of this investigation and all the facts found herein, I found probable cause to charge Mandi May Jackson and Scott Michael Love with one cound of Felony Murder per F.S.S. 782.04(1)(a)(2); Burglary Occupied per F.S.S. 810.02(3a); and Fraud per F.S.S. 817,.539(2). ******************************************* III - 22
