1. ZERO EVIDENCE - November 2019
I started this story when I walked out of a courtroom where a 24-year old girl received two life sentences, while she made sounds like a dog stuck with an ice pick. In the end, the only evidence was:
1) Mandi Jackson had recently moved in with Scott Love after sleeping in her car, and there was a new facebook page with a small following, seemed to be made for the purpose of saying they were in a relationship without her friends seeing it.
2) Mandi Jackson went to work at The Dollhouse and went back to manager James Mulrenin's apartment for two hours.
3) Scott Love was at Mulrenin's apartment at the same time Jackson was there, but phone and video records show Jackson was never with Scott Love, or communicating with him at any point during the entire night.
4) James Mulrenin was out of his mind on drugs, was shot in the leg, and later went over the balcony.
5) Mandi Jackson and Scott Love used Mulrenin's credit cards together at Walmart a few hours later.
6) A gun which probably matched the bullet which shot James Mulrenin, was photographed in a drawer in Mandi's house, next to a bra, but it is unsure who put it there.
Remember, the proof of the allegations is based entirely on knowing the contents of Mandi Jackson's mind. Nobody made the claim in court that Mandi Jackson shot James Mulrenin in the leg. It is only alleged that she knew of a plan to rob or injure James Mulrenin.
None of the evidence listed above proves the contents of her mind. There is no evidence Mandi Jackson ever deviated from her long and compulsive pattern, of cheating on boyfriends with old guys for money, to relieve anxiety over paying the rent. And you will see there are dozens of items of evidence, that suggest robbing James Mulrenin could not have been in her mind.
There was also a long pattern of Mandi's boyfriends reacting in a variety of ways, from the spectrum of ways cheated boyfriends react. And I saw Mulrenin slip or try to slip between many broke girls and their boyfriends. So Mulrenin also had a long pattern of exploiting vulnerable young girls.
Events took an unexpected turn when Mulrenin went over the balcony. At that point, any plans Mandi Jackson had would have been totally upset. So nothing that happened after Mulrenin went over the balcony, nothing Mandi Jackson did, can reveal her original plan, or the original contents of Mandi's mind, before her mind was flash-blasted by this shocking incident, which brought her to tears during a recorded jail phone call.
Whatever was in Mandi Jackson's mind before Mulrenin got shot and fell five stories, would have been discarded and replaced. More likely is Jackson would have done the opposite of any original plans. If she originally planned to rob Mulrenin, she would have never wanted to use his credit cards after he unexpectedly died right in front of her. If her boyfriend unexpectedly caught her cheating and she lost her job and never got her dancer dollars, she might let him use the credit cards to placate him, or used them herself for stress over money. But she never could have predicted that situation she would find herself in.
You may wonder why a jury convicted Mandi Jackson based on zero evidence. People who were there wonder the same thing. The jurors were not very excited about the rules they were supposed to follow, but they were very amused with their own power. And they had a good chemistry where they liked to all come together and agree with one another. It was all about the fun parts for them, and none of the boring instructions and rules they were supposed to follow.
You might say peers aren't perfect, they are still the best you can hope for, and you asked for them. But the defendant was granted no similar license, and was hammered with rules at every turn. At the same time, the witnesses made up stories and bent facts at every step, with no shame, punishment, or remorse.
The jurors' favorite group pastime during recess, was following me around the courthouse saying "Hey, mystery guy!" and trying to get me to talk about the case with them. The jurors talked about me among themselves, saying I was "creepy" for telling them "don't talk to me." They asked questions about me, and were asked questions about me.
I guarantee you the jurors spent hours online finding anything they could about the case and about me. That is one of the ways they could have come to believe they knew better what happened, and made a decision not based on anything in evidence or testimony in the courtroom.
The jurors' second-favorite pastime was deliberating among themselves during testimony. And that is just the two inappropriate pastimes that were visible to me. One juror had a tablet in the jury box, which she insisted she was only using during bench conferences. A friend of the victim was allowed to sit in the jury box, inform other jurors that she had information from the day James Mulrenin died, and say how she was certain of Mandi's guilt.
A jury like that was susceptible to gossip. And they were likely distracted by three hours of the worst coerced smear gossip, which a bizarre technicality of the rules of evidence allows to be presented under the label of "witnesses." I know something about this case, I have studied it for years and I am familiar with the defendant and the victim. But the defense cannot pay me to recite what I know, and call it evidence. Not even under the sixth amendment, according to Judge Recksiedler.
The defendant's lawyers were distracted from the actual details which showed the contents of Mandi Jackson's mind, by wading through three hours of malicious gossip. As I warned would happen before this trial, the jurors were overwhelmed with gossip so complicated and insidious and dishonest, it would not be possible to wade through it in any rational way. That made them vulnerable to going on the web, and becoming possessed with visions that they had discovered some secret truth.
People in the courtroom, including adversaries of the defendant and/or neutral parties, were shocked with the verdict. I won't bother naming names because they have no reason to tell you their real opinions or corroborate what I say. It is not out of disrespect for the justice system that I write all this here. Rather, the justice system was disrespected and corrupted to reach this verdict. And it needs to be corrected for the court, and the pursuit of justice, to be respected.
It is not at all clear why Mandi Jackson would have needed to fill out an application to work at the Dollhouse to get into James Mulrenin's apartment. The prosecution says Scott Love sneaked into the building, and then either went through a door that Mulrenin frequently left unlocked, or Mandi let him in. I think he knocked. Mandi Jackson could just as easily have sneaked into the building, and just knocked on Mulrenin's door and asked to borrow some laundry detergent. It is possible to get into Mulrenin's apartment without ever going to his workplace.
You may have gotten the idea somewhere that we have a presumption of innocence. That the system is designed to err on the side of freeing the guilty, rather than convicting the innocent. But that is not how this case worked at all. Nobody ever had any interest in what really happened. Right from the beginning, they were on a mission to do whatever they had to, to convict Mandi Jackson. They didn't care what the truth was, they weren't even curious. At all levels of the system, it was a concerted mission to convict the innocent regardless of the truth.
Anyone who expects he will ever get a presumption of innocence, is at risk of a rude awakening. They can just grab you and use 100 tricks to make you look guilty and lock you up, so you will still be there when the aliens land. There is no institution to prevent what I just described. There is no institution to guarantee you that presumption of innocence. You tell me what that institution is, it did nothing for Mandi Jackson.
2. ARREST AFFIDAVIT - December 16, 2016
********************************************************************************
AFFIDAVIT FOR ARREST WARRANT
On December 14, 2016 the Altamonte Springs Police Department responded to The Lofts Uptown Altamonte, 285 Uptown Blvd Unit 515, in reference to a person who jumped or fell from the fifth floor balcony. The person was later identified as James William Mulrenin. Mulrenin was initially transported to Florida Hospital Altamonte (FHA), however due to the severity of his injuries he was later transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). Mulrenin suffered multiple injuries from the fall and a deep wound in the back of his left thigh which appears to be a very deep stab wound or gunshot wound.
Officers located Mulrenin's apartment where the door as found ajar. Upon entering the apartment no one else was found and the rear sliding door was open. On the balcony a round table was tilted towards the sliding glass door. The Christmas net lights which previously hung on the left side of the railing were missing. There were lights on the right side of the railing that were similar to lights that were located on the ground next to Mulrenin. A large rug in the main room was bunched up towards the center. There was what appeared to be blood on the rug. A serrated knife was found on the couch and suspected blood was located on the carpet, on the right portion of the couch recliner, closest to the door and on the sliding glass door leading to the balcony. A roll of black duct tape was located partially under the couch and a section of tape by the open glass slider balcony door and appeared to have been wrapped around something and torn off. The tape had suspected blood on the sticky portion. Several plastic/nylon zip ties were on the floor near the rug. There was a broken cell phone on the kitchen counter which also had suspected blood on it. Crime Scene personnel later located a projectile on the floor under the couch.
Surveillance footage from the apartment complex was obtained. Mulrenin was seen accompanied by a white female, later identified as Mandi Jackson, through the use of a phone number (407-879-4968) that was later provided to investigators by personnel at the victim's place of employment. The phone number was said to be connected to a female fitting the description of the female, "Mandi" observed accompanying Mulrenin the morning of the incident. This phone number (407-879-4968) was later found connected to a male's Facebook Account, Scott Michael Love. A search was conducted of the male's Facebook, finding the name, Mandi May Jackson as being in a relationship with Scott Michael Love. At approximately 0459 hours on December 14, 2016. Jackson enters the apartment complex parking garaga in what appears to be a late model black BMW. It was later learned that Jackson owns a black 2009 BMW.
At approximately 0453 hours, surveillance footage shows a white male, later identified as Scott Love, through the use of pictures located on Facebook, belonging to both Jackson and Love, along with the use of DAVID. Surveillance video provided easily recognizable images, identifying both individuals as Mandi Jackson and Scott Love.
Love could be seen on this video, being on the ground floor of the apartment complex parking garage, attempting to open an elevator leading up to the apartments. Due to Love not having a key card to access the elevator he is not able to get into the elevator, whereupon he locates a set of steel freight doors which were left open because of a non-functioning latch. Love is then seen going up to level 5 where Mulrenin lives and walking toward unit 515 before returning to the elevator. Love closes the elevator with the "close door" button on the elevator but does not push any buttons for a different floor. Love remains in the elevator for a couple of minutes and can clearly be seen using a cell phone and doing what appears to be sending text messages and generally acting in a suspicious manner. Love then gets back off the elevator after carefully looking up and down the hall before exiting and walks back toward unit 515. At approximately 0503 hours Love is seen on the fifth floor parking garage smoking a cigarette and reenters the building to the fifth floor hallway and remains out of camera view.
At 0524 hours Mulrenin and Jackson are seen exiting to the fifth floor parking garage. At approximately 0527 hours Mulrenin and Jackson return and are seen reentering the fifth floor from the parking garage.
At approximately 0637 hours a 9-1-1 call was received stating a male had fallen from the balcony. At approximately 0642 hours Seminole County Fire Department arrived on scene. At approximately 0643 hours Jackson is seen running from the building from the fifth floor parking garage and her vehicle leave the complex a minute later.
Detectives made contact with ORMC personnel who advised Mulrenin was on life support and would not recover. Contact was made with his mother Dolores Mulrenin, who agreed to removed him from life support based on his deteriorating status.
Detectives made contact with a close friend and coworker of Mulrenin who said Mulrenin was the manager of the Dollhouse Club in Orlando. She advised on December 13, 2016 the Dollhouse Club "had a good night." She further advised there were at least two individuals that spent over $20,000.00 at the club along with significant business from other patrons. According to witnesses Mulrenin left the club with a substantial amount of cash totaling upwards of $2500. Witnesses said Mulrenin always carried a money clip. No money clip or wallet was located at his home.
After multiple interviews conducted by detectives at the Dollhouse Club, it was discovered that Mandi Jackson provided phone number 407-879-4968 to her co-worker as a way to get in touch with her. Upon researching the phone number, law enforcement learned of several reports located in FINDER to include pawn history from July and October of 2016 for "Scott Michael Love" and an arrest report for Love from July 2016. The phone number was also searched in Facebook which also came back to Scott Love. A check through Love's Facebook revealed he is in a relationship with Mandi Jackson.
Based on the aforementioned there is a probable cause to believe Jackson and Love were in contact with each other and Jackson was in contact with Mulrenin just prior to his falling from the balcony. The manner in which Jackson is seen leaving Mulrenin's apartment after the death shows she is running away from the crime scene. The manner in which Love acts during his time in the apartment building, suggests he is attempting to access the apartment building without permission. At no time during the video surveillance are Jackson and Love seen together. Based on the evidence collected from Mulrenin's apartment, there is probably cause to believe zip ties and duct tape was used on Mulrenin, that a struggle occurred and at least one shot was fired from a gun before Mulrenin fell from the fifth floor balcony of the apartment.
A subpoena was submitted for Mulrenin's credit cards which indicated two transactions taking place in the amount of $286.49 and $64.13 at Walmart #5871 on December 14, 2016 at approximately 0848 hours and 0904 hours. Det. Baker responded to Walmart #5871 and recovered video footage that showed Love and Jackson purchasing one Sony Playstation for $286.49 and two phones for $64.13.
At this time, due to the fact that Love and Jackson were both seen at Mulrenin's apartment during the short time frame leading up to his death, then using his credit card at Walmart roughly two hours after his murder, there is probable cause for their arrest for Felnoy Murder, Burglary to an Occupied Dwelling and Fraud.
Due to the fact that I have been unable to locate Mandi May Jackson for a physical arrest, I am requesting that a warrant be issued for her arrest.
Ben Sprague, ASPD
*************************************************************************
First, let's look at how Sprague imagines evidence of robbery where there is none:
SPRAGUE: Witnesses said Mulrenin left with more than $2500 cash.
I have seen a 21-year-old girl arrested and held without bond, I have seen every deposition and witness statement, I have seen two trials, and I have never heard from anyone who witnessed Mulrenin leave with more than $2500 cash. Did Sprague throw away this person's witness statement?
SPRAGUE: Mulrenin was a good target for robbery because of his money.
According to Sprague there were two customers in the club who had much more money than Mulrenin, were probably smaller and weaker (Mulrenin was 6' 1"), had less access to girls than a strip-club manager, did not know Mandi's real name, and probably had more reputation risk from reporting they brought home and were robbed by a stripper. Every strip club, every night, has a customer who is richer and more desperate than a strip-club manager.
SPRAGUE: Mulrenin's money clip was not found in his home.
Yes, he went over the balcony with it. All that was left at his autopsy was his belt.
SPRAGUE: Jackson left when the sirens arrived and was fleeing the crime scene.
In fact the video timestamps were 7 minutes late. So Jackson actually ran out to the garage right before the 911 call came in for Mulrenin going over the balcony. The error in the video timestamps was known by police at the time Sprague wrote this affidavit, and hidden from jurors and the defense. The 7-minute error was so large that it was probably contrived by police specifically to make it look like Jackson was fleeing sirens.
SPRAGUE: They used Mulrenin's cards at Walmart.
They did not use his cash at Walmart. When you have a 52-year-old man with viagra and a 21-year-old stripper, it would be more surprising if there weren't some credit card use at the end of it. According to Mulrenin's co-workers, Mulrenin blasted $20k on two customers' credit cards that night who didn't even get sex.
They found Jackson and Mulrenin's DNA on the same straw. I don't think it was a straw that put Mulrenin's DNA in Jackson's mouth. So to Mandi, she is within the ethics of her and Mulrenin's profession to go shopping. And more urgently, given she just lost her job. Even so, it was Love who started the credit-card use by buying something which on the previous day he did not predict he would need, a phone.
SPRAGUE: Zip ties and duct tape were used on Mulrenin and there was a struggle.
Sprague is projecting. Sprague is the one who tackles people and binds them by the wrists. That is what he does for a living. The number of people other than cops who bind people by the wrists is all of zero. Obviously there are many other uses for duct tape, or it wouldn't be sold at every store. Sprague seems to at least admit this vague possibility. I am confident the carpet was bundled up by Love in an effort to find the bullet or get rid of the blood. Sprague should be totally familiar with people trying to get rid of evidence. I challenge anyone to cause an area rug to be pulled from under a sofa and become folded up like the one photographed, through any type of wrestling.
Now let's look at how Sprague imagines evidence of collusion when there is none:
SPRAGUE: Love was clearly seen using a cellphone and texting, implying Jackson and Love were in contact.
Love was never seen using a cellphone, never seen texting. Evidence is Jackson and Love used the same phone number and only had one phone, which Jackson had that night. The first thing Love did was buy a phone at Walmart. Phone records show they were never in contact the entire night. Jackson was not in contact with anyone while at Mulrenin's apartment. You can read a little deeper, and speculate that Love did not want Jackson having her own phone. But after what happened, Love went to Walmart and bought a phone first thing, so that he could make contact with Jackson on nights like this, and prevent this type of event.
SPRAGUE: Jackson and Love were "in a relationship" on facebook, meaning they would be likely to collude.
Jackson was a stripper. So being "in a relationship" means nothing. Their being "in a relationship" indicates how Love might react to Mandi stripping and cheating on him, more than it indicates they would collude or Mandi would choose Love over Mulrenin.
Now let's look at evidence this wasn't a planned robbery:
SPRAGUE: Mandi Jackson provided her real non-stripper name and phone number so co-worker Neisha Cintron could get in touch.
If police talked to this co-worker Neisha Cintron, they should also know the last thing Mandi did before leaving, was buy a stripper dress to wear to work the next day. And Cintron observed Jackson and Mulrenin to have an unusually close working relationship early in the night, and even kissing, which there is some video of.
SPRAGUE: All this was seen on video.
Both Love and Jackson must be walking and driving in front of cameras without hesitation, for Sprague to see all that on video. Would someone about to do armed robbery wander aimless circles in front of a video camera?
SPRAGUE: When Jackson leaves, Love is not with her. Jackson and Love are never seen together.
Again, this is stronger evidence of a jealous boyfriend than of a planned robbery agreement.
SPRAGUE: The first thing Love bought was a phone.
This does not seem like a premeditated or planned purchase, but a purchase in response to the problem of not being able to call or text his cheating girlfriend all night. It seems to indicate Love was not coordinating or colluding with Mandi, but just the opposite. He had a problem communicating with Mandi, an inability to do so, while she was in Mulrenin's apartment.
In his affidavit, Sprague wants you to make a tenuous "felony murder" connection between the accidental death of James Mulrenin, and Mandi Jackson being guilty of first degree murder. But they have never provided the audio of the 911 call, or described what that audio says. They are not interested in the most immediate and best description of the event for which Mandi Jackson is serving two life sentences!
All they are left with after you strip away the hallucinated parts of this affidavit, is Love sneaking into the building without any evidence Jackson knows he is there. She leaves without Love. And they later use credit cards together. And they are in a relationship which means nothing for a stripper.
The original evidence used to charge Mandi with murder, fits much better with a stripper with a sugar daddy, and a jealous boyfriend. She is forced by the accidental death of her sugar daddy to return to her jealous boyfriend, and placate him by allowing him to make purchases with the credit cards of the sugar daddy she just fucked.
So is Sprague crooked, or is he just stupid? I think he started out stupid, and became crooked.
There was another piece of evidence, a hand-drawn floor plan of an apartment, which was found in Mandi's car. During a video interview of a witness from Dollhouse, Sprague characterized this hand-drawn floor plan as evidence that Mandi and Scott "had it all planned out." He said they were very smart - the floor plan - but they were also very stupid - doing it all on camera - which really just means his narrative makes no sense.
The floor plan does not remotely resemble Mulrenin's apartment! It has two bedrooms, it is different in every way.
According to my investigation, the apartment described was within walking distance of two of her boyfriends' jobs (Love and Tywaun), and one of her boyfriend's houses that he had to move out of (Tywaun). It was by where her friends used to hang out. Mandi looked together with both of these boyfriends for a roommate situation where she could keep her dog. And the labels on the apartment floor plan were "master" and "spare" not "cash" and "hide."
Another thing which Sprague hallucinated, is that nobody at Dollhouse knew Mandi Jackson, she came in from the night as a complete stranger. In reality, the strip club community in Orlando is small. There were people in Dollhouse who had known Mandi for a long time. But I will get to that more later.
Detective Sprague had just set the world spinning with news that a stripper had murdered her boss. He had very much put himself on the spot by doing so. During Love's police interview, Sprague characterized himself as not very bright, but very determined.
.
I think the faking started very quickly, when Sprague got the first phone records and saw that Mandi and Scott were not actually texting. When Sprague began to realize he didn't actually have solid evidence for the alleged crime, he worked to manufacture evidence to pressure Mandi to say Scott did it. All the search warrants in this case were rubber-stamp fishing expeditions, and none of them were a search for the truth.
Sprague was apparently raised by wolves, or at least in another country, or maybe just in Seminole County. He thinks where Mandi's right to keep private what she does with a guy begins, is where his mandate to invent unfounded criminal allegations about her begins.
People who shoot black kids in the back when they are running away, have an emotional problem, dealing with failure or rejection. They can't just say okay, he won, I lost. In poker, people like this give all their money away. Because they get a pair of jacks, and they just keep calling, they can't let it go.
When Mandi said nothing in her police interview, Detective Sprague looked at Lieutenant Murphy like "Oh no, what do we do?" The older, more honest Lieutenant Murphy just shrugged, and said oh well, that's what I expected. But Sprague got emotional, and went into a panic he would be exposed as ineffective. He started faking evidence. Because he would rather break the law than let someone else win.
For catching the world's slowest bunny, and making up some nonsense about her, Sprague was given LEO of the year. In some ways Sprague is like Mulrenin. They are both mediocre men, whose self esteem was propped up at the expense of a young girl. Mandi Jackson is like a dog who jumps into the truck of a dog catcher who can't catch anything, to make him feel good about himself.
In Steinbeck's Tortilla Flat, they gave hapless dog catcher Tall Bob Smoke some dogs to put in his truck to look successful. In Seminole County they gave dipshit Detective Sprague someone's daughter to put in his truck. Never have such fools been allowed to use not dogs, but other people's daughters, as tiny mountains to stand on. That would be a horror novel, which Steinbeck did not write.
In a way Mandi is a divining stick for failures and scumbags, and the stupid. Her father once told me they follow her like flies, because they can't catch anything else. The taxpayers have no idea how their money is wasted on little girls.
I was always ashamed of what people might say if they found out I was taking advantage of a young girl. They made this guy Sprague LEO Of The Year for it.
3. CELL TOWER RECORDS - December 2016
Home - 116 pings (29 hours)
Stars/Dollhouse - 104 pings (26 hours)
Rachel's - 23 pings
Rachel's North - 11+4+1 = 16 pings
Mulrenin towers - Wymore, Pineview
Thursday - 2 pings
Saturday - 7 pings (1 Pineview)
Monday - 2 pings
Tuesday - 5 pings (Mulrenin dies)
Sprague's entire narrative of what happened, was founded on the hallucination that Mandi was some mystery girl nobody knew. She came in from the night, robbed the manager, and vanished. If Mandi was in the same social circle as Mulrenin, it would lead to an entirely different take on what happened. What is incredible, is how Sprague defended his hallucination against all evidence to the contrary, to the point of even correcting witnesses who said otherwise.
The records from the phone company included a week of tower pings from Mandi's phone. The T-Mobile witness at trial was very emphatic that they only had locations from when a call or text happened, and only for a few days. But T-Mobile provided another record, which showed Mandi's location every 15 minutes for the entire previous week.
There were no times or dates on each tower ping, so I had to do some estimation. There were 742 records total. That is about one every 15 minutes for 7 days. 24 x 4 x 7 = 672. Except there were some 15-minute periods when her battery was dead, or her phone was out of coverage in the bathroom or something. And there were some extra pings maybe when she switched towers. Four pings on one tower is possibly more than an hour. One ping each, on four towers driving up I-4, is probably less than an hour.
It was easy to tell when each day started and ended, because Mandi would spend a few hours at the tower by her house. Then she would run a morning errand or something and hit a few nearby towers one time each. Then she would return home for a few pings. And this is where it got interesting. Every day she would then head over to Chris Dahl's house in the afternoon or evening, before spending all night at the strip clubs, and returning home. Chris Dahl's house is across a pond from the Stars and Dollhouse, so the towers are adjacent.
I used Google maps to make an animated map that really brought the cell tower pings to life, and made clear sense of them. Like I said, I was able to tell the approximate time of the pings, and when each day started and ended. Her roommate Jessica said Mandi "got dolled up every night" that week like she was going to the strip clubs, and came home in the early morning. Strip club pings are going to be between 8 PM and 2AM. Home pings are going to be before and after 7AM. Given 100 tower pings each day and a map to put them in order, you can pretty well figure out where Mandi was and when.
Remember, Mandi was supposed to be a stranger whom no one at the strip clubs knew. But her Dollhouse application said she worked at Rachel's for an extended period. Rachel's had the same owner and managers as Dollhouse. Mulrenin originally worked at Rachel's and still sometimes went there. Some people still knew Mulrenin as the manager from Rachel's, Rachel's North, or Stars. His building manager Michelle Ervin said he worked at Stars. Dollhouse and Stars are run as a single business, paying the door fee at one gets you into the other. Employees work at both on different days. People who go to strip clubs are like me, we go to all the strip clubs.
In fact, Mandi spent more time at strip clubs owned by the Veigles that week, than at her own home. She spent 35 hours at Veigle strip clubs that week, or 139 cell tower pings. Most of those were at Stars/Dollhouse, 26 hours or 104 pings, both places where Mulrenin worked. And she spent only 29 hours or 116 pings at home on Arbor Ridge Trail.
This fits with what I knew about Mandi. Her favorite friend Chris Dahl lived at those strip clubs, particularly Stars where his girlfriend Dalindy worked. Mandi met the Stars manager, I believe Mulrenin, when she applied at Stars around Halloween 2015. And Mandi's childhood neighbor was a bartender at Dollhouse. Plus another half dozen girls who Mandi danced with at other clubs were at Dollhouse on various nights. There is no way that nobody at the Veigle strip clubs heard of Mandi before.
I already knew all that. It got more interesting when I found one day there were 184 pings before Mandi returned home to Arbor Ridge Trail. At 15 minutes, these pings had to run into the next day. More than 96 pings or 24 hours passed, and she never went home. She stayed at Chris Dahl's house on Thursday night instead of Arbor Ridge Trail. Mandi stayed out all night at Chris Dahl's house on Thursday night.
Chris Dahl was her old flame whom she still crushes on today, more than any other guy on Earth. Was Scott with her the night she stayed all night at Chris Dahl's? Now I was getting into the real dirt.
It got even dirtier. Totally contrary to everything that has ever been said about this case, this was also not Mandi's first night at Mulrenin's house. It was her fourth night at Mulrenin's house just that week! She had more tower pings at Mulrenin's house on Saturday night than on Tuesday, the night he died. It was 7 pings on Saturday, 5 on Tuesday. On Saturday she hit a tower to the north which she would be likely to hit from Mulrenin's balcony. It may be that her phone battery went dead at Murenin's house on Tuesday, after sitting with him all night at Dollhouse.
Where was Scott when Mandi was hanging out, certainly doing cocaine, with these other guys? To me, the cell towers told a clear story of a jealous boyfriend.
Somebody might say the tower pings don't prove Mandi was inside Mulrenin's house, she could have been staking it out. If that was the case she didn't even need to apply at the strip clubs, she could just knock and ask for some laundry detergent. If we had call and text records from earlier in the week, it might show if she was calling and texting with Mulrenin on Saturday night when she was at Mulrenin's house for an extended period. But they might not show that, if she was hiding her affair from Scott.
And there is another reason the call records might not show her talking to Mulrenin on Saturday. Chris Dahl might have called Mulrenin on the burner phone that was charging in Mulrenin's kitchen, and then sent Mandi to his address.
My best guess is Mandi was delivering bags of weed to the strippers, and possibly cocaine to the customers, at the Veigle strip clubs. There is a lot of background to this, such as Mandi delivering bags for Chris Dahl in exchange for getting to ride his motorcycle. I also remember soon after the Veigles bought Stars, when Mulrenin became the new manager, the new bathroom attendant who looked and dressed similarly to Mulrenin, tried to sell me cocaine in the Stars bathroom.
Mini-Jim said Mulrenin made money off cocaine being sold in the club, and that is how Mulrenin was able to pay for Mini-Jim to detail his car every week. Money was no object. And I had long seen Chris Dahl lurking around Rachel's without getting any dances, meeting strippers to sell them meth.
Keep in mind, Mandi met Chris right when I got rid of her pimp. She met him because I got rid of her pimp, and she had to go apply at Stars, and Dahl was sitting there. She was scared to death her new "normal" friends like Dahl might find out she was a hooker. Or they might find out a nerdy old guy like me was giving her money, which would be very uncool. So she would say she was bringing a bag of cocaine to a customer, and use it as an excuse to get out of the house so she could go meet up with old guys. And of course Chris was happy to let her take the risk alone, and never wondered what she was up to.
Then she would meet up with me in the parking lot of Walmart or Staples, or at her mom's house, and we would have sex. She would do the cocaine herself, then go back and give Chris the money I gave her like she had just done a drug deal. So of course she would volunteer to deliver drugs non-profit, she was sneaking out for paid sex.
The night Mulrenin died, I always assumed Mandi stopped by Chris Dahl's house after work, to pick up cocaine on her way to visit Mulrenin. And I suspected Mulrenin ordered the cocaine, as a pretext to set up the liason. I didn't find out until later, Mulrenin also owed Mandi for some dancer dollars, and probably promised to cash them to lure her over against Scott's wishes. Chris Dahl had a girlfriend, and probably did not think or care if Mandi was having an affair with Mulrenin.
But Mandi probably used the same story on Scott, that she was just going to deliver drugs to some guy she knew from the strip club because she needed to get her dancer dollars cashed out. Scott may have been legitimately worried about her when she didn't come out for a while. And Scott and Mulrenin were not like the guys Mandi had experience with in the past. They were both big and thought they were important and had no restraint.
Mandi was being a chameleon, fitting in with her surroundings to survive, as she learned to do when she was an underage hooker. Jeffrey Epstein supposedly had girls put on college sweatshirts, and pretend they were his daughters. Mandi was what everyone wanted her to be.
To Mandi's high-school and drug dealer friends, she was a drug dealer, delivering drugs for free to her own customers. To date-rapist, convicted pimp, and strip-club manager Mulrenin, she was a helpless little girl and a drug addict. To Mulrenin's other employees, Mandi was his new favorite employee and arm candy.
To Scott, she was still his girlfriend. I think she told Scott she was doing a drug deal at Mulrenin's apartment. And she told Scott to stay invisible, to make sure she stayed Mulrenin's favorite and got her dancer dollars, and got referred to the big customers the next time they came in. But she could have told Scott who knows what. There is a sugar baby in Miami who tells her boyfriend she is engaging in credit card fraud when she goes to meet a sugar daddy. Whatever Mandi told Scott, it didn't work. Not after two hours, anyway. Scott and Mulrenin were the wrong two guys.
And to police, Mandi was an armed robber. She fit the pattern perfectly, by using a dead guy's credit cards.
Years later, I showed Mandi's cell-tower map to my friend Joanie from Miami, who dated cops down there. She knew Mandi was accused of murder. I said look at these loops, these are drug-dealing routes. She looked at the labels on the map, the strip clubs and the old guy's apartment, and said "Don't lie to me, she is a prostitute. This is all prostitution, and that's all this is. Are you dumb?"
To a girl from Miami who dates cops, a skinny 21-year-old blonde girl who drives between strip clubs and an old guy's apartment is obviously a prostitute. And only an idiot could ever fall for thinking it was anything else. Never in her life has she seen a little white girl with a thousand-dollar pussy commit armed robbery, between a strip club and an old guy's apartment doing cocaine. At the same time, credit card fraud is as common as rain, especially from old guys to young strippers.
The week of pings starts Wednesday December 7, 2016, with Mandi at her father's job on Landstreet. That would be business hours, after lunch since Mandi takes time to get across town, and her father takes a long lunch. Next she spends a few pings at Rachel's. That is around when I always saw Chris Dahl sitting there, after eating the lunch buffet. Plus, Chris would probably go to Stars at night because his girlfriend Dalindy was working there.
On Tuesday December 6, 2016, Chris Dahl had a sudden windfall which he used to pay a long-overdue overdue Orange County traffic ticket. Then on Wednesday, the first day tower pings are available, Mandi met with Chris in the afternoon at Rachel's. She stayed at Chris house all night on Thursday night. It was around this time when Chris Dahl hired Adam Reiss for his September 1st drug arrest. I don't remember the exact day, and Orange County 48-2016-CF-011304-O is sealed. I think it was Wednesday. That must have cost him over $10k.
For the rest of the week, Mandi goes to Chris Dahl house every day, then spends the entire night driving to Veigle strip clubs, and looping back to Chris Dahl's house. Interestingly, she does not make similar loops to any of the other white strip clubs not associated with the Veigles, such as Dancers, Diamond, or Flashdancer. Even though she lives closer to all three of those, than to Dollhouse and Stars. So Mandi is clearly going from Chris Dahl's house to Veigle strip clubs, specifically Stars/Dollhouse, and Rachel's North by Mulrenin's apartment.
This makes sense because Chris Dahl is the resident dealer at Veigle strip clubs. When I go into Rachel's, they make me leave my motorcycle helmet at the door, so I don't use it was a weapon. I have seen Chris Dahl sitting right next to a motorcycle helmet in Rachel's. He is a preferred customer. Even though he is unemployed and eats the buffet like a starving student. But he got arrested on September 1, 2016 for meth and his case was still active in December. So he needed to lay low and let someone else do his dirty work for him.
Mandi's cell tower map even had regular routes, where she would take the same route on different days. On Thursday and Monday, she drove South down I-4, then went to Mulrenin's house briefly, before going to Rachel's North, and back to Chris Dahl's house. On Saturday and Tuesday, when she spent a long time at Mulrenin's apartment, she went straight from there to the warehouse district around Forsyth in East Orlando. These two longer stays at Mulrenin's house seemed to be later at the end of the night, meaning after the clubs closed.
When you go on a stakeout, you don't continue on a planned route afterwards. You stake out for an extended period, with nothing else planned afterward. It is a little odd that on Tuesday when Mulrenin died, Mandi continued on the same route as on Saturday, when he didn't die. On both nights, she continued on from Mulrenin's apartment to the Forsyth warehouse area. Chris Dahl rented a room to someone who owned a business in the warehouse district. But for all I know, Mandi was visiting her little brother. If Mandi had died, I have no doubt Mulrenin would also have continued on his same route as previous nights.
And if Mandi really spent three previous days staking out or even learning about Mulrenin's apartment, certainly Scott would have figured out the freight elevator doesn't open from the outside. And he would have figured out the freight entrance door stays unlocked for a minute, as explained by Michelle Ervin at Scott's trial. Scott had no idea or plan when he walked up to that freight entrance. Based on the video provided by police, Scott first tried the freight elevator which would never have worked, and then tried the freight door which he should have already known would open. So whatever Mandi did the three previous days at Mulrenin's house, it did not result in Scott showing up with any plan for how to get in.
When police spoke to Dollhouse employees on video, it should have been obvious Mulrenin already knew Mandi before that night. Neisha Cintron described how Mandi and Mulrenin had a comfortable relationship right from the beginning of the night. Mandi was changing dresses to please Mulrenin. Mulrenin gave Mandi a kiss. Gary Carico mentioned it was strange to let a new girl show up at 11:00 and start work. No strip club lets any girl show up after 9:00, apart from the most senior girls, or else the club would be empty before 11:00 when the money normally gets good. Dollhouse and Stars have day shifts. They always made new girls start on the day shift.
They should have seen she was the boss's Mandi May December romance. But police already told the other Dollhouse employees nobody knew Mandi, and she tricked Mulrenin to commit an armed robbery. The things the other employees saw made no sense if this were true. Rather than realize the obvious - that Mulrenin already knew her - it just made Mandi seem more sinister. The first girl in 20 years whom Mulrenin meets, hires, and starts at 11:00 PM? It doesn't add up, she needs to be in prison.
So I believe Mandi was "delivering cocaine" to Mulrenin at his house the previous three days. And by the fourth night when Mulrenin died, Scott was onto what Mandi was doing. But Scott gave in to the need to cash out her dancer dollars. And on the previous days she might not have called Mulrenin directly, maybe Chris Dahl set it up calling Mulrenin's burner phone that was charging in his kitchen, and gave Mandi the address. On Saturday, Mandi delivered Mulrenin his cocaine, and she went upstairs and they both got lucky. Then by Tuesday, Scott Love tracked down what was going on, and they both went upstairs and got unlucky.
If Mandi were delivering cocaine to typical hooker customers purely for money, like old guys with lake houses or something, she would have been at some customer's house, not Mulrenin's. Instead she went to the tiny apartment of an angry strip-club manager because she liked him. She liked him because he was associated with Chris Dahl and was part of a social scene at the strip clubs, and he was more into cocaine and whatever else than her typical customer with a Mercedes would be.
The best evidence Mandi actually liked Mulrenin came in her December 30, 2016 phone call with her mother. When Mandi mentioned Mulrenin jumping off the balcony, she broke into uncontrollable crying, she could not speak. When Mulrenin went over the balcony, all the hopes and happiness and optimism Mandi built up that week went with him. Mandi crushed on Dollhouse dancer Neisha Cintron. Her next female crush would be in the Seminole County jail. Her next line of cocaine is yet to come.
I believe Mulrenin died without giving Mandi money for her dancer dollars, or the money he owed Chris Dahl for the cocaine. Scott Love came in before Mulrenin had a chance to pay her. That is probably how Mulrenin asked Mandi to come upstairs at the curb. Mulrenin is an expert at withholding money until he gets what he wants. And that is why Mandi then asked her dad to borrow $200, to pay off Mulrenin's coke debt.
Of course Mandi's lawyers are not going to tell you this. They are former Seminole County prosecutors. They know a Seminole County jury might give a 21-year-old girl with the mind of a child, first degree murder for non-profit weed delivery and sex with her boss. Her lawyers didn't need to tell anyone about the drug delivery pretext that night, or about the ongoing fling with Mulrenin, to raise reasonable doubt about the outlandish robbery story.
Keep in mind Mandi was happy to drive around with bags of weed for free, so Chris Dahl would let her in his supposed mechanic business. Or marry her, or buy her a house in Conway, or who knows what an idiot thinks. Or so Mulrenin would give her free drugs, and a job. And so she could have a social life and meet people and be someone and have something to do and be important and respected. And so she could go meet strange guys alone late at night, without Scott getting suspicious, and then give the money to Chris Dahl to buy his love.
So after a week of delivering drugs, and with three previous visits to Mulrenin's house, Neisha Cintron said Mandi had $0 in her pocket. It is hard for normal people understand the psychology of girls like this, so just believe me when I tell you: Mandi would have been more likely to put all her money into that box at Mulrenin's house than to steal it. You can go on adultsearch, com this very second, and find a dozen girls who will do the same thing, give away all their money to please a guy. You might even find a girl at Dollhouse like that today.
Mandi had been that girl at Dancers, giving all the money she made to her pimp. The Dancers manager made her stay after work and get drunk even though she wasn't 21, and tried to make inroads with her. But her pimp always came and got her. Mulrenin was Mandi's chance to do it right, and be friends with the club manager.
A submissive underage trafficking victim does not suddenly become a dominant armed robber. She becomes a freelance 21-year-old hooker, still operating in the shadows, and turning over everything she has to the nearest guy. If Mandi said she was opening a lemonade stand, it would be the safest day in a lemon's life. All she does in the end, is sex.
I told Mandi's lawyers the cell tower map showed her taking cocaine to Mulrenin's house four nights that week. Sometime after that, Mandi told me on the phone there was no point trying to avoid me when she got out of jail. She said "No matter what I do you are going to stalk me, and you are going to know exactly where I am every single day for the rest of my life." When I told her what happened was her fault for hanging out with scumbags, she knew who I was talking about. She said "It's my right to choose who I hang out with."
So Mandi fucked James Mulrenin for cocaine that week. Cocaine on three previous nights, and going upstairs with him one of those nights, should have been $600 in revenue. But Mandi got $0. Because Mulrenin is a sex addict, who needs to win some kind of game to feel special. And Mandi fucked old guys who look like Santa Claus, and gave all the money to Chris Dahl, who then paid off his traffic ticket and and his mortgage, and hired popular local lawyer Adam Reiss for his September 1st drug case. And meanwhile Scott does not even have rent money. I can only speculate all that might have made Scott angry.
So Scott finally agreed to let Mandi accept Mulrenin's job offer, and do some stripping for money. But Mulrenin mostly used her as arm candy, and never cashed out the few dancer dollars she made, and she left broke. She told Scott she just needed to make one quick run, and she would have a little money.
When police went to the strip clubs to find Mandi, nobody is going to say "I know her, she brought me a bag of weed two days ago and gave me a blowjob. She was a little go-girl for Mulrenin and biker Chris. That's who I get my drugs through. She is Mulrenin's slut this week." The people at the strip clubs who knew her were drug people, like Mulrenin. And they ran the other way, when police showed up.
But even the people who talked to police, had seen Mandi and Scott. And Sprague didn't let that interrupt his hallucination.
There is one part of the Gorewitz video interview, where Gorewitz says lots of people saw Scott around the clubs. The Stars manager saw Scott. And Sprague says no no no, nobody saw Scott. Three hours after Gorewitz said that, Sprague is interviewing Gary Carico, and he tells Carico that all the witnesses have to agree, nobody saw Scott. Despite Gorewitz just saying the opposite earlier that day! Even Barbie Mellinger said she saw Scott.
And this was after Sprague and Lieutenant Murphy heard from Big Mike himself, Michael Garcia on December 14th at Thee Dollhouse, that the Stars manager had seen Scott at Stars. People saw Scott across the street at Stars the previous day. But Sprague still told Carico after 4:00 PM on December 28th, 2016, that "all the witnesses have to agree" that nobody saw Scott.
And how could Big Mike, or any manager at Stars or Dollhouse, not have seen Scott and known Mandi? Mandi's phone spent at least 35 hours at Veigle strip clubs that week, the vast majority of it at Stars/Dollhouse, at least 26 hours. Mandi's roommate Jessica said Mandi got dressed up and Scott went with her every night that week. Doesn't mean it's true, but they did see Scott there.
And then Gorewitz says another manager had Mandi's facebook page. And Sprague says no no no, it was the wrong facebook page. Mind you, this is the same night Big Mike mentioned Mandi's false arrest for GHB. He didn't pull up her arrest on Google as Jane Doe. You can only know about the arrest as Mandi Jackson. Big Mike probably had Mandi's real facebook page, not the "Jackon" one that had her "in a relationship" with Scott Love. Sprague said he found a "Mandi Jackson" facebook page, when in fact he found Love's "Mandi Jackon" page.
Sprague was happy to promote the GHB theory in his video interviews with witnesses. The GHB theory originated from Big Mike knowing Mandi's name. Sprague recited the GHB theory during video interviews. But didn't Big Mike have to know who Mandi was, to come up with the GHB theory Sprague was reciting? No, nobody knew who Mandi was.
I can only hypothesize, Sprague took a statement from Big Mike around 2:00 on December 28th, 2016. The statement did not fit with Sprague's narrative that nobody knew who Mandi was, so he deleted it. Sprague then told Cintron and Carico two hours later "If not for you, we never would have found Mandi."
Sprague said to Carico "all the witnesses have to agree." But Sprague chose to promote a narrative which NOT EVEN ONE witness said. And which the cell tower records alone seem to make impossible. Is Mandi really going to do an armed robbery on someone in her social circle, someone she spent four nights with just that week?
Every senior strip club manager in Orlando knew who Mandi was.
Finally two years later in February of 2019, Mulrenin bff Barbara Mellinger admitted in a deposition that she knew Mandi was at Dollhouse the previous night, but she kept that fact hidden. When Mellinger was on the stand at Love's trial and they asked her if Mandi came in and applied. The court was trying to understand why there were two job applications. Mellinger knew why there were two job applications and hid it from the court. During her deposition Mellinger knew where she got the information that Mandi was at Dollhouse the previous night. And she knew who the witness was who saw or knew Mandi the previous night, and Mellinger hid that also.
According to my cell-tower map, Mandi stayed at Mulrenin's apartment Saturday until around dawn. She then went to Chris Dahl's house, went shopping or did some things I cannot guess, and went home. Then on Sunday she did almost nothing compared to the rest of the week. She went out shopping or did something I can't guess, and spent some time at Rachel's. Chris Dahl usually eats the lunch buffet on weekdays, but Rachel's doesn't open until 5:00 on Sunday. It would cost at least $10 for a guy to get in, was Scott with her? Then on Monday Mandi went to back to her usual pattern. Except she spent a long time at Rachel's North before she went to Dollhouse on Monday, longer than any other day except the previous Thursday.
It took more than two years for Barbara Mellinger to reveal what she said she knew all along, that Mandi was at Dollhouse on Monday. I knew this from my cell tower map two years earlier. Mandi was also at Rachel's North Monday for probably at least 90 minutes, before she was at Dollhouse. Barbara Mellinger intentionally hid that Mandi was at Dollhouse on Monday, Mellinger basically admitted she kept it a secret at Love's trial. So it is fair to speculate that whoever saw Mandi at Rachel's North, or knew she was there immediately prior to coming to Dollhouse, also intentionally kept it a secret.
Why on Earth would Barbara Mellinger or anyone else hide from police what the girl who murdered her bff was doing on Monday? Why didn't she run around telling everyone "The little murdering bitch was here Monday also! She was stalking Jim! Here is the witness who saw her, he wants to make a statement!" Did she not want justice, was it not important to her?
Mellinger knew what Mandi was doing there Monday, and she knew that Mandi wasn't stalking Mulrenin to rob him. They knew what Mulrenin was doing, and they hid what Mulrenin was doing, and what Mandi was really doing, from police. And rather than investigate, Sprague himself hid or ignored any witnesses who mentioned the truth, because it did not fit his narrative. He is an eager accomplice, a stooge for the murder of a young girl by some strip-club dirtbags. Him and Phil Archer also, who will take an innocent person's life to appear tough on crime.
And of course mysterious blonde girl, whom nobody ever saw before, put her real name and her father's name on her Dollhouse application. Twice. And then she gave Neisha Cintron her real name and phone number, on the way out the door to rob her manager. All this, in the bizarre lying world of State Attorney Phil Archer's LEO Of The Year Benjamin Sprague.
Somebody, probably Big Mike, deleted the video of the main room of the Dollhouse the night Mulrenin died, and from the previous nights, before Mandi's lawyers got it. That video would have showed Mandi with Mulrenin all night Tuesday according to everyone. That video would have showed Mandi there the previous night, which Barbara Mellinger, the cell tower records, and the Stars manager all say she was there. Why on Earth would people who care about James Mulrenin delete video evidence of the person he was murdered by?
While Mandi Jackson whimpered like a dying dog, and got two life sentences at age 24 for something she didn't do, Big Mike was in the courtroom celebrating with his gender-ambiguous partner. Probably because he was finally free of his worry of being accused of a trafficking conspiracy in Orange County, by those backwoods dipshit Seminole prosecutors.
The disgusting Veigle's, who made their lives off the boobs of young girls exploited in a dead-end job and sold into cocaine and sodomy, breached their duty of care when they put a coke addict and sexual predator, with convictions for prostitution and racketeering, a man who would fill a young girls head with drugs for his own amusement and start violent confrontations with their boyfriends, in charge of the lives of young girls.
4. POLICE REPORT - January 2017
Report of Investigation

******************************************************
On December 14, 2016 the Altamonte Springs Police Department responded to The Lofts at Uptown Altamonte, 285 Uptown Blvd Unit 515 in reference to a person who jumped or fell from the fifth floor balcony. The person was later identified as James William Mulrenin. Mulrenin was initially transported to Florida Hospital Altamonte (FHA), however due to the severity of his injuries he was later transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC). Mulrenin suffered multiple injuries from the fall and a deep wound to the back of his left thigh which appeared to be a very deep stab wound or gunshot wound. Det. Ronnie Baker was tasked with staying with Mulrenin throughout his transport from FHA to ORMC.
Officers located Mulrenin's apartment (Unit 515) where the door was found ajar. Upon entering the apartment no one else was found inside and the rear sliding door was open. A roll of black duct tape was located partially under the couch along with a section of tape by the open glass slider balcony door that appeared to have been wrapped around something and torn off. The tape had suspected blood on the sticky portion. Several plastic/nylon zip ties were on the floor near the rug. There was a broken IPhone 7 Plus cell phone on the kitchen counter. This cellphone also had suspected blood on it and was later determined to be the property of Mulrenin. Crime Scene Investigator Alison Smolarek later located a projectile on the floor underneath Mulrenin's leather sectional couch on an additional search of Mulrenin's apartment (12/15/2016). The couch had a small puncture in the mid-section, consistent with that of a fired projectile. Upon further inspection of the apartment, CSI Smolarek located roughly thirteen thousand dollars in US currency, in the locked balcony closet. The money was located in a cardboard box which will be submitted into evidence. Please see her narrative for details pertaining to the evidence collected in Mulrenin's apartment.
At approximately 0805 hours, Det. Athaide, OFC Uzzi and I made contact with a resident in unit 415, which is directly underneath Mulrenin's apartment. The resident identified himself as Jerome Ashcroft and stated the following:
Ashcroft said on December 14, 2016 at roughly 0630 hours, he heard shouting coming from his apartment. Ashcroft advised he could not determine if it was more than one person. Ashcroft said he does remember furniture being moved around while this incident was going on. At one point Ashcroft remembers a stop in the shouting and heavy running to the balcony when he hears the ringing of the railing and then doesn't remember hearing anything after that. A copy of Aschroft's audio recorded interview will be attached to this report as BS1.
Det. Athaide was tasked with obtaining closed circuit video surveillance footage that was provided by the Lofts at Uptown Altamonte.
Det. Athaide was able to review video footage which indicated Mulrenin entered the parking garage of the Lofts at Uptown. Mulrenin is observed driving his dark colored Chrysler 300 and using his proximity card at 0429 hours on 12/14/2016 to gain entry. Mulrenin parks his vehicle on the second floor and travels up to his apartment located on the fifth floor. At 0449 hours, he returns to elevator A and takes it to the first floor service bay door. Mulrenin is seen on elevator A using his cellphone and carrying his lanyard that has his keys and proximity card attached to it. Mulrenin exits on the first floor and walks in the direction of Uptown Boulevard.
Three minutes after Mulrenin exits elevator A on the first floor, an unknown male later identified as Scott Michael Love (DOB 1/21/1986), is seen wearing a light colored hat, blue jeans and a sweatshirt with the words "Don't Tread On Me" on the back. Love is carrying a black bag, and observed on the closed circuit surveillance footage on the ground floor of the apartment complex parking garage, attempting to open the same elevator door Mulrenin exited from. Due to Love not having a key card to access the elevator he is not able to get into the elevator, whereupon he locates a set of steel freight doors which were left open because of a non-functioning latch.
Ay 0454 hours, only one minute after Love enters the complex through the unlocked service door, Mulrenin's proximity card is used in the parking garage to let in a female driving a black BMW passenger vehicle. That female is later identified as Mandi May Jackson (DOB 05/19/1995). Jackson is the owner of a black 2009 BMW model 328i, bearing Florida tag DQWW52 registered in her name.
At 0454 hours, Love who entered the unlocked service door, enters elevator A and travels to the fifth floor. Love exits the elevator and heads in the direction of Mulrenin's apartment.
At 0457 hours until 0500 hours, Love reenters the same elevator on fifth floor but this time only pushes the close door button and remains in wait.
At 0459 hours, Mulrenin and Jackson are seen entering the building from the fifth floor garage door. In this video, Jackson appeared to have a large tattoo on her right arm which was later confirmed upon contact.
At 0500 hours, Love peeks his head out of the elevator door, then walks in the direction of Mulrenin's apartment.
At 0527 hours, Mulrenin and Jackson enter the fifth floor garage together for a brief minute, then return to the building, entering the fifth floor door.
At approximately 0637 hours, a 9-1-1 call was received stating a male had fallen from the fifth floor balcony. At approximately 0642 hours, Seminole County Fire Department arrived on scene.
At 0643 hours, Jackson is seen running out of the fifth floor hallway door into the parking garage. Then roughly two minutes later, Jackson's back BMW is seen leaving the parking garage.
The video surveillance provided by the Lofts at Uptown Altamonte will be attached to this report.
Lt. Murphy and I went to Orlando Regional Medical Center and made contact with Det. Baker, who was standing by in emergency room 411. Det. Baker stated he was told by medical staff that Mulrenin had multiple leg fractures, a deep laceration to the back left thigh, and trauma to the head. I observed Mulrenin in emergency room 411 with multiple nurses tending to his care. He was unresponsive and unable to breath on his own so the assistance from a respiratory device was required. In the attempt to gain access to his cellular phone to try and determine his last phone calls and text messages, I tried to use his thumbprint to unlock his phone. It was unsuccessful.
Det. Baker advised a female identified as Barbara Mellinger was contacted by ORMC staff due to her being Mulrenin's emergency contact. I made contact with Mellinger (who is also a co-worker with Mulrenin at the Doll House in Orlando) and explained the situation in the attempt to help investigate this incident. After several minutes speaking with Mellinger, she explained she has known Mulrenin for many years and he would never jump off a balcony in the attempt to take his own life. Mellinger has never known Mulrenin to experience or have suicidal thoughts and this incident seemed very suspicious. Mellinger explained she does not remember Mulrenin having any enemies that would try and kill him.
Mellinger advised on December 13, 2016 the Dollhouse Club "had a good night." She further advised there were at least two individuals that spent over $20,000.00 at the club along with significant business from other patrons. According to witnesses, Mulrenin left the club with a substantial amount of money in cash totaling upwards of $2500. Witnesses also stated that Mulrenin always carried his money in a money clip. No money clip or wallet was located at his home.
Lt. Murphy and I made contact with Mike Garcia, the Doll House manager on duty, located at 5570 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, Florida 32839. Garcia stated the following.
Garcia said he did not work last night but remembers someone talking about a new female dancer who came in looking for Mulrenin. Garcia attempted to locate the video surveillance of the female from the previous night, but stated he would need to have his technician recover the footage at a later time. Det. Baker was later able to retrieve the entire DVR from the Doll House and submit it into property and evidence. Garcia also advised that later that night the female entertainers, along with valet staff and other employees would be in to help identify the female from the Lofts closed circuit video surveillance footage.
At approximately 2030 hours, Lt. Murphy and I met Toren Veigle and several members of the local entertainment businesses to try and identify the female and male seen in the video. Several members were shown an image and surveillance footage provided by the Lofts Apartment complex. A copy of this image and video was entered into evidence. Upon showing the images and video to "Little Mike", he immediately stated, "That is the white female from last night who drove the black BMW!" Little Mike stated he believed the Doll House had documentation of the female because he knew she filled out an application to dance at the club. The Doll House staff could not locate the application, but assured me that an application was filled out by the unknown female. Next, we made contact with Marc Gorewitz (Valet) and showed him the image and video of the male and female from the Lofts surveillance footage. Marc stated he recognized the female from last night because he valet parked her black BMW. Gorewtiz said at one point the female told him, "I have the black BMW." Gorewitz advised he would come to the Altamonte Springs Police Department at a later time and complete a recorded sworn statement.
The Doll House staff attempted to locate the female's application for employment, but was unable to find it at that time. Lt. Murphy and I were approached by a female dancer identified as Neisha Cintron also known as "Catalina", who stated she spoke with the unknown female last night as she was sitting at the bar. Cintron said the female introduced herself as "Mandi." Cintron could not specify if Mandi was her real name or her entertainer name. Cintron was able to provide a telephone number that Mandi had given her. Cintron showed me her cell phone with the name "Mandi" and a number provided as 407-876-4968. Cintron said she spoke with Mandi for several minutes because she did not have a dress, so she gave her one of her own. Cintron advised she would come to the Altamonte Springs Police Department at a later time and complete a recorded sworn statement. I contacted our agency's Intelligence Office MPO Dean and relayed him the information I was given by Cintron. After a few minutes, MPO Dean provided a name of Mandi Jackson DOB 05/19/1995. MPO Dean sent a picture of Jackson with a male later identified as Scott Love. The picture sent by MPO Dean was a picture taken from Facebook with Jackson and Love together. Cintron observed the picture and stated she was the same female seen at the Doll House last night.
We again spoke with Gorewitz and showed him the new photograph that MPO Dean found of Jackson. Gorewitz immediately was able to positively identify Jackson as the same female seen driving the black BMW lastr night at the Doll House.
Lt. Murphy and I left the Doll House and attempted to contact Jackson at several different address within Orange County. We were unable to locate her that night.
On the morning of December 15, 2016 I requested a subpoena for subscriber information and historical call records for phone number 407-876-4968. (Include who did the subpoena and the information gleaned from the records. Also, we need to mention the subpoena of Mulrenin's phone records and that his last phone call was to Mandi's phone.)
On December 15, 2016 Lt. Murphy, CSI Smolarek and I went back to Mulrenin's apartment. While conducting another search of his belongings, we were able to locate a fired projectile underneath the couch in the living room. A puncture hole was observed in the middle section of the couch, which is consistent to where the projectile was found. Also, Mulrenin's checkbook was obtained and with the help from Investigator Smalt with the Seminole County Sheriff's Office, a subpoena was obtained for Mulrenin's account activity. Please see CSI Smolarek's and Inv. Smalt's narrative.
On December 16, 2016 information was returned reference the subpoena that was submitted a day prior for Mulrenin's credit cards which indicated two transactions taking place in the amount of $286.49 and $64.13 at Walmart #5871 located at 5734 South Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando Florida on December 14th, 2016 at approximately 0848 hours and 0904 hours. Det. Baker responded to Walmart #5871 and recovered video footage that showed Love and Jackson purchasing one Sony Playstation for $286.49 and a phone for $64.13 using Mulrenin's credit card. In Wal-Mart's surveillance video Jackson was observed wearing the same pull over sweatshirt that Love was seen wearing in the Lofts video surveillance footage.
While Det. Baker and CSI Annabelle Arciniega were recovering the video from the above transaction, they were advised of a second purchase at the Walmart located at 3838 South Semoran Boulevard, Orlando, Florida. Det. Baker and CSI Arciniega met with their loss prevention employee Brandon Irving, who was able to provide a copy of the CCTV which showed Love and Jackson wearing the same clothing from Walmart #5871. This transaction took place on December 14th, 2016 at approximately 1042 hours. The video footage and receipt indicated the purchase of an XBOX One valued at $260, a Sony Playstation valued at $269, men's boots valued at $69 and one other miscellaneous item for $5.88. All of these purchases were again made with Mulrenin's credit card. A copy of the receipt will be attached to this report. Pleae see CSI Arciniega and Det. Baker's narrative.
It was discovered that on December 15th 2016, at approximately 1215 hours, Jackson and Love entered the Value Pawn #B1121 located at 6615 E Colonial Drive, Orlando, Florida 32807. Jackson pawned/sold an XBOX one console and received $160 for the transaction. She also pawned/sold a Sony PlayStation console and received $175 for the transaction. Jackson received a total of $335 from the pawn shop under ticket number 75215. Det. David was advised by Value Pawn staff that Jackson purchased an engagement ring with the funds she was provided from the recent fraudulent transaction. Det. David later retrieved the video footage and recovered the appropriate pawn broker transaction forms. Please see Det. David's narrative.
A subpoena was written by Det. Simmonds for Mulrenin's subscriber information and historical phone records which indicated multiple phone conversations that started from 0321 hours on December 14th 2016 until 0444 hours between Mulrenin's phone and the phone Jackson was using.
Due to the fact that Love and Jackson were both seen at Mulrenin's apartment during the short time frame leading up to his death, then using his credit card at Walmart roughly two hours after his murder, there was probable cause for their arrest for Felony Murder, Burglary to an Occupied Dwelling and Fraud.
Arrest warrants were written for both Love and Jackson. The warrants were signed by the Honorable Judge McIntosh of the 18th Circuit in Seminole County on December 16th 2016. Through certain investigative techniques, Jackson and Love along with Jackson's black BMW were located at 10389 Arbor Ridge Trail, Orlando, Florida.
I made contact with FDLE Task Force Agent Nuzzi and Orange County Deputy Sheriff Degraw at the above address. They advised both Jackson and Love were apprehended while inside the black BMW that was parked in front of the residence. I observed Jackson, handcuffed and sitting on a chair. Love was handcuffed and in the back of an Orange County Sheriff's vehicle. I looked through the windshield of Jackson's BMW and saw a credit card belonging to James Mulrenin in plain view on the center console.
I made contact with another resident of the above address who was identified as Jessica Reiche. Reiche stated Love and Jackson have been renting a bedroom for the ast four months. Reiche said Jackson recently returned to stripping because Love lost his job and they needed money. Reiche has been noticing items missing around the house and suspects Love or Jackson may have been involved in their disappearance. Reiche could not verify the whereabouts of Love or Jackson on the 13th or 14th of December. Reiche said they leave at night and come home early in the mornings.
Tri-County Towing arrived and transported Jackson's black BMW to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office Forensics garage bay. Det. Athaide and CSI Arciniega took pictures of the vehicle before it was removed from the scene. They followed behind the vehicle during the entire transport.
Lt. Murphy and I had Love and Jackson transported to the nearest Orange County Sheriff's Office substation for a recorded interview.
First, we made contact with Jackson and advised her of her Miranda Warning. Jackson waived her rights and agreed to speak with us. I asked Jackson if she knows or knew James/Jim Mulrenin, in which she responded, "No." I asked if Jackson was ever in Alatomnte Springs last week. Jackson responded, "No." Jackson then requested to speak with legal counsel. Jackson was transported to the Orange County Jail for processing.
Next, we made contact with Love and conducted a recorded interview. Love was read his Miranda Warning. Love waived his rights and agreed to speak with us. I asked Love is he was familiar a guy named Jim/James Mulrenin. Love responded, "No." I explained that Mulrenin lived at the Lofts apartment complex and Love said he was familiar with it. I asked if he has ever been to the Lofts and he said he has in the past to do work. I asked specifically if he was there last week and he said, "No". Lt. Murphy showed Love a picture of Mulrenin. At first, Love said he has not seen Mulrenin before but later stated he might have seen him in the club, but never met in person. Lt. Murphy showed Love a picture provided by the Lofts at Uptown Altamonte that was a still shot of Love gaining access in the front service door. Love stated it was not him and he was not there.
Lt. Murphy showed him another still shot from inside the elevators at the Lofts at Uptown of Love and the sweatshirt that stated, "Don't tread on me" on the back. Love denied it being him.
Lt. Murphy showed Love still shots from Walmart of him and Jackson. Love stated it was Jackson but not him. Upon further speaking with Love, he requested to speak with legal counsel. Love was transported to the Orange County Jail for processing. A copy of the interview will be attached to this report.
A search warrant for 10389 Arbor Ridge Trail was written by Det. Van Cleave and signed by the Honorable Orange County Circuit Court Judge, Faye Allen. The following items were located inside Jackson and Love's bedroom in the house at 10389 Arbor Ridge Trail, Orlando Florida.

On December 16th 2016, CSI Smolarek and I traveled to the Orange County Medical Examiner's Office for Mulrenin's autopsy. The preliminary investigation revealed that Mulrenin sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg that has a corresponding exit wound. It was also determined that Mulrenin had a lacerated brain stem, hemorrhage all over his brain, neck fracture (c-6), hemorrhage on the spinal cord ner neck, bruised lungs, both femurs broken, with other fractures on both lower legs.
On December 20 2016, Detective Simmonds applied for and was granted a lawful search warrant for Mandi Jackson's BMW. The warrant was granted and signed by the Honorable M.E. Herr of the Seminole County.
On December 20th 2016, Lt. Murphy, CSI Smolarek, Seminole County Deputy Sheriff Andrew Smalt of the Economic Crimes Division and I travelled to the Seminole County Sheriff's Office. At this point it is my belief due to the video footage provided by the Loftsat Uptown Altamonte, the video footage from both Walmart stores, the video footage from the Value Pawn, the financial records of Mulrenin, the witnesses statements prior to the fall of Mulrenin, evidence located inside Mulrenin's apartment, the evidence located inside the address of 10389 Arbor Ridge Trail, the evidence collected inside Jackson's vehicle and the body of James Mulrenin, the following events took place during the time frame of 12/13/2016 and 12/20/2016.
James Mulrenin was working at his job at the Doll House on the night of December 13th 2016 according to numerous co-workers and video surveillance. Mandi Jackson enhtered the Doll House on the same night, filled out an application and waited for several hours to speak with Mulrenin. Jackson was seen by several Doll House employees and had a converstion with Neisha Cintron and exchanged numbers that ultimately led to the discovery of who she was. After working that night it was verified through Mulrenin's cell phone records that he and Jackson had communicated through text messages from 0321 hours to 0444 hours on December 14th 2016.
Mulrenin arrived home from work at roughly 0430 hours on December 14th 2016, and is seen on video footage walking out of his apartment near 0500 hours and meeting with Jackson. Jackson is seen using Mulrenin's proximity card to enter the Lofts at Uptown garage in her registered 2009 Black BMW. They park on the fifth floor parking garage at the same time Scott Love is seen sneaking into the Lofts at Uptown through and unlocked metal service door. Scott Love uses the elevator and travels up tp the fifth floor where Mulrenin's unit is located. Love pushes the "close door" button during the same time frame as Mulrenin and Jackson enter the building from the fifth floor parking garage. As Mulrenin and Jackson pass by the elevator, Love is seen peaking his head out then walks in the same direction as them. Roughly twenty minutes go by and Mulrenin and Jackson are seen entering the fifth floor parking garage going in the direction of Jackson's vehicle, before returning and entering the building again.
It is believed at this time, Love was able to enter Mulrenin's unlocked unit and hid just prior to the return of Jackson and Love. While inside, a struggle took place where Mulrenin was duct taped and zip tied in the event to rob him. During the struggle, Mulrenin was able to free himself from the restraints and in the process sustained a single gunshot wound to the back of the leg. After the shot, Mulrenin is screaming and runs to the balcony because that is the only place left to flee. In the attempt to try and save his life, he goes over the rail and tries to grab the bottom of the railing to swing to the balcony underneath, but falls to his death.
During this time witnesses Songer and Smith, hear the initial yelling from Mulrenin, then a hear gunshot, then see him go over the rail. A 911 call is placed indicating a male fell or jumped out of a fifth floor balcony. Within a couple minutes of officers arriving on scene, Jackson is seen exiting the building from the fifth floor into garage in a hurry. A minute later her vehicle is seen exiting the complex, never to return.
At approximately 0730 hours, detectives arrive on scene and locate black duct tape with suspected blood on it, a bunched up throw rug with suspected blood on it in the middle of the floor with three zip ties surrounding it, suspected blood on the balcony door, suspected blood the front door, on the floor next to couch and a fired projectile underneath the coach.
Within two hours of this incident, Jackson and Love are seeing entering Walmart together wearing similar clothing as they did on the video footage provided by the Lofts at Uptown. While inside Walmart, Jackson and Love use Mulrenin's credit cards to purchase fraudulent items. Another hour after that, Jackson and Love are seen on Walmart video entering another Walmart and purchasing other items with Mulrenin's credit cards.
Later that night, when Lt. Murphy and I make contact with Doll House staff, several employees verify Jackson is the same female seen on the Lofts at Uptown's video footage as the same female who was inside the Doll House looking for James Mulrenin the night before (12/13/2016).
On December 15th 2016, Jackson and Love are observed and captured on CCTV from the Value Pawn Shop, selling some of the same items they purchased with Mulrenin's credit cards the day before at Walmart.
On December 19th 2016, Jackson and Love are arrested on an arrest warrant for the above mentioned crime and taken to a secure location where Lt. Murphy and I conducted a recorded Information. Love and Jackson agreed to speak with us and stated they did not know James Mulrenin nor did they seem him during the time frame given of his death.
Search warrants were written and signed for Jackson's vehicle and house where they have been staying for the past four months. Inside the residence and vehicle were credit cards belonging to Mulrenin, zip ties, suspected blood on plastic booties and plastic gloves, a firearm with one round missing, similar duct tape as the kind found in Mulrenin's apartment, Doll House application, pawn slips, jeans, "don't tread on my sweatshirt" like the one seen on video surveillance at the Lofts, straw hat, gold Nixon watch that was later identified as the same watch Mulrenin wears at work and other miscellaneous items that would indicated Jackson and Love knew or had seen Mulrenin within the past few weeks.
Upon completion of this investigation and all the facts found herein, I found probable cause to charge Mandi May Jackson and Scott Michael Love with one cound of Felony Murder per F.S.S. 782.04(1)(a)(2); Burglary Occupied per F.S.S. 810.02(3a); and Fraud per F.S.S. 817,.539(2).

5. VIDEO GENERAL APPEARANCE - December 2016
The video clips from Mulrenin's Lofts apartments prove three things:
1) Mandi Jackson was an invited guest by a Lofts resident, Scott Love was not.
2) No plan for robbery, and not even any plan for coordination, can explain what Scott and Mandi are seen separately doing. The only way I can explain the actions taken on video, and their timing, is if Scott is acting independently from Mandi. Nobody has ever come up with a robbery plan, that can explain the timing and order of what they are each seen doing on video. Anybody who looks at these stoned idiots and tells you he sees them act like they planned anything in advance at any point, is a liar.
3) Police screwed around with the video, probably both a) to hide what really happened, and b) to try to show a plan, between two people who were never together, who were never in communication, and who were probably both acting against the wishes of the other, as couples often do when the rent is late.
Everyone sees Scott go into the building without being invited in by a resident. And there were no phone calls or any other type of communication with Mandi when he was not with her. Scott did not have a phone, he bought one first thing the next day.
I grew up before cellphones. Today, I would never participate in a plan with a separate person at a strange location, without a cellphone. Mandi has never known a world without cellphones. It is inconceivable that she would design a robbery plan that involved another person at an unfamiliar location, without first obtaining a second cellphone. If she can afford gas and food, she can afford to buy a used burner phone or borrow one to coordinate with Scott. But she didn't.
Scott had no way to contact her, the entire time she was at Dollhouse and Mulrenin's apartment. And Mandi had no way to contact Scott.
Scott showed up with no plan how to get in. Even though someone just swiped the freight door and it would have been unlocked, Scott tried the freight elevator. Not even residents can open the freight elevator from the outside. Once inside, Scott is seen wandering around in circles, and smoking, like he still has no plan or idea what to do next.
When you see Scott on video at The Lofts, you ask the question what is he there for? Mandi Jackson was accused of robbery, meaning taking something from a person by force. But the prosecution then shows Mulrenin had some cash stashed in a box, with the idea that somehow Mandi knew about it before police found it, and went there to take it. Cash stashed in a box that you know about does not have to be taken by force. Mandi can grab it and walk out when Mulrenin is asleep or in the bathroom. She doesn't need Scott.
Police found some cash in a box in Mulrenin's apartment. The fact that it was there and police found it, was their only evidence Mandi knew it was there. Is it possible for Mandi to to know some cash is there, and know it with enough confidence to plan an armed robbery that involves applying for a job and having your boyfriend come with a gun, without knowing where the cash is? If she has not seen the cash herself, how would she have so much confidence to make an elaborate plan to get it? Suppose Mulrenin told her "I have cash in a box hidden in my house." Would she believe him enough to set up an elaborate plan to get it? She would have to have seen it herself to go through so much.
Mandi spends two hours at Mulrenin's apartment drinking vodka. Does she have any reason to expect Mulrenin will throw her out before she gets a chance to steal something inside his one-bedroom apartment? Mandi is there for two hours, longer than the run time of the movie "Die Hard." But she leaves without taking the cash, without disturbing any bed covers, boxes, cabinets, drawers, or storage areas, and without even taking the drugs in plain sight which presumably she has been using.
Remember, I found Mandi on Backpage.com, when she was a teenage hooker "runnin and earnin" in Miami. I estimate she has been into more than 100 guys apartments and hotel rooms. Her pimp never went into the hotel rooms. Mandi is perfectly comfortable in an apartment with Mulrenin, and trusts herself way more than Scott, who works in paving and has never even been to a hotel. Mandi has been years in rooms with old men making small talk about her cats, sitting around while guys are in the shower, drinking drinks, smoking on the balcony, eating the free cookie, making the guys comfortable. Mandi has been years walking out of guys' rooms with cash. You might say it is the only thing she knows how to do. If she wants to steal from Mulrenin, she only needs to do it a little different this time, and take all the cash instead of just what the guy wants to give her. It is certainly something her years have prepared her to do without a gun.
It is also hard not to remember the obvious: Mandi is able to empty old guys' wallets pretty well without stealing. They are happy to give her the money. A girl is born naked with everything she needs to take a guy's money. Never in the years I knew Mandi, during all the guys she went through, did she ever mention a strong guy might help her do better what she could already do very well. The sad truth is every stripper's entire life plan is based on the assumed uselessness of her own boyfriend. The plan is always "you wait outside while I go make us some money." If Mandi wanted a boyfriend who did things to make money, there are many out there. Strippers want instead to feel needed and be the provider.
Maybe Mandi doesn't want to be accused of stealing, by someone who is in her social circle. So she doesn't want to be in Mulrenin's apartment when something gets stolen. She could easily fix that by going home with any of 10,000 richer guys just in Orlando, who are not in her social circle. She can walk down OBT, or place an ad on backpage, pick a guy with a nicer car or house than Mulrenin, and show up totally anonymous.
But if her idea is to distract Mulrenin so Scott can enter and leave while Mulrenin is not home, the video doesn't fit that either. First, if you believe the police timeline of the video clips, Mandi called Mulrenin out to the curb before Scott was in position to sneak in. Mandi then drove through Mulrenins garage at a high rate of speed and went into his apartment, when she could have dreamed up something to keep Mulrenin out in the car for longer. Then, rather than leaving immediately to rendezvous with Scott, Mandi goes inside Mulrenin's apartment and stays.
How does she know Scott has not already been inside as planned while Mulrenin was at the curb? Smoke signals? And if her plan is to have Scott go in and out when Mandi brings Mulrenin out to the garage later, as suggested by police, then why does Mandi supposedly go back in and stay there for another 80 minutes after she brings Mulrenin out to the garage? Wouldn't Mandi immediately start trying to distract Mulrenin when she gets to The Lofts, and then immediately leave to meet up with Scott and regroup to find out if he got in?
Mulrenin goes out at least twice, first to meet Mandi at the curb, second with her in the garage. If both those failed, Mandi would need to go out and talk to Scott, and either leave or try again immediately. Whatever was going to happen, it would have happened success or failure in under an hour. And then Mandi would leave to meet up with Scott.
So suppose Mandi was not willing to do the stealing herself while she was in there. And she did not distract Mulrenin outdoors as long as she could have. And then she stayed long after Scott was out of chances to sneak in. The only other plan she could have is taking by force, robbery, Scott going in with a gun like actually happened. Why wait two hours? Why not just have Scott knock on the door right behind Mandi? Why have Scott wander around looking like an idiot for 90 minutes? Why even apply to the strip club?
There is no reason for Mandi to leave the apartment to let Scott in, as suggested by police. She would want to be there when Scott comes in. But given Scott has no phone or any way to communicate with Mandi, they are not going to have Scott wait 90 minutes with no communication before coming in. Scott is not seen looking at or wearing a watch, or anything that tells time, on all the Lofts video.
When Mandi comes back from the garage with Mulrenin, she appears to put out a cigarette carefully. She then looks at it, and throws it away. It looks like she is trying to put it out and save it, so she can light it again when she gets to Mulrenin's apartment. Why would a girl about to do armed robbery be preoccupied with saving a half-smoked cigarette?
Clearly Mulrenin was shot and bled for at most a few minutes before going over the balcony. Unless you think they taped him up to stop the bleeding, and then just sat and watched him for 80 minutes. If you think Scott went in right at the beginning, then spent 80 minutes in there without opening any boxes or cabinets, that makes even less sense. The run time of the movie "Dog Day Afternoon" was two hours and five minutes. But at least in "Dog Day Afternoon" they made some phone calls. No armed robbery in the history of man takes two hours.
Mulrenin's closet and storage areas were not disturbed in any way, in Smolarek's pictures. Storage boxes still sit packed on the top shelf, nobody took them down and emptied them. Nobody lifted the mattress to check under it. According to Patrolman Uzzi the bed was made when he came in. Neither the bed drawers, nor any other drawers or cabinets, were found open when police entered. Nobody took the weed or the cool pipe, or the white iphone, in plain sight on the kitchen counter. Nobody took the $20 bill, two bags of cocaine, and a pill, off the first shelf in the first kitchen cabinet. Nobody took a large amount of weed and cocaine in a mug on the second shelf of the first kitchen cabinet. Nobody took the large pile of cash in a tin in the kitchen cabinet. Nobody took the weed in the freezer. Nobody took the second white iphone, and the ipad, stored in plain sight on the kitchen counter to look blingy.
Mandi smokes weed, I have no doubt weed is what she was in there for. It is not disputed that Mulrenin was doing cocaine that night, so Mandi would know the cocaine and $20 bill are there. Given two hours, and knowing where the weed and cocaine are, she did not take them.
For a guy who plans an armed robbery, Scott spends a lot of time standing in front of cameras. The next day at Walmart, when he really does want to go incognito, he ditches the paving hat for a baseball cap. At Lofts he is never seen checking his gun on video, he is never seen putting on gloves as alleged. He spends time smoking in plain view in an open area. He carries his bag behind like an afterthought, not in front like someone who plans to take items out and use them.
If you look at the exact timing of everything Scott and Mandi do, according to the video times provided by police, you cannot tell me a robbery plan that makes any sense. Definitely not for two people with no communication. You cannot tell me what the plan was, and then use the Lofts video to show Scott and Mandi pursuing that plan. And especially given nobody went into Mulrenin's boxes or drawers or closet or bed, or even took the weed and cocaine and $20 bill which were right in the kitchen.
Never in the history of armed robbery, do armed robbers hang around for two hours. Either they were in there for two hours not stealing, or they waited two hours to start stealing, for no reason. Or maybe the reality is they stayed there for two hours and never started a robbery. There was waiting going on. But it was simply Scott waiting for Mandi to come out. And Mandi was not in there impatient to steal, but doing cocaine without a care in the world. Or passed out drunk, or passed out from her anxiety medicine, which was normal for her.
And eventually Scott ran out of patience, or the sun was coming up and he needed to go to work. Or people leaving for work acted suspicious of him and made him uncomfortable, who knows. Maybe he was listening in the hall, and thought he heard Mandi in distress.
That brings up another thing Mandi learned during her years as a hooker. You have to be discreet. If you were to start screaming or shouting, people would come running. There are apartments on both sides of Mulrenin, across the hall, above and below, and with balconies next to his. When Mandi used to go out on the balcony and smoke with me at downtown Travelodge, we could see people having hotel parties in the neighboring rooms. The night Mulrenin died, people from below, next door, even two rooms away from Mulrenin did hear a commotion, and became witnesses.
Mandi knows and could have predicted this, from the time the guys wouldn't ler her out of the hotel room. She and her friend Toni had to scream, they knew to scream. And when they did, security came running. Mandi told me the second week I met her, that in hotels and apartments, even a 100-pound girl is safe from being robbed because everyone can hear you scream. You can look on adultsearch.com today, and see girls charge $200 for incall and $300 for outcall. Because meeting strangers in hotel rooms is safer than going to houses.
I also know Mandi told her lawyer in confidence, that she did not tell Scott to come in there. When Mandi finally agreed to let me pay for lawyer Carrie Rentz, Carrie went over to the jail one time and talked to Mandi about what happened. Then I went over to Carrie's office to pay. This was before Carrie stopped talking to me. Carrie is used to defendants who are out on bond and talk to the people who pay for their lawyers. So Carrie just assumed I would have talked to Mandi about what happened, which I had not.
Carrie said "Do YOU think she told Scott to come in there?" The obvious implication is Mandi told Carrie she did NOT tell Scott to come in there. Carrie was not playing games. She was trying get $100,000 from me and understand the case. My answer was "ABSOLUTELY not."
Then Carrie asked me if Mandi approved of a guy running around with a gun. I told her what I think is probably the truth. Mandi is a stripper, she is not judgmental of guys. She takes them as they come. If a guy wears purple, she is going to say "Oh, you wear purple." If a guy is carrying a gun, she is going to say "Oh, you carry a gun." Carrie was shaking her head "Oh my God!"
Mandi came into the world with wide eyes and an open mind. She does not know how the world is supposed to work. She just cares that you keep your promise to pay her for sex and don't steal. She accepts that guys "mind-fuck themselves" and she just has to live with it. But it is possible Mandi does have an opinion, and might get angry with what I just said. Maybe she does object to guys carrying guns, I don't know for sure.
The implication of what Carrie said is Scott had a gun that night. And Carrie was trying to understand if Mandi told him to, or knew about it, or should have stopped him. Was Mandi in control of that in any way? All Mandi expected is that Scott would not come bother her while she was doing what she does with Mulrenin. Beyond that it doesn't matter, he can do what the fuck he wants.
I knew right off what the real the plan at The Lofts was. Before I even read the arrest affidavit. Mandi leaves one guy waiting, while she is having sex with another guy. Over and over and over. Originally it was pimps, then it was boyfriends. She used to leave them waiting while she had sex with me. But I was gone, so on this day it was Mulrenin.
I went down there and saw the Lofts was a big, formidable building with a lot of security. From the sidewalk, unit 515 seemed like a very distant and abstract place. If you left someone at the sidewalk, that would seem like a long way away, you would never think he would find his way up to unit 515.
I saw there was a Denny's right before you get to The Lofts, that was open 24 hours. I figured there was a pretty good chance she left Scott there, and told him she was doing a quick drug deal or something. The same as when she left Primo at Popeyes and Burger King and Walmart. The same as when she left Chris Dahl and his friends at Publix. The same as when she told her mom and little brother to wait in the street outside their house. The same as when she left poodle boy at her mom's house, and Tywaun at Ale House. All when she met up with me to have sex for money.
But looking at the original video clips provided by police, there were still two things left to explain: 1) How did Scott arrive ahead of Mandi? 2) Where was Scott inside the building all that time until the event happened?
There was some empty land between Denny's and The Lofts, with a clear view of The Lofts from the Denny's back parking lot. Scott could have run across that land. If Mandi got caught on a one-way street or texted for directions, Scott would have arrived before her. So what did he do next? Did he go find the lounge and fall asleep? Was he happy to wait in there while she was having sex with another guy?
It is at this point where you begin to notice problems with the video itself.
The police report says Scott propped open the security door, when he entered the garage and found Mandi's car. But the original clips provided by police didn't show that. Police said Mandi brought Mulrenin into the garage so Scott could gain access to his apartment. Never mind that makes no sense. The original video clips provided by police showed Mulrenin walking into the garage alone, and it appeared Mandi was already in there.
And there was no video of Scott leaving. You can see Mandi run out and drive out alone. You can see her black dress straps in the drivers seat. You can see a drink cup in the passenger cupholder that was also visible when she drove in through the gate. But her passenger seat is empty when she drives out. According to witnesses Jackson Athaide and Michelle Ervin, there were security cameras covering every entrance and exit, and there were no technical problems with the system on the night Mulrenin died.
Do you believe police really lost the video of 1) their murderer propping open a security door to enter the murder scene, 2) Mandi taking the victim into the garage so Scott can supposedly sneak in, and 3) their murderer fleeing the scene? The lack of any video of Scott leaving is stunning. You would think police would provide video of every door, just to prove the stunning fact that Scott is not seen leaving on any of them. But they didn't.
The entire crime, as they described it, was missing from the original set of video clips provided by police.
The next thing you notice, is the video clips provided by police had no time information. Not on the file names, not in the metadata which is a way for the time to be included with each frame of video, not watermarked into the video image itself, nowhere. Instead, police provided a bunch of hand-typed files. They tried to make it seem like multiple police independently reviewed the video, and wrote notes of the time of each video clip.
Are you going to claim the Lofts security system did not provide any times on the video? Are you seriously going to claim a bunch of lazy cops took the time to write down the times by hand, when they could have just used the times that were right there in the video?
So I'm thinking police threw away the original times. There was not any actual video of Scott "clearly" texting, as claimed in the arrest affidavit. There was no actual evidence they were coordinating. So they moved up Scott's entry to make it look like he arrived at the same time as Mandi, coordinated their entering, and then did nothing for 90 minutes.
And since Scott did not leave with Mandi, they cut out the clip of him entering the garage earlier when he propped open the door, so they could pair it with Mandi running out into the garage later, and make like Scott left with her. And they probably wanted Mandi coming into the garage after Mulrenin, to leave his apartment door unlocked. So they tried to do something with the video of her actually entering the garage in front of Mulrenin.
6. VIDEO AND DISCOVERY IN SEMINOLE - 2017, 2018, 2019
For years, Mandi's parents kept asking her lawyers "What about this video with no timestamps? Can they really get away with that?" Mandi's attorney kept telling them don't worry, they would get the real video.
It came out in depositions that Scott Love's attorney, Michael Nielsen, requested to do some kind of viewing, of some of the evidence police had from the Lofts. I got confused and thought this might mean he saw all the Lofts video, not just the few clips they provided without timestamps. Nielsen went to a police station or something, and he may have been able to see additional video stored on a hard drive or something. I am unable to find any record of this today, so he may have just been looking at the gloves not the video, and I misunderstood.
I say "or something" because this was all back-channel. Nielsen could lose the notes, or maybe he didn't take notes, and nobody would ever know it happened. And Nielsen would be happy to lose the notes, if he wanted to confirm the additional video of his client Scott Love leaving, or wandering around the different floors of the Lofts, really had been deleted. If Nielsen was satisfied the missing video had been deleted, then he no longer had to worry about being surprised by it. And neither he nor the police have any incentive to ever speak about it.
Mandi's attorneys were a little curious about the missing video and altered timestamps. It came out in a deposition of Alison Smolarek, that the hard drive with the Lofts video was described to Mandi's attorneys as "lost" at some point. I don't know when they asked to see it, maybe after Scott Love's trial when the deleted clips of Scott Love were no longer relevant. At deposition, ASPD video expert Athaide made contradictory statements about how the Epiphan video-grab tool was just a screen recorder of another running system, which could nevertheless be used on a freestanding hard drive. And Athaide didn't know why the timestamps were missing in the first set of video clips.
I guess Mandi's attorneys are not made of money. They have families, mortgages, and other cases. So they were also happy to proceed with the altered video. It made their defense simpler. And because this was all back-channel, there was no public record of how they discovered the video was altered and deleted. And they have no incentive to ever speak about it.
You know from me writing this, there was one person who actually wanted the real Lofts video. I copied Judge Reckseidler's assistant Vanessa Lau on some of my emails. I can only infer, my emails resulted in some more back-channel activity, off the public record. Recksiedler then spoke a few brief words at a pre-trial hearing around December 2018, something to the effect that the sketchy video had been verified, so she would allow it at Love's trial.
The result of the back-channel request from Judge Recksiedler or however it came about, was Athaide made a new set of video clips right before Love's trial, supposedly from the hard drive they said was lost. And he got Lofts manager Michelle Ervin, who was a party to altering the original timestamps, and also a Mulrenin associate, to sign the disk as authentic. But this did not come out until months later, after I noticed the video at Scott Love's trial was different from anything I had seen. Athaide later admitted at deposition, he made a new set of clips for Love's trial, which State Attorney Stewart Stone never provided to Love or Jackson's attorneys.
In fact, it was only ever spoken or admitted one time that I know of, by any member of The Florida Bar or ASPD, that the video had been altered. That was a whisper in the back of courtroom 5D, around Wednesday of Scott Love's trial.
I had just been stunned to see video shown to Scott Love's jury, that was new, that had I never seen before. When I saw the dog walker let Love in the freight door, and Athaide admitted the timestamps were off seven minutes, I suddenly realized the dog walker in the garage was the same one at the freight door, and Love probably came in 7 minutes later when Jackson was in the garage. It was actually way more than 7 minutes later, but I had only just seen this for the first time. My first guess was that everything but Scott arriving was changed 7 minutes later.
Mandi's attorney Carrie Rentz had other business in the courthouse, and stepped into the courtroom briefly, to see what was going on in Love's trial. I assumed this new video with the dog walker had been disclosed to the her, and I was the only one left out of the loop. So I ran up to her excited, and I mentioned how the new video showed the dog walker where the police edited the video, and Scott came in seven minutes later behind the dog walker yada yada yada, which I assumed Carrie already knew.
At first Carrie seemed confused. She had never heard of any dog walker letting Love in the freight door, and Prosecutor Stewart Stone never gave her the new video. So I said something like "You can see how Scott actually got there later while Mandi was in the garage with Mulrenin, and police edited the video."
Carrie responded to me "Oh, I know. Can you BELIEVE they did that?"
The next time I approached Carrie in the courtroom, was when she told the judge she just found out there was new video that had not been disclosed. I asked her if she was aware of some specific deleted and rearranged Lofts video like "You have never seen the dog walker?" Carrie responded "Wait, I don't know, what?" To this day, there has never been any admission on the public record, from any defense attorney or public employee, that the video was altered.
Beginning from the day the court found out Stone withheld the new video clips, all discovery disputes, particularly pertaining to video, including video from Dollhouse, were only sparingly discussed on the public record. The sketchy discovery was preferably discussed as bench conferences or through some unknown back channel.
Mandi's attorneys also suggested at some point that exculpatory portions were deleted from the Dollhouse video. Based on the limited clips and bad camera angles I saw used at trial, that seems to be the case. At some point, a jury might find it interesting if the police conduct included deleting parts of the Dollhouse video. But if you became Mandi Jackson's lawyer today, you might never know it happened or anything was missing.
You have to understand, all these attorneys in shithole Seminole County feed at the trough of the State Attorney's office. Mandi's attorneys Rentz and Bark were Seminole County prosecutors, and could go back to it any day. Even if they are private attorneys, or registry attorneys in a given year, their relationships with the State Attorney, and with their peers in the local legal community, are more valuable than any client who will pay them only one time. I don't doubt the police lied in their cases also, when they were prosecutors. Are they really going to break the silence for a half-retarded hooker whose family is broke and mute?
The five-storey criminal courthouse is probably the nicest building, and the largest employer of females at white-collar wages, in all of Seminole County. It is filled with cute lawyer girls, who for some reason all went to Stetson University. A surprising number of prosecutors, plus Judge Jessica Recksiedler, and Mandi's attorney Carrie Rentz, are all cute girls who got their law degree from Stetson University. Even Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, who went to work for Trump, attended Stetson University.
So they live up there in Seminole County, enjoying the cheap housing and trying to practice law. And if they ever get tired of buying billboards or web ads, they always have the State Attorney's office, and their Stetson sorority, to fall back on. But not if they antagonize the local law-enforcement community. If they start to turn over rocks in local police departments, they will never be welcomed in the biggest payer of wages relative to rents, in Seminole County, again. If they ever get sick and can't keep up a private law schedule, or fall on hard times, they will be out in the cold. Their little suburban fairy tale will come to an end. So they can't be too zealous taking on the local establishment.
So I asked the FDLE to help me by looking into the crooked police activity in this case. And the FDLE called the attorneys in Seminole County and asked "What's this about?" And of course all the attorneys said "NOTHING." So now they can all still get cake jobs at the State Attorney's office, if needed. Because they are friends with the local police, whose children attend school with their own children.
In rural Louisiana, my friend ran into a problem where a crooked lying sheriff's deputy was in the same congregation as the public defender. Don't ever confuse a place like that, where people attend church, with Seminole County.
I am not saying Carrie Rentz is crooked. For the human race, she is above average. She is a decent person who believes there is such a thing as right and wrong. Whereas most attorneys, I discovered in the course of these events, are degenerate self-absorbed sociopaths. In Seminole County they are additionally a little desperate. Because they have to struggle working with the mainstream of law every day, that is a little above their SAT scores.
The day-to-day operations of the institutions in our society for punishing wrongdoing, and obtaining just outcomes to criminal conflict, are run by people who do not feel any sense of right and wrong. Their joy in life is deciding whose clients get to lie and pay off their student debt, and whose clients get lied about and go bankrupt. And then they make a mockery of the morals of jurors, by getting up on their high horses with straight perjury. While the papers are granted a special privilege to embellish all lies about whatever human gets sacrificed, to agitate public support for the scam. Prosecutors and defense attorneys alike benefit, the more easily the process can be fixed with lies. You will never see either side argue that those who lie at trial should be punished. And what the public sees is not unlike the lady being cut in half at a Las Vegas magic show.
So Carrie Rentz is the best of them, which is not saying much. But unless an attorney is a famous millionaire, his relationships in the local community will always be more valuable to him than the outcome for a particular client. Any attorney with an ambition to pay his mortgage and support his family, and preserve his white-picket-fence dream, will have to guard his relationships in a small semi-rural community more zealously than his client.
And as you know in this case, police primarily altered evidence in an effort to tie Mandi to the actions of Scott Love, to build a case that she was a "principal" in a robbery to pressure her to testify against him. According to my best analysis, the missing video would show Scott Love entering the building after Mandi, and wandering all over trying to track her down.
Paraphrasing what I told State Attorney employee Crystal Martin at some point, pigs will fly before I ever get my hands on that missing video of the dog walker inside the garage. There is only one person in a world of 10 billion who even even cares the video is missing. Certainly not Mandi Jackson, she is too stupid to know anything beyond the price of cheetos in jail. She is not even allowed to possess videos in her cell awaiting trial.
If it is ever your kid, that one person who cares police faked evidence will be you. Good luck. You know and I know that you can't write 300 pages like I am doing here.
7. VIDEO TAMPERED - December, 2016
Police originally provided 18 video clips from the Lofts apartments, named "1.avi" to "18.avi". The clips were represented as showing:
1) Love gained entry through a broken door, after Jackson called Mulrenin out to the curb, but before Jackson knew she would be invited in by a Mulrenin who brought a drink to the curb to look inviting (Jackson parked perpendicular to the garage entrance).
2) Jackson and Mulrenin then parked on the southwest corner of the fifth-floor garage, and Love hid inside elevator A and texted Jackson, as Jackson and Mulrenin passed by.
3) Jackson took Mulrenin into the garage, leaving the apartment door unlocked behind her, to give Love an opportunity to sneak into Mulrenin's apartment while Jackson delayed Mulrenin in the garage.
4) Jackson ransacked Mulrenin's apartment after he went over the balcony, and only fled after police sirens arrived on scene.
Every one of these claims is FALSE.
1) The video timestamps were deleted off the video for no honest reason, and added later, in a most suspicious manner surrounded by lies and misleading statements.
2) There are at least a dozen artifacts of changed stories, lies, and hidden video, that point to a dog walker letting Love in the building long after Jackson had arrived, not before or at the same time as Jackson, as claimed by police and presented to the grand jury.
3) At least two out of three, of Detectives Sprague and Athaide, the video, and apartment manager Michelle Ervin, present impossible or contradictory information, and are unreliable or misleading as witnesses of what happened.
4) The video timestamps were admitted to be wrong, and the alleged video timeline including Love hiding in the elevator as Mulrenin passed by, and Jackson fleeing when sirens arrive, is impossible.
8. VIDEO TIMESTAMPS DELETED
The original 18 clips provided by police had no time or date information whatsoever, except the files were created and modified on December 21, 2016 from around 8 AM to 10 AM. Clip 10 of Jackson and Mulrenin driving into the garage, was created before clip 9 of Love getting onto the freight elevator. There was a 42-minute gap from when clip 5 of Mulrenin going down the freight elevator was made, until the next set of clips was made, supposedly showing both Love and Jackson arriving around the same time. It took a lot of work or a lot of coffee or something, to lay out that next sequence starting with clip 6.
Based on Jackson Athaide's deposition and testimony about how these clips were made, it would have taken a lot of extra work to go through and remove the dates and times from all of the video. For no known reason other than the obvious, that is what they did. Police provided instead a series of hand-typed files, to create the appearance that multiple police were independent witnesses who reviewed and confirmed the times of each clip, before deleting the times from the video for no reason.

Interestingly, “Lofts Powerpoint.pptx” and “Video Clips.docx” both contain a few screen grabs with the time and date still on the video, even though these files were modified after the 18 clips were produced with the times removed. So these files were created before the times were removed, and edited after the times were removed. Some of these files even have peculiar timestamps of their own, being modified at the same second 30 minutes apart.
9. DOG WALKER HIDDEN
In none of these files, nor in any arrest affidavit or police report, is it ever revealed how Love really got into the building. Love walked in behind a dog walker who swiped a key card card to unlock the door. But that was not inadvertently revealed until over two years later. I even went down to the Lofts In December 2016 after I read the arrest affidavit, to find the freight door with the "non-functioning latch." A security guard became very agitated when I saw the latch was functioning, and asked him if it was the one that was supposed to be broken.
Only in the earliest file “Athaides Notes.pdf” does it say "Enters through steel freight doors which were left open by a previous resident." I assume this is because lead detective Sprague does not know how to edit a pdf file. The documents that can be edited all contain such vague phrases as "which was inadvertently left ajar" or "a side service door previously left unsecure" or "through an unlocked metal service door" or "a set of steel freight doors which were left open because of a non-functioning latch."
Have you ever heard anyone be so vague before, as to say a door was previously left unsecure? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Who did this? How can you know it was left unsecure, unless you know that someone left it unsecure? There is certainly no evidence the door was ever “ajar,” or that anything inadvertent or non-functioning happened as claimed. They spent a lot of energy deleting the times from the video clips and instead typing up notes of them. And they spent a lot of energy to avoid simply saying "Love walked in behind someone out walking his dogs."
Police said "it is believed" Love gained access to Mulrenin's apartment when Jackson brought Mulrenin to the garage to distract him at 5:24 AM. They imagined Jackson left Mulrenin's door unlocked so Love could enter. They never presented any evidence to support this belief. Millions of people gain access to strangers' homes every day by knocking. Mulrenin was home, so if Love had knocked, Mulrenin would have answered.
There has never been any evidence to show Love didn't knock. And Mulrenin's hastily stashed cocaine suggests he had an unexpected visitor. I cannot come up with any explanation of Mulrenin's cocaine being found how it was found, apart from someone knocking. The original clips provided by police with no timestamps, show Mulrenin entering the garage and going toward Jackson's car alone, as if Jackson is already there. Jackson can't leave the door unlocked if she goes to the garage ahead of Mulrenin.
The original video notes say Jackson and Mulrenin enter the garage together at 5:24 AM, and return at 5:27. Mulrenin's entry alone, and his exit with Jackson, were shown in a single video clip that was 2:53 long. Sprague's final report was changed to say "At 0527 hours, Mulrenin and Jackson enter the fifth floor garage together for a brief minute, then return to the building, entering the fifth floor door." When Jackson was arrested on December 19, she refused to tell Sprague what really happened. So Sprague was playing around with the evidence, in a shameless effort to tie Jackson to what Love did by faking whatever he could.
Neisha Cintron was the bisexual Dollhouse dancer whom Mandi immediately befriended, and smoked weed with on video at the bar after the club closed. Neisha made a long video interview on December 28, 2016, where she described Jackson's unusually close relationship with Mulrenin, for someone who supposedly just met him for the first time, for the purpose to rob him. Cintron loaned Mandi a green thong bottom when Mandi first started working. In the back of courtroom 5D on January 10, 2019, I overheard Stone tell Neisha to leave all that out, and only testify that she met Mandi at the end of the night.
During Neisha's long video interview, she reveals Sprague already told her his shot-while-fleeing narrative. That is how Sprague starts his interviews, apparently, by telling the witness his narrative. Then he starts recording.
Detective Sprague shows Neisha some video clips from the Lofts, to verify how she was able to identify Mandi Jackson on December 14. I looked really hard at these clips which you can see on Sprague's laptop, because I still wanted to know where Love was for supposedly 90 minutes, and what really happened when Jackson entered the garage. What you can see if you look closely at the clips on Sprague's laptop in Neisha's video, is someone enter the garage from the far side before Mulrenin enters, with what looks like dogs ahead of him.
I owned five dogs when I saw this. So I admit, I am better able to recognize what walking dogs look like in a blurry video than most people. When there is something vaguely moving, low to the ground below a parked car, ahead of a person and the person follows, and it happens in a residential area, that is a dog. After Mulrenin enters, you see someone return in the opposite direction, coming from the area of Mandi's car. You don't need to be a dog expert for this one, you can clearly see a frisky dog running out ahead of the person from left to right.
Neisha was staring at Sprague's video, showing a dog walker in the garage at the same time as Mandi and Mulrenin. She says something like "This is the wrong clip, I never saw this before." Sprague confirms it was the wrong clip, saying "I didn't show those to anybody yet." There was a dog walker, in the same part of the garage as Mandi and Mulrenin, when they entered "for a brief minute." Sprague decided not to show this dog-walker video to anybody, and shortened the video that contained it to "At 0527... for a brief minute." (You will find out later Sprague edited together two clips with time missing in the middle, to make it look like a single clip.)
I wanted to know what this dog walker knew, that was so important for Sprague to hide. The dog walker had to notice the girl in the skimpy dress with stripper shoes and three-foot-long blonde hair, standing in the parking garage at 5:27 AM. It looked like he even cut across the garage to the side where she was standing. I thought maybe he talked to Mandi and Mulrenin, and they told him they were in love. Or maybe he recognized Mandi as someone who had been visting Mulrenin for years. It did not occur to me what the dog walker might know, is what time he walked his dogs.
I made multiple public records requests to the State Attorney for the video Sprague accidentally showed Neisha, of the dog walker in the garage with Mandi and Mulrenin. I included screen grabs and descriptions of the video I was talking about. State Attorney employee Crystal Martin responded under the direction of her superiors, with the type of shameless lie that only a Central Florida government-employee dirtbag could tell with a straight face. She said the secret Lofts dog-walker video was unavailable to public records requests under 119.071(2)(d), because it contained state-secret surveillance techniques. LOL.
After the State Attorney stonewalled requests for the dog walker video, I called Michelle Ervin at the Lofts on December 4, 2018 to ask if she knew who it was. Ervin said she was subpoenaed every month for the video, but the police took it away. She was friendly until I mentioned the dog walker on the fifth floor the night Mulrenin died, and then got extremely evasive and defensive. She said “I want justice!” She told me to call the police. I called back later, and her co-worker said she called the police herself after we got off the phone. I guessed she was calling Sprague, to ask what to do.
10. VIDEO NOT DISCLOSED
I suspect it was Judge Recksiedler, after her assistant saw some of my emails, that finally got prosecutor Stone worried about the sketchy quality of the Lofts video. Stone talked to Sprague, Sprague talked to Athaide, and Athaide produced a new set of video clips right before Scott Love's trial. But Ervin also told them someone was asking about a dog walker. The new video clips included a dog walker. Only there must have been some confusion, because it was the wrong dog walker. It was the dog walker who let Love in the freight door. His existence had been kept secret for two years to this point, while Love's entry was blamed on "a non-functioning latch."
I guess Stone realized it was the wrong dog walker. Or even worse, it was the same dog walker at the wrong time. Either way, Stone must have seen its potential to totally fuck up the timeline, or add a new witness with a contradictory narrative. Stone decided not to share the new video with the defense. I was stunned to see this new video on the screen at Love's trial. But three years after Mandi went to The Lofts, I have still only been able to see this video for a few moments, on the screen at trial.
The best I can tell you is there were at least six differences, in the video that was used at Love's trial but never disclosed to the defense:
1) Athaide used some of his programs to add and display timestamps on the video clips
2) There were now 20 clips instead of 18
3) Mulrenin walking to the street and returning, when he first arrived home, was now two clips which had previously been edited together as one
4) Mulrenin entering the garage and then returning with Jackson was actually two clips, with time in between, that had previously been edited together as one to hide the dog walker
5) You could see the dog walker who let Love in the freight door
6) You could see Jackson enter the garage supposedly ahead of Mulrenin, and supposedly not wearing a jacket. Though this video was still cut short, presumably to hide Cintron's dog walker coming in right to left. The prosecutor said what the video contained, but it went by on the screen too fast before I could see anything.
Assistant State Attorney Lori Sacco must have been in on the scheme to mislead about the video. She led Athaide on the stand at trial, to mislead the court this was an original CD of video clips he put together at the Lofts. He will later claim at deposition, that he put together this CD only like a week before trial. The plastic CD with the new video on it, had not even been manufactured until two years after Athaide went to the Lofts and collected video.
Athaide: "This is a CD that I was able to put video clips taken from the video surveillance footage at the Lofts..."
Sacco: "Let's go back a little bit and explain to the jury how you put together that CD... When you got to the Lofts and you went to that - to the -- collect the security video... And you record this or put this together?"
Sacco: "And did that then become another person -- I guess I'll use a person of interest at the time?"
Sacco: "And as you began tracking now these three individuals, is that what helped you or led you to put together these clips of the surveillance footage?"
Athaide: "It did."
Sacco: "How many clips are contained on there?"
Athaide: "I was able to put together 20 separate clips."
Sacco: "How many clips are contained on the Lofts video CD that's in front of you?
Athaide: "Twenty clips."
Athaide misrepresents that he captured 20 clips when he went out to the Lofts, and that same CD he captured still has 20 clips on it at trial. I guarantee you the defense was never given any notes or reports that said Athaide captured 20 clips at the Lofts. Because they were staring at 18 clips, with no timestamps, for over two years.
These new clips would have been created using some secret repository of video, after Mandi's attorneys were told the original video had been lost. Suddenly the video had been found, and had full chain-of-custody logs at the ASPD, and new timestamps.
Alison Smolarek: "there's something called The Loft Video Powerpoint. That would have been at MBF2. That would've been created from the video on the lost hard drive from JA-1... JA would be Jackson Athaide."
You don't need Athaide to tell you the original video had timestamps.
Athaide: "While we were reviewing the video footage, there's a time stamp that's actually on the video itself."
Athaide: "That footage will not be manipulated. It can't actually be -- even be accessed through the Epiphan. All it does is create, essentially, like a screenshot, where you can take a video of what's coming from that computer or from that DVR. So then, with the Epiphan, I have the ability to press a record button, and essentially it just records whatever is being played on the computer or that DVR."
Matthews Bark: "And so the actual DVR system was never removed from the Lofts; is that correct?"
Athaide: "Not to my knowledge."
Athaide: "The clips were originally -- were originally taken a while ago. And then we wanted some clips that had -- had time stamps on them, so I made the same clips again."
Stewart Stone: "It's -- it's for -- for Scott Love's Trial."
Long story short, they will hide the video, add timestamps, and do whatever the fuck they want with it. In Seminole County, nobody sees anything strange about this, it is standard practice.
At trial, Stone and Sprague executed a plan to lie, when Stone stated that Sprague did not recognize the dog walker in the new video, and Sprague agreed that he did not.
Stone: "Now this man -- you don't recognize this man with the two --"
Sprague: "No, sir."
Stone: "-- dogs? Okay. And you have seen this clip before, correct?"
Remember the sequence in the original 18 clips, that took the unusual 42-minute gap to lay out, based on the file modification times.
4:51 - Mulrenin exits freight elevator and walks out to sidewalk
4:53 - Love walks in same freight entrance behind dog walker
4:54 - Jackson meets Mulrenin at sidewalk outside same freight entrance
So there was a dog walker who would have seen all of this, could have seen all of this. His dogs could have been crossing the street to the empty lot toward Denny's, when Jackson drove up and almost hit them. His dogs could have met Mulrenin and Love on the sidewalk. He could have seen Love get out of Jackson's car, to prove they were colluding. He could have seen Love waiting to sneak in the building. He could have seen Love staking him out the same time a previous day. He could have known Love, and arranged to let Love in the building.
The first thing Sprague would do when he saw that clip, is ask Michelle Ervin for the dog-walker's name, and write it down. And then Sprague would find the dog walker, and ask him if he saw Love get out of Jackson's car, ask him if he walks his dogs the same time every day, ask him if he knew he let Love in the building or saw what Love was doing inside. If you believe Sprague, he did none of that. This is the star witness who let Sprague's murderer into the building on video, and Sprague says he doesn't even recognize him.
Michelle Ervin saw the same video clip on the stand. While the video was playing, without being asked, she said "He moved out." The prosecution stopped the video and asked her what are we seeing here?
Ervin: "So that's one of my former residents walking his dogs..."
I immediately made the connection, the dog walker who supposedly let Love in at 4:53 is the same dog walker in the garage with Mandi and Mulrenin a few minutes later. They made great efforts to hide both of them. If Mandi and Mulrenin were already in the garage when the dog walker was returning, or even before he went out, then Love arrived after Jackson, not before.
I already knew that even the clips that weren't out of order, were seven minutes off compared to the gate swipe and cellphone records. I will provide the details of this later. So my first guess was police moved all the timestamps back seven minutes to place Mandi arriving after Scott, to look like they were colluding outside the building. Because Sprague realized Love could not have been texting Mandi once she was inside, because he didn't have a phone.
That's when Mandi's lawyer Carrie Rentz peeked into the courtroom and I said something like "OMG I see now how the video was edited." And she answered "Oh, I know. Can you BELIEVE they did that?" But she had not actually seen the new video yet. I had no idea they hid it from her. She actually had no idea what I was talking about.
I also immediately noticed Michelle Ervin made a point to say the dog walker had moved out, without anyone asking her. It seemed like she was being proactive, to discourage anyone going over to The Lofts to talk to him. So I got curious when she said that on the stand at Love's trial on January 16, 2019. But I didn't motivate to follow up on my hunch until February 11.
I got to the Lofts before 4AM February 11, 2019, to make sure I didn't miss any dog walkers, and to see what kind of traffic there is in general in the early morning. Two or three white cars drove into the garage over the next hour, which is more than I expected. I perked up to look for a dog walker intently around 4:53 AM, the time Love supposedly slipped in behind one.
Someone who looked like retired patrolman Uzzi was working as a Lofts security guard. Uzzi was very evasive in front of the jury in both trials, when it came to where he now worked. At 5AM someone walked out of the Lofts first floor garage, who looked from behind like Detective Sprague. He put something in the dog walker trash, disappeared down the street, and then an old compact sedan, I think a light color, came driving toward Whole Foods. It looked like maybe someone sleeping over with a Lofts resident on the first floor, and parking in the street. If it was Sprague sleeping with someone at The Lofts, that might explain why he felt so comfortable faking evidence in this case.
At 5:00 AM February 11, 2019, a female maintenance worker came out, and started picking up what looked like cigarette butts around the garage entrance, maybe wearing latex gloves. By 5:20 AM, I had not seen a single dog walker, and I was ready to leave.
Then at 5:21 AM on February 11, 2019 – like a cuckoo clock more than two years after the death of James Mulrenin – a man came out of the freight door walking two frisky dogs with black and white spots. These were the first dogs I saw since arriving. They were medium sized, and mobile like the dogs I saw in the video at trial. I only saw the dogs in the video at trial for a few seconds, but I remember one had a white spot, and they looked like maybe some kind of odd terrier breed. One of the two dogs this man was walking had a white spot on its chest. And it appeared to be an undersized pit bull terrier mutt.
Handwritten timestamps for the original 18 clips have Mulrenin entering the garage around 5:24 AM and leaving around 5:27. Although that was when they were edited into a single clip, and I don't know what the new video shows. The dog walker Sprague accidentally showed Cintron, appears to leave ahead of Jackson around 5:24, and return before Mulrenin leaves, around 5:26. My guess is that the first clip time is right, and the exit clip is actually more than three minutes later.
Since the timestamps are ahead by seven minutes relative to the gate swipes and AT&T as I will get to, that means Cintron's dog walker was headed outside from the fifth floor, past Jackson, around 5:17, and should walk off the freight elevator around 5:21. That is exactly when this dog walker came out. He didn't walk up the sidewalk to the lot where Mulrenin landed, but went straight across the street to the empty lot.
I accidentally recorded video which captures audio of a brief exchange with the 2019 dog walker. Like many defensive pit bull owners would probably say, he claimed his dogs were a “lab mix.” He also seemed to say “mira” to the dogs in Spanish. The dog walker also appeared to be wearing a dark blue latex glove on one hand to pick up dog poop, just like in the bloody-glove scam they used to give Love life in prison.
He was holding the leashes in his hand, and letting the dogs run free and poop right next to the street. Someone with dogs off a leash would definitely take notice of Jackson's car driving up. We watched a black car like a BMW wait at the freight entrance, and then pick someone up like Jackson had done with Mulrenin. The dog walker who let Love in, would have seen everything from that unlit lot right across the street from the freight entrance, and nobody would have seen him.
I was intent to check at Jackson's trial if it was the same dog walker on video. The dogs looked the same, they were the same size and moved the same way. They had black and white spots. There were two of them in the right place and the right time. They were maybe two different breeds, but I only saw one close up in person. It was weird, everything was right, but the dog walker himself was wrong. The dog walker I saw in person on February 11 looked like a thirtyish man, 5' 9", with dark hair pushed up in the front like he just took off a cap or a hair net. The man who let Love in on video looked fortyish, 5'11", with gray locks pasted to his forehead.
I only saw one for a few moments on video, I only saw the other for a few moments in the dark, and it was months apart. Suppose it was two different dog walkers, both with two frisky black and white dogs in the same spot around 5AM. Either one of them could have been the same dog walker Sprague was so intent to hide in the garage with Mandi and Mulrenin. So either one of them could show Love actually went in well after Mandi arrived, around 5:26.
There were only a few minutes total of video clips, to contain dogs both at the freight door and on the fifth floor. I ran some stats on the size of the building and the percentage of dog owners, and the percent of those who got up at 4:45, 5:00, 6:00, whatever. It made it much more likely that a dog owner appearing in both clips would be the same dog owner, than that two different people would just happen to be walking dogs in both those clips before 5:20 AM.
If none of the dogs are the same, then we are up to at least five different dogs being walked in the same corner of the building before 5:20 AM. That is a lot of dogs for a building that charged a non-refundable $300 fee per dog, plus $15 extra rent per dog. There was also a 65-pound total combined weight limit, which would put the dogs I saw at the upper end of dogs that lived there. Most people had lap dogs.
If it is all different dogs, then we are more likely looking at video from after 6:00 AM, both when Mandi and Mulrenin went into the garage, and when Love came in through the freight entrance. Go to The Lofts yourself, and see how often you see five different frisky athletic dogs, bigger than lap dogs, at the southwest corner before 6:00 AM.
11. VIDEO TIMELINE IMPOSSIBLE
If you believe Michelle Ervin, it is not even possible that Love entered and went to the fifth floor before Jackson and Mulrenin, as police claim in their video.
Michelle Ervin was the Lofts manager. She had been looking at those security cameras, and selling that north-facing lake view from the fifth floor, for 13 years, beginning before the building first opened. She claimed under oath to recognize every part of the building on video, by artwork alone. She put that artwork there. Michelle Ervin said Jackson and Mulrenin parked on the northeast corner and walked all the way around to Mulrenin's apartment, because parking is not reserved and the garage is full at night.
Athaide claimed to walk the building to see where the cameras are, before writing his report. Sprague and Athaide, in their reports and affidavits, said Jackson and Mulrenin parked and passed by the same southwest corner of the garage where Love entered. Sprague and Athaide either lied or got it completely wrong, when they said Love hid in the same elevator where Mulrenin passed by. Athaide claimed the hallway artwork which was not visible in the garage, proved Jackson's car was in the same corner when it is seen passing through the garage.
There are some video screen grabs from both locations, in the hand-typed timestamp files, that have timestamp and location labels at the top. The video with the freight elevator and hall artwork where Love waits is labeled elevator A. The video in the garage where Jackson parks, and she and Mulrenin pass by on their way into the building, is labeled elevator B, a different corner of the building.
In 13 years, how many people do you think Michelle Ervin has caught taking unregistered pets down those elevators? How many unapproved roommates? Do you think she doesn't know what corner of the building those people are coming from, what elevators those labels represent?
Maybe when Athaide changed the video times, he added the wrong fake video labels, and confused Michelle Ervin as to what video camera the clips came from. Maybe that is the reason someone spent great labor, to delete the timestamps and location labels, from the original 18 clips provided to the defense.
Michelle Ervin also said Jackson and Mulrenin parked on the fourth floor, not the fifth floor where Love waited. According to Van Cleave, when Mulrenin came home he parked on the second floor, before walking down the ramp to try to meet Jackson. Even though Mulrenin lives on the fifth floor. Parking is so hard to find at 4:30 AM when everyone else is home, that both the manager and a long-time resident think it makes sense to park on a different floor from the one you want to get to. To me it looks like Mulrenin's car is on the first floor. But what are we do to, just admit half of what every cop says is wrong? In any case, it is not the fifth floor where he lives.
If parking is that hard to find, what are the odds that Jackson and Mulrenin actually found parking on the same floor and corner as Mulrenin's apartment, as claimed by Sprague and Athaide? Even if there were a spot there, what are the chances they would drive up five floors and two corners, without seeing another spot first? Remember Mulrenin is an impatient man, who leaves work in a hurry according to Carico, pushes the elevator button eight times even after the door is already closing, and rushes around kicking trash. And both Mulrenin and Ervin think it makes sense to park on a lower floor if that is the first spot you find.
Let's suppose the chance of there being an open spot in any particular floor-corner is 1 in 4, making parking "hard to find." The chance of Jackson and Mulrenin finding a spot in Mulrenin's floor and corner is 1 in 4. They have to pass by at least 16 corners to get there. So they will pass by at least four other empty spots in hopes of that 1 in 4 chance. If the chance of an open spot in a particular corner is 1 in 2 which seems easier than Ervin thinks, they will pass up 8 empty spots in hopes of a 50/50 chance of parking right by Mulrenin's apartment. If parking were that easy, Mulrenin would pass by two empty spots, to park on the second floor when he got home.
Michelle Ervin has been looking at those cameras for 13 years. And her sworn testimony checks for consistency with the predictions of basic math. What she is saying makes sense, it adds up.
Surely Love is motivated by some event to get on the elevator and wait. He claimed in his testimony that he was waiting for instructions. To other people it appears he is being discreet. If he is hiding, then he is either hiding from someone who comes from the parking garage, or someone he has some knowledge of. Anyone coming from the hallway is likely to get on the elevator, so you cannot hide there. Someone coming from the garage could take the elevator to another floor, but Love does not know this. Because he does not know parking is hard to find. The only people Love has knowledge of are Jackson and Mulrenin. They are in the garage. So Love must be hiding from someone coming from the garage.
According to "Lofts Powerpoint.pptx" Jackson's car passes by door B at 4:57:19. So if the video timeline is accurate, Jackson either drove to door A and did a U turn before parking so that Love had a chance to see her from door A, or Love is hiding from someone else who drove into the parking garage at the same time. No headlights were seen driving by, when Jackson is at the curb. Either way, Love has no way of knowing from his hiding place at door A, that Jackson will ultimately park on the opposite side by door B.
It will take at least 41 seconds for Jackson to drive from B to A, fail to find a spot, do a U turn, and park. So at the time Love supposedly enters his hiding spot at 4:58:00, not even Jackson knows she will ultimately park far away from him, by door B.
Lofts.docx shows Mulrenin swiping into the hallway through door B at 4:59:30. Jackson walks less than five feet per second in heels. There are probably 9 units from door B to unit 515. Each is at least 20 feet wide. So Jackson and Mulrenin will arrive at unit 515 somewhere between 5:00:05 and 5:00:20. And they will come around the corner around 5:00:00. When Love comes out of the elevator at 05:00:43, there is no way he can know that they parked on the opposite side. Even if he sees them in the hallway near 515, he cannot know which way they came from. As long as they exit door B while Love is hiding and get to the corner before he sees them, he will assume they came through door A. Even if Love walked past 515 to the next corner for no reason, and saw them lingering in the far hall for no reason, his first guess would still be that they got there through door A.
Therefore Love has no reason to walk around to door B and enter the garage, as police claim in their video. If Love wants to look for Jackson's car, he will surely enter through door A where he hid because she was coming. In the police narrative and timeline, it is impossible for Love to have any knowledge that would lead him to door B, at the time he supposedly goes there. For reasons I won't mention, he also cannot go to door B when he comes up behind the dog walker, and accidentally spots the half-blind Mulrenin walking in front of Mandi in heels, coming the other way.
So at least two out of three, of Sprague and Athaide, the video, or Michelle Ervin, present impossible or contradictory information, and are unreliable or misleading as witnesses of what happened.
12. JACKET ORIGIN UNCERTAIN
The original 18 clips did not show Jackson going into the garage with Mulrenin. But when she came back with Mulrenin, she was wearing an oversized man's blazer. This was a single clip in the original 18, but it turned out to be two clips with time in between, which had been edited together (to hide the dog walker?), when the 18 clips became 20. So who knows if the clips are even in the correct order. I don't doubt Sprague wanted Mandi entering in an oversized jacket, so he could say she had a gun concealed or something.
During direct examination by his attorney Nielsen, Love said Jackson accidentally ran out wearing Mulrenin's jacket with the wallet and credit cards in the pocket. Remember this is different from Mulrenin's money clip that he flashes at the strip club. At some point during direct or cross by Stewart Stone, Lori Sacco was shuffling through her printouts, and said Jackson could not be wearing Mulrenin's jacket because she was not wearing the jacket when she entered the garage, and therefore had to put the on jacket while she was in the garage, presumably at her car. What Sacco said was simpler, like "No, she's not wearing the jacket when she goes into the garage."
I never actually saw Jackson entering the garage in the video at Love's trial. The first time they showed the new video, I had no idea it would be something I hadn't seen before. And when I realized it was different and I tried hard to pay attention, I still missed the exact moment Jackson enters. Stone and Athaide said something like "What did we just see? She just quickly walked across the front there." She was already gone when Mulrenin came on the screen.
So the only way I knew Jackson was not wearing the jacket when she went into the garage, is because I heard the prosecution say this, in response to Love testifying Jackson accidentally ran out wearing Mulrenin's jacket. I couldn't find it in Love's trial transcript. But it is well known these transcripts have errors and are incomplete. To my best memory, the prosecution said this around where the transcript has Love saying "it was a suit coat." The transcript kind of dead-ends. And there is also a pause, but not where I remember a pause.
It may be Lori Sacco was digging through her printouts while other people were doing the questions. And she said this from the prosecution desk as information to Stone for his questions. I was a good distance back in maybe the fourth row, and Sacco was closer to the jury. So if I heard it, definitely the jury heard that Jackson was not wearing the jacket when she went to her car, only when she came back. Like I said, I still have not seen this actual video on the screen. So me knowing it is proof someone said it out loud at Love's trial.
I meant to check again at Mandi's trial, but I was thinking about something else when it went across. I thought Mandi entered before Mulrenin in the new video, but was still cut short to hide the dog walker, and that is why I missed her. At Mandi's trial, Mandi walked across the bottom almost at the same time as Mulrenin. Is it possible they edited Mandi crossing at the bottom left, onto the clip of Mulrenin entering at the top right? Anything is possible, when they won't give me the video. But with all that, I forgot to check if Mandi had the jacket on when she entered the garage. Replaying what I saw at her trial in my mind, she did not have the jacket on.
But all this is based on the shaky assumption, that Jackson is going to her car when she enters the garage, and from her car when she exits. If Jackson's car is at door B, on a different corner of the building, as sworn by Michelle Ervin, it is not clear Jackson is coming from her car when she is seen walking from deep in the middle of the garage wearing an oversized jacket. She could be walking straight across the garage from Mulrenin's apartment. When Jackson first arrives, and finally leaves, she goes to her car along the wall, not through the middle of the garage like in the jacket clip.
They could be coming from Mulrenin's car on the second floor, where all his shopping bags still are, from his most recent credit-card purchases. There is no video of them going down to Mulrenin's car. But there is also not video of Love leaving, or of where Love is for 90 minutes.
13. TIMESTAMPS OFF 7 MINUTES
The files where police took notes of the video timestamps before deleting them, included a number of screen grabs of video clips with the original timestamps. The screen grabs included Mulrenin swiping at the garage gate twice, swiping into the elevator on the first floor, and using his phone as he gets onto the elevator at the fifth floor. The gate swipes were said to be logged in "a different system" from the video. There was also video of Mulrenin talking on the phone, with hand-typed notes of when the video started. The times of Mulrenin's phone calls were logged by AT&T which is infallible, owing to cell technology requiring precise timing from end to end. And when he called or texted Mandi, that was recorded by T-Mobile.
The original video provided by police with timestamps erased, and the accompanying timestamp notes, provide at least four different instances, from what appear to be four different cameras, where you can compare the video timestamps to gate swipes and phone records. In all those instances, the video timestamps are about seven minutes late. These are the timestamps based on which both Athaide claimed in his notes, and Sprague claimed in his arrest affidavit, that Mandi stayed in Mulrenin's apartment and ransacked it for 6 minutes after Mulrenin went over the balcony:
“Athaides Notes.pdf”: -06:42 Police and Fd arrive on scene with lights and sirens
“Athaides Notes.pdf”: -06:43:10 Female with jacket is seen leaving building from 5th floor parking garage door by herself at a high rate of speed
Sprague Arrest Affidavit: "At approximately 0637 hours a 9-1-1 call was received stating a male had fallen from the balcony. At approximately 0642 hours Seminole County Fire Department arrived on scene. At approximately 0643 hours Jackson is seen running from the building from the fifth floor parking garage"
Scott Love's lawyer asked Jackson Athaide about this at trial.
Nielsen: And the time stamps in those videos were about seven minutes off from the time stamps in the key fob access, correct?
Athaide: Yes, sir.
Nielsen: You didn't note any of that in your report though, correct?
Athaide: No, sir. I did not put that in my report.
Nielsen also asked Lofts manager Michelle Ervin.
Nielsen: And at some point, was it brought to your attention that the time date stamp on the video and the key fob access was off by approximately seven minutes?
Michelle Ervin: Yes. It's two separate programs, so we synced them up after this event.
Notice Ervin did not say "We set the clock correctly after this event." She was only concerned with making the times in the two evidence sets agree, not with making the times correct.
Based on the seven-minute timestamp error, Jackson ran into the parking garage by herself around 6:36, before the 911 call came in at 6:37. There is a 911 event report 20163490663 that says the location of the calling phone was detected at 6:35:00, the call was connected at 6:35:55, the event was created at 6:37:40, and dispatched to police at 6:38:07. But without hearing the 911 call, that may mean Mulrenin was simply threatening to jump at 6:35:55. and didn't actually jump until 6:37:40. The location of the phone may be detected every five minutes at 6:35 whether it dials 911 or not.
Michelle Ervin said Jackson parked and entered on the opposite corner of the building from Mulrenin's apartment, and had to go the whole way around. That would take more than a minute in heels. So Jackson would have left Mulrenin's apartment before or around the same time as he went over the balcony. When Athaide wrote in his notes that Jackson stayed in Mulrenin's apartment for six minutes after he went over, and then fled the sirens, it was a lie. And Athaide knew it was a lie when he wrote it.
David Harris of the Orlando Sentinel wrote an article available at the following link:
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-jimmy-mulrenin-death-details-20161228-story.html
Nobody at the strip club called Mulrenin "Jimmy" like in the link, and Jimmy wasn't in any police report, or in the story itself. Jimmy is what his family calls him in Michigan. Except they spell it "Jimmie" so Harris seems to have heard it out loud. Harris has a bio where, like Mulrenin, he likes to advertise being from Michigan. They are men of a similar age. And Harris worked the night desk at the Sentinel, like Mulrenin worked at night not too far away.
Harris stated in this article "A bullet casing and a knife also were found." No bullet casing was ever logged into evidence. It was strange that the casing was missing from the revolver, but was never located in the weeks of garbage and other evidence supposedly found in the defendants' car and house.
It is reasonable to speculate a man who comes from Michigan and calls Mulrenin "Jimmy" has a direct source. Especially if he has inside information on a bullet casing that vanished before it was logged into evidence. Or at least an insider's agenda to make stuff up. And I have additional information to support this.
In his article, Harris states "Jackson, 21, was seen running away from Mulrenin's apartment and into her car one minute after a 911 call came in saying he had fallen". The arrest affidavit which Harris' story first appears to be based on, lies that Jackson ran out 6 minutes after. What Harris said, is closer to the truth, that Jackson ran out one minute before the 911 call came in. If Harris did get his odd facts from an insider, this suggests the video timestamps were not originally 7 minutes off, and police changed them later, after Harris talked to them.
By the time of Mandi Jackson's trial, I had written multiple complaints to the FDLE and Florida Bar about Athaide tampering with the video and lying about it under oath. The prosecution had admitted to making new video, and not disclosing it to the defense. Athaide and Ervin admitted on the stand at trial, to checking the video system time and finding it was off by seven minutes. So you would think they would not want to start lying on the stand again right in front of the jury.
But at Jackson's trial, it was even worse. When jurors saw the clip of Jackson leaving with the fake timestamp of 6:43, they asked Jackson Athaide what time the 911 call came in. He said "6:30." I saw multiple jurors write his answer down in their notes. During direct examination and closing argument, the prosecution ignored the claimed 7-minute system error again, and portrayed Jackson as fleeing at 6:43 AM. Athaide also said he wasn't sure whether it was the video timestamps or the security swipe log that was off by seven minutes, and whether it was the whole video system or just one camera. But part of that is missing in the transcript.
I guarantee you after I complained 50 times and called Athaide a criminal, he knew exactly when that 911 call came in at 6:37. You either know or you don't. When a juror sees a video that says 6:43 and immediately asks you when the 911 call came in, it is perfectly clear that an incorrect answer will be misleading them. When Athaide told Jackson's jury 6:30, it was a designed lie. When his efforts to move the video back seven minutes were exposed at Love's trial, he shamelessly tried to move the 911 call forward seven minutes at Jackson's trial for the same misleading narrative, that Jackson stayed and ransacked the apartment.
Stone used the lie in his closing argument, that Jackson was there during and after Mulrenin went over. And they said Jackson drove away at a high rate of speed when sirens came. All three are false.
Obviously it was not the time on one camera that was off. Nobody with a security system has to set the time on all 60 cameras. Athaide is a video surveillance expert, which makes him a liar when he suggested just one camera might have been off. They already said at Love's trial they checked the video system time and found that it that was off. And of course it was not really a matter of discovering the video time was out of sync with the swipe log, and then syncing the two systems, as described by Ervin. The only thing they could have "discovered" when Mulrenin died, is that one system or the or the other was out of sync with the correct time on their own cellphones. And the system which had the wrong time would have been set to the correct time, not "synced" with the other system.
The system which they already claimed to check and discover was wrong by seven minutes, and which Mulrenin's AT&T phone records, and Jackson's T-Mobile text records, confirmed was wrong by seven minutes, was the video.
But rather than give up lying, the lies got even crazier and sillier at Jackson's trial. Now they had Jackson ransacking Mulrenin's apartment for 13 minutes after Mulrenin went over, from 6:30 when Athaide lied the 911 call came in, to 6:43 when they said in direct examination and closing Jackson fled. What the video really showed is Jackson ran out at the same time as, or even before, Mulrenin went over the balcony, and long before any sirens came. Lying is a civic virtue in Seminole County. And also overeating, just based on Jackson Athaide.
14. REAL LOFTS TIMELINE - December 14, 2016
After more than 4,000 hours of analysis, I have my own theory of the correct video order. Jackson dropped Love off at Denny's (though it's possible he came on his own). She then met Mulrenin at the curb, got invited in as might have been expected but was maybe avoidable, and went upstairs.
Love walked across the empty lot to The Lofts to wait in Jackson's car. He expected to find it parked in the first floor garage, as it had been one of the three previous nights when Jackson made short and long visits. Or maybe he hoped to see if Jackson was meeting with the infamous stalker David whom Mandi's father warned about.
When Love couldn't find Jackson's car on the first floor, he walked in behind someone smoking, and propped open the door on every floor until he found Jackson's car on the fifth floor.
Love then went back outside and around to the open field. He saw lights on in a fifth-floor apartment, and Jackson smoking on the balcony, the third apartment from the end. Love then went back in behind the dog walker, and went upstairs and knocked.
Love did not sleep in Jackson's car or the lounge for an hour, to make up the missing hour before knocking. Jackson and Mulrenin going to the garage, and Love entering behind the dog walker at the same time, happened an hour later than police claim, around 6:17 AM. Love went straight up and knocked at this time.
When I staked out the Lofts, I saw a lot of cigarettes on the ground outside the freight entrance. People going in and out and walking their dogs around 6 AM, threw a lot of cigarettes on the ground. So I overlaid a video frame of Love coming in behind the dog walker, on frames from Mulrenin going out to the curb, and meeting Jackson at her car. I found there is a new dot on the ground when Love enters, compared to when Mulrenin meets Jackson.
I was not likely to get lucky and find a cigarette butt (or whatever it is) if Love only came in 15 minutes later. I give it an hour for someone else to pass by, and drop that cigarette butt.
Whatever happened in Mulrenin's apartment took only a few minutes based on the blood and witnesses and it not being ransacked, and any scenario you can come up with. Love coming in behind the dog walker an hour later, completely wipes out the problem of not knowing where Love is in the Lofts for an hour before knocking on Mulrenin's door. But it creates the problem, of not knowing where Love is for an hour before he comes in. Would he really be that patient if Jackson told him to wait outside that whole time? Or did he come later on his own?
This is the basic video timeline presented by police at Jackson's trial (I don't have a copy of the latest video):
4:50 - Mandi calls Mulrenin to meet her at sidewalk
4:51 - Mulrenin exits freight elevator and walks out to sidewalk
4:53 - Love walks in same freight entrance behind dog walker
4:54 - Jackson drives up and meets Mulrenin, parks perpendicular to garage entrance
4:58 - Love hides on elevator southwest corner
4:59 - Jackson and Mulrenin park and exit fifth-floor garage, southwest corner
5:04 - Love finds Jackson's car in fifth-floor garage
5:24 - Jackson and Mulrenin enter garage
5:27 - Jackson and Mulrenin exit garage
**** - Love does who knows what for an hour
6:30 - 911 call for Mulrenin going over balcony
6:42 - police arrive with sirens
6:48 - Jackson flees building
This was my theoretical video timeline, after only 3,000 hours of analysis, and before I found the cigarette butt at the freight entrance. Love enters twice, once to find the car, then again behind the dog walker. The nice thing about my timeline is Sprague really would not be that interested in what the dog walker saw. Because Love already went to every floor of the building before the dog walker even came on the scene. I still think Sprague would have written down his name and talked to him. The problem with this timeline is where is Love for an hour? And finding Jackson's car and going back out, is a little short of time.
**** - Mandi drops Scott off up the street at Denny's, according to standard boyfriend practice
4:43 - Mandi calls Mulrenin to meet her at sidewalk for supposed drug deal and to cash out dancer dollars
4:44 - Mulrenin exits freight elevator and walks out to sidewalk with drink to appear more inviting
4:47 - Jackson drives up and meets Mulrenin, parks perpendicular to garage entrance
4:52 - Jackson and Mulrenin park and exit fifth-floor garage, southwest corner
**** - Love goes to every floor and props open door, trying to find Jackson's car (too soon for this?)
5:04 - Love finds Jackson's car in fifth floor garage
**** - Love goes back outside to look for lights on the fifth floor and sees Jackson on balcony
5:17 - Jackson and Mulrenin enter garage
5:19 - Love walks in freight entrance behind dog walker
5:20 - Love hides on elevator southwest corner
5:20 - Jackson and Mulrenin exit fifth-floor garage, southwest corner
**** - Love does who knows what for an hour?
**** - Love knocks on Mulrenin's door
6:36 - Mandi runs alone to her car in the garage
6:37 - 911 call for Mulrenin committing suicide
6:42 - fire trucks arrive with sirens
Here is the video timeline Mandi's lawyers hinted at. Remember, Carrie Rentz somehow knew the video was edited, even though Mandi had no idea what Scott was doing while Mandi was in Mulrenin's apartment. Scott probably told Mandi he was waiting patiently for her somewhere, and didn't lose patience, come looking for her, and knock, until 6:30. So the best way for Carrie to know the video was edited, is if Mandi and Mulrenin went into the garage much later, around 6:17, not 5:17. This is something Mandi did, not Scott, and could tell Carrie the time was wrong. This also gives time for Mandi to get cold smoking weed with the open balcony door, and need the jacket.
**** - an hour passes before Love arrives on his own with paving hat and bag
**** - Love goes to every floor trying to find Jackson's car
5:57 - Love find Jackson's car in fifth floor garage
**** - Love goes back outside to look for lights on the fifth floor, sees Jackson on balcony
6:17 - Jackson and Mulrenin enter garage
6:19 - Love walks in freight entrance behind dog walker
6:20 - Love hides on elevator southwest corner
6:20 - Jackson and Mulrenin exit fifth-floor garage, southwest corner
6:30 - Love knocks on Mulrenin's door
6:36 - Mandi runs alone to her car in the garage
6:37 - 911 call for Mulrenin committing suicide
6:42 - fire truck arrives with sirens
That last timeline works best. Mandi's lawyers are former Seminole County prosecutors, with somewhat more morals than most, who are self-conscious lying in their old workplace. Carrie would know the video was edited, simply based on Mandi and Mulrenin going to the garage much later than police claimed.
Most telling of all, Sprague's original narrative had Scott gaining access to the apartment while Mandi and Mulrenin were in the garage. Obviously, Scott did not actually go in until around 6:30, because whatever happened in there only took a few minutes. Since Sprague saw the original video, he knows Scott did not go in until around 6:30. For Sprague to then suggest in his first narrative that Scott went in while Mandi and Mulrenin were in the garage, means the original video placed Mandi and Mulrenin in the garage around this time, 6:30.
Sprague also said in his arrest affidavit "Jackson was in contact with Mulrenin just prior to his falling from the balcony." According to the police version of the video, Mandi and Mulrenin were last seen together at 5:27 AM when they came back from the garage together. Sprague might call 70 minutes "just prior". Or his arrest affidavit might be based on the real video timestamps which he actually saw, and which showed Jackson and Mulrenin in the garage around 6:30, just prior to Mulrenin going over.
Sprague had video of Love arriving around 6 AM. Jackson and Mulrenin then go into the garage. Sprague writes in his arrest affidavit that he sees Love "clearly texting" while Jackson and Mulrenin are in the garage. Then Mulrenin goes over the balcony. So Sprague assumes Jackson coordinated with Love to come in.
Then Sprague finds out he was totally wrong: Love did not have a phone and Jackson received no texts. So he moved Love arriving the whole way forward to the same time Jackson arrived, so they could still be coordinating. And he moved Jackson and Mulrenin entering the garage forward, otherwise there would still be 60 unexplained minutes before Love goes into Mulrenin's apartment.
When Mandi was arrested, Mandi's mother immediately went to the police station. Police told Mandi's mother that Mandi was texting with Scott while she was in Mulrenin's apartment. I spent six months dying to find out what was in those texts, before I found out they didn't exist, it never happened. It is possible the entire murder was invented by Detective Sprague, to save embarrassment from telling everybody he saw Jackson and Love "clearly texting" when Love came in, only to find out no such thing happened.
I asked Mandi on the jail phone, if she was surprised when Carrie showed her the Lofts video. I was trying to figure out if she disagreed with the timestamps. Mandi sounded even more surprised than I expected her to be. Like she was surprised Love was even there at all. Mandi was also receptive to the idea that Dahl and Mulrenin set Love up to come over and get arrested. So maybe Love did come on his own.
Police screwed around with the video for three years to try to show Jackson in collusion with Love to commit a robbery. At the end of it, there did not even seem to be much point for Jackson's lawyers to object. Because the video still didn't show that. Who cares if police fake evidence, right?
--------------------------------
There was one more thing. I once mentioned in a paper mail to Mandi, my early theory that she left Scott up the street to wait at Denny's. I also mentioned this in an email at some point, to the state attorney. When I went to the FDLE in Orlando to complain about the fake video, I think right after Love's trial, the guy at the FDLE mentioned this idea. He said something like “What's this, she dropped Love off at Denny's up the street?” The FDLE guy made it sound like they were curious to check the Denny's video, and they probably tried.
For the Altamonte Springs PD or State Attorney to be curious enough to notice I said this, and even mention it to the FDLE who then asked me about it, indicates they knew Love came later. Wouldn't you be worried if there was video from Denny's, that proved the video you just showed at trial was fake?
15. OTHER VIDEO - 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
I got my public records of Mandi's discovery from state attorney employee Megan Ellis on June 28, 2017. I immediately noticed the pawn shop video was missing. She gave me a disc labeled "pawn shop video" with a folder labeled "pawn shop video". But the video in the folder showed someone stealing TV's from an office.
I emailed Megan Ellis on June 29, 2017 about the problem. My previous emails to her all got prompt responses, including three which she responded to in under 10 minutes, and two which she responded to in a few hours. I never got any response from her about the missing pawn shop video, or any email response from her ever again.
I called and left a voicemail I believe soon thereafter, and another one within six months to a year, where I asked for the pawn shop video again, and asked for a refund of what I incorrectly recalled to be $10 or $12 I paid for the CD. The $10 or $12 came from what Megan originally mentioned about the price for all the CD's.
I also mentioned still wanting the pawn shop video during one or two live phone calls, to Megan Ellis and Crystal Martin. So there is no doubt they were aware the pawn shop video was missing, or that they failed to provide it.
When there was no pawn shop video at Love's trial, and no motion in limine to block it, this confirmed my suspicions their failure to provide the pawn shop video was conscious and intentional. I emailed prosecutor Stone on April 15, 2019 to complain that the pawn shop video had been intentionally omitted from discovery. I copied Judge Recksiedler's assistant Vanessa Lau on the email, and she may have entered a copy of it into the public docket.
During Mandi's trial, her lawyers tried to ask Detective Sprague about the pawn shop video, and the prosecution objected because it wasn't in evidence. Mandi's lawyer Bark said the defense never received the pawn shop video.
Stone made one of his typical deluded false accusations by shouting "You are very quick to say that!" Stone accused his peer Bark of being sloppy and losing discovery, and then lying about it in court in front of the judge!
Prosecutor Lori Sacco then gave Judge Recksiedler some misleading story about how they found out the only pawn shop video they had did not show what they claimed it showed. It did not show Jackson and Love pawning anything. And they tried to get the video that had Love and Jackson pawning something, but failed.
But Sacco made the dishonest representation they provided this video to the defense, when I tried for 2 years to get that video and never got a response. Lori Sacco knows they never provided anything, and tried to hide from the defense that they didn't have the video, and she lied about it in court. The state attorney's discovery process has more false accusations and less honesty than the taxpayer or any honest person would expect. They are barrow boys selling garbage.
The defense was also never provided with most of the video from Dollhouse, and only got a little of it after two and a half years. I never got any of it.
Sprague's police report contains the following passage:
SPRAGUE: James Mulrenin was working at his job at the Doll House on the night of December 13th 2016 according to numerous co-workers and video surveillance. Mandi Jackson entered the Doll House on the same night, filled out an application and waited for several hours to speak with Mulrenin.
This was not in any of the witness statements. Witnesses vaguely said Mandi sat at the bar a long time, and also waited for Mulrenin. But in none of the witness statements do you get a clear or confident indication that the timeframe was actually hours that Mandi was sitting at the bar specifically waiting for Mulrenin. It is ordinary to sit at a bar a long time, and it could have been after she waited for him. It is only clear by watching the Dollhouse video, where you see she was waiting alone at the bar for a really long time with nobody paying attention to her. You have to see the Dollhouse video to understand she was specifically waiting for "several hours" and not just hanging out at a bar.
And certainly in none of the witness statements is it made clear that Mandi filled out her application before waiting for and meeting James Mulrenin. Sprague said they could not find her application, but also said multiple witnesses were somehow sure she filled one out. But it is never certain from witnesses when she filled it out, whether it was after she was done waiting, right before she started working, whether she turned it in or threw it away or brought it back to her car before she started waiting, or what. But it is clear in the Dollhouse video that she filled out the application and waited with it, exactly as stated by Sprague. Sprague also seems reluctant to name Barbara Mellinger as the source for this information.
At the very least, Sprague said the video surveillance showed Mulrenin was at Dollhouse. This proves Sprague looked at the Dollhouse video before he wrote his police report in January 2017. But the defense was not provided any video from Dollhouse until March of 2019. According to depositions and statements which occurred in court and off the record, the Dollhouse DVR was simply brought to the FDLE and nobody looked at it or made any requests for clips from it or did anything with it until March of 2019.
Sprague was more specific in his deposition, saying they “couldn't review ” the Dollhouse video because they “could not access it”. And yet right there in his police report a month after it happened, Sprague says he knows Mulrenin was at Dollhouse not just from co-workers, but from the video. Sprague denied he even saw the video, and big surprise most of it was deleted. And the rest was not given to the defense until two and a half years later. And big surprise, even that little video shows what Neisha Cintron was later coached to lie about and hide, that Mandi and Mulrenin were close. But Mandi getting paid in dancer dollars and being there on previous nights, was missing.
Finally in February of 2019, Barbara Mellinger admitted that Mandi had also been at Dollhouse the previous night, but Mellinger concealed this at Scott Love's trial and concealed the names of witnesses who knew it. When Mandi's lawyers finally received the Dollhouse video in March 2019, the primary camera angles, and most of the video from the night Mulrenin died, and previous nights when Mandi was there, were missing.
Video went missing that would have showed Mandi receiving tips from customers, which were largely in dancer dollars that night according to Barbara Mellinger. So maybe the real reason for Mandi's trip to Mulrenin's house, that he lured her with a promise to cash in her dancer dollars, was known by other Dollhouse employees and concealed. Maybe the same secret witness who said Mulrenin had $2500 in dancer dollars and left with $2500 in cash, also said Mandi had $X in dancer dollars, and went to Mulrenin's house because he promised her $X in cash for her dancer dollars.
It is a strange case where this real video evidence is treated like undesirable garbage, and replaced with gossip from girls in jail as the central feature of the trial. It is not an accident, it is a conscious and surprisingly broad effort, with no purpose except to use the life of a young girl for sport just like Mulrenin.
16. SHOT WHILE FLEEING - December 2016
Mulrenin's death was called in to 911 as a suicide. Two witnesses on the ground, Russell Songer and Denise Smith, said Mulrenin came out to the balcony alone. Mulrenin lingered at the railing long enough for Songer and Smith to say "don't jump, don't jump." Nobody heard a gunshot. That is in the initial police report from Lieutenant Van Cleave. Patrolman Uzzi in his deposition, recalls a clear and confident memory of Denise Smith saying she shouted at Mulrenin multiple times: "Don't do it! Don't do it!"
Because nobody heard a gunshot, Mulrenin's clothes were never collected. Nobody checked them for gunshot residue or a hole. Nobody looked for his money clip that supposedly contained the motive for robbery (before they changed the motive to some cash in his closet Mandi could not have known about). Everything Mulrenin wore or had on him went missing except Mulrenin's belt. He spent two days in organ donation, before anyone even examined him, because nobody suspected he had been shot.
The defense in the first trial, Scott Love's trial, said why didn't you examine him to see if there were signs of duct tape, or a struggle? The prosecution did not want to admit he spent two days in organ donation, because nobody heard a gunshot. So at the second trial, Mandi's trial, they represented that Mulrenin had been alive in a coma for two days. Prosecutor Stone's said in his closing arguments "he was on a respirator and died a day or two later" and "medically, technically, he was sustained for two more days."
Judge Recksiedler actually used as an argument in defense of her jury instructions, the false fact that Mulrenin died two days later. Mandi's lawyer Bark was talking about the "felony murder" jury instruction and using events after Mulrenin's death, to classify it as a robbery. Recksiedler said "How does it conflict? He died two days later." Mulrenin died the same day he went over, December 14, 2016.
Mulrenin spent two days in organ donation before being examined forensically, because none of the witnesses who heard voices inside the apartment, and on the ground from five floors up, or heard the vibrating railing when Mulrenin went over the balcony, reported hearing a gunshot. Lora Zedick, the Lead Medicolegal Investigator from Altamonte Springs, wrote on December 16, 2016 "clothing not located; thrown out by hospital who was unaware this was a possible homicide."
Mulrenin could have easily fallen off the balcony. He was still over twice the legal driving limit for alcohol, long after falling. Two years earlier, he had been diagnosed with the spins, an inner ear disorder technically known as "nystagmus" when he got a DUI at a traffic stop. He had cocaine in his system the night he died, and caffeine on top of alcohol, a combination which got Four Loko in serious trouble.
Mulrenin had Clorox wipes and Germx hand sanitizer in his kitchen, He had lysol and Germx hand sanitizer in his bathroom. For a person who lives alone in a fifth floor apartment in a semi-rural area, that seems to indicate a problem with bacterial infection.
Mulrenin had antibiotics for an eye infection, which could easily have spread to an inner-ear infection from the use of cocaine, and the reversal of negative pressure from snorting. He punched the elevator button eight times like he was blind, he rubbed his eyes, he veered and stumbled at the curb, almost running into a wall.
Mulrenin's compulsive use of hand sanitizer, blackout curtains, age, recent medical bills referred to in his personal notes, and abuse of viagra mailed in bulk from India, all suggest a man who could have been suffering inner ear damage, as a result of infection and surrounding medical conditions, technically known as labyrinthitis.
Given Mulrenin was drunk out of his mind and coked up, he could have had the spins, he could have lost his fear of heights like so many drunks do because their perception of level is spinning. He might have simply had no idea where he was, like Kenneka Jenkins who walked into that hotel freezer and died in Chicago. Her family blamed everyone also.
By the time video shows Kenneka Jenkins walking across the hotel kitchen, she is not even veering any more. She did not perceive she was spinning any more, and her eyes were not jerking, but she still got lost in a freezer somehow. Maybe she felt she was spinning front to back, and she tried to find the door on the floor.
A medical reason is definitely a strong possibility to explain why Mulrenin went over. There is no rational reason to jump from the fifth floor under any circumstances. Robbers want money, not murder. No reason except maybe a jealous boyfriend who wants to harm, not coerce.
There's a more basic reason Mulrenin could have had labyrinthitis. That is what happens when little girls come over to your house and do cocaine and fuck you and give you what you want, as long as you want all night, four nights just that week. Mulrenin overate sin at his own buffet. I know from experience and so does Scott Love: Guys with jobs cannot keep up with little girls. Only drug dealers, pro athletes in the off-season, people on food stamps, and students can. Because they also have no place to be.
And that is why Mulrenin had testosterone and needles to inject himself. And that is why he wrote "BOTOX" on his daytime to-do list on the back of an envelope in his car. Mandi probably said to Mulrenin the same thing she said to me "The reason you have so many wrinkles is because you're always angry." Which he was.
So Mulrenin very well could have fallen, after a week of hedonistically killing himself with cocaine and viagra. But Sprague needed a murder, not an accident. And he needed Mandi to be a co-conspirator, not a victim. So sometime after the medical examiner said Mulrenin's "deep laceration" was a bullet wound several days after his death, Sprague invented his shot-while-fleeing robbery narrative. And he told it to all the witnesses, the co-workers, and the family members of the deceased.
Russell Songer said he and Denise Smith did not initially provide a statement supposedly because Songer didn't have his glasses. On December 16th or 17th, the autopsy found a bullet wound. By the time Songer and Smith made a statement on December 21, 2016, Russell Songer's story now included a "pop", and Mulrenin shouting "oh no" as he came out the door. None of this was in the initial 911 suicide calls. None of this was in the report from Lieutenant Van Cleave who first responded, and interviewed the witnesses who told Mulrenin "Don't jump, don't jump."
In Neisha Cintron's video interview on December 28th, 2016, you can hear Sprague told her his new "shot while fleeing" narrative. Neisha wasn't there, but she talks in her witness interview about how Mulrenin was fleeing and trying to climb down. That's a great witness, who knows what happened in another county. I am sure Sprague also told his new theory to Songer and Smith when he called them on the phone, before they made their new statements
On December 27. 2016, Sprague edited the police reports from the first police on scene, Uzzi, Cleave, and Cremeans. It is not obvious how a person who was not present at the scene, could improve the report of someone who was present at the scene. Sprague also edited "then a hear gunshot" into his police report when nobody initially reported hearing a gunshot. It was probably originally "then a man walks out onto the balcony".
Sprague then hid the written statements of the three Lofts witnesses who did not fit his "shot while fleeing" narrative, Jerome Ashcroft, James Buddendorf, and Denise Smith. Ashcroft even heard the metal railing sound, and neighbor Jorge Forero heard someone say the name "Denise" from five floors up, but nobody heard a gunshot. The defense only learned these other witness written statements existed during depositions. Sprague and the prosecution hid these statements until the defense found out about them and demanded them. The defense got the written statements from those who witnessed Mulrenin's death, a year and a half later on June 20, 2018.
The defense never got the 911 calls.
At Love's trial, under the direction of State Attorney Lori Sacco, Denise Smith's story now included a gunshot 5 minutes before Mulrenin came out. She said the gunshot so frightened her from her experience in the Navy, that she ducked for cover. In the transcript it says "there was a pop -- a loud pop. Paused for a minute, looked around, and then we kept walking... more of a gunfire pop." When she said "Paused for a minute" she made like a ducking motion on the witness stand, to demonstrate how she was frightened by the gunshot that she recognized from using weapons in the Navy.
At Jackson's trial, Denise Smith's gunshot was now immediately before Mulrenin came running out. Denise Smith never mentioned a gunshot or anything like that the night it happened. You would think if someone with experience using weapons in the Navy ducked a gunshot in a dark park in a residential area at 6:22 AM, she might have mentioned it 30 minutes later when a policeman asked her what she saw.
Denise Smith's story the night Mulrenin died was no gunshot, and telling Mulrenin "don't jump, don't jump." Officer Uzzi, who shared what she said, was probably the most clear-thinking and clear-remembering witness in this case. By the time of Mandi's trial, Denise Smith said there was a gunshot, immediately combined with Mulrenin running and out jumping over the railing.
Remember, it was initially called in to 911 as a suicide. That is why the 911 calls that started the whole case, from witnesses at the moment of the supposed murder, are not in evidence. Nobody mentioned a gunshot or a pop or anything like that to patrolman Uzzi or Lieutenant Van Cleave, when he first arrived on the scene. Police were still saying suicide on video the day Mandi got arrested, December 19, 2016, in Scott's video interview.
Dollhouse witness Gary Carico said Sprague told him "what had happened," when Sprague went to Dollhouse with Lieutenant Murphy on December 14th. Carico's response to what Sprague told him was "there's no way he jumped off there by himself."
We got that first hint of the new shot-while-fleeing narrative that Sprague started telling witnesses, in his new wave of interviews on December 28th. They call them witnesses. But somehow in her video interview, Neisha Cintron knew Mulrenin was trying to climb down to the next balcony, even though she was asleep in another county when it happened. Somehow Neisha forgot on the stand under oath, that Mandi was wearing Neisha's pants that night. Witnesses are very good at reciting the gossip, but not so good at telling you what they know really happened. Eventually, even the incapacitated-with-GHB theory, born at Dollhouse on December 14th, would come from the mouth of a so-called witness, who was nowhere near the scene when it happened.
There may be witnesses who say otherwise. But if they don't agree with Sprague's narrative he will hide their statements and you might never know they exist.
Mulrenin's sofa was a major problem for the shot-while-fleeing theory. It showed Mulrenin sat in the recliner bleeding, at the opposite end of the sofa from the balcony. Smolarek claimed to find a bullet hole in the sofa which I will get to later. The supposed bullet hole was in the middle of the sofa. So not only would Mulrenin have been shot on the sofa or toward the sofa, meaning not as he was running out the door, but he would have then moved away from the balcony to sit where he bled from the bullet wound.
So the sofa was a big problem for Sprague's determination to say Mulrenin's death was directly tied to being shot, not falling over by accident. And you may be surprised to learn that the sofa with the blood stains, with the supposed bullet hole from when Mulrenin was shot, with bodily fluids, DNA, and who knows what other valuable information, the sofa that could be used to recreate what happened in the apartment, was never logged into evidence.
The sofa was photographed with a red stitched moving blanket on it. The moving blanket was nowhere else in more than 330 photos of every part of Mulrenin's apartment. On their second day there, when police turned over the recliner and supposedly moved the love seat away from the wall, the sofa was photographed with a red stitched moving blanket on it. But it was never logged into evidence.
Police also supposedly made a 3D mapping of the apartment for the purpose of recreating the crime, which was never provided to the defense. You can presume they were initially curious to know how Mulrenin went over, and they made some effort to model the path of his fall. But no information they may have produced, such as measurements of the distance Mulrenin traveled away from the building, was ever provided to the defense.
Mulrenin did not fall or drop straight down, as if he was trying to climb down and lost his grip. He moved away from the building several feet, which is significant given it is hard to do by accident. People who try to jump off balconies into motel pools and miss, find out you drop a lot faster and don't travel as far as you would think. The distance Mulrenin moved away from the building, suggests he at least planted a foot or something outside the railing, and pushed or pivoted away from the balcony.
So before telling witnesses the theory Mulrenin was shot while fleeing, police could have asked witnesses to describe more clearly what happened. Was he head first? Was he upright? Police could have analyzed Mulrenin's broken bones before he was cremated, and tried to reconstruct his fall and how he landed, to figure out why he went over. Was it related to eye damage known to result from excessive use of viagra? He had heaps of viagra, loose, broken pills, pills in blister packets, pharmacy shipping boxes. They could have examined his eyes, his retina.
But police did not want to find out why Mulrenin really went over. They wanted to hide why Mulrenin really went over, so they could have witnesses change their statements and blame Mandi for why he went over. Police did not want to know the real reason Mulrenin went over, they just wanted to fake whatever they could to blame Mandi for it, regardless of what really happened.
Sprague made video of all the witnesses who came in and gave statements on December 28th. That included Gorewitz the valet parker who saw Mandi walk by a few times, and Carico the floor man who did not claim to interact with Mandi at all. Sprague made an urgent audio recording the morning of December 14th, of the statement of Jerome Ashcroft, the neighbor below who heard footsteps when Mulrenin died.
But when Russell Songer and Denise Smith who actually saw Mulrenin die came in to give their statements on December 21st, Sprague provides no video of what they said. And Sprague provides no audio of Denise Smith's 911 call. And even Denise Smith's written statement was hidden. Sprague knows something about how Mulrenin died, which he does not want Mulrenin's family to know.
At Mandi's trial in his closing argument, prosecutor Stone said "he was shot in the back of the leg, which allows you to reasonably infer, to conclude, that he was shot in the back of the leg as he was running toward the balcony." The jury heard the word "GHB" many times, but never heard that the angle of the wound, and the supposed bullet hole, make what Stone said impossible. Mulrenin bled extensively on the carpet and area rug under the recliner. The jury heard the word "GHB" many times, but never heard that the location where Mulrenin sat and bled was further from the balcony than the supposed bullet hole. They heard a lot of gossip, but they never saw a floor plan of the apartment.
You can read all the police reports, the witness statements, and the testimony at trial, you can try to find the 911 calls, you can listen to Mandi's phone call with her mother where she bursts into tears about Mulrenin jumping, and you will only become confused as to why or how Mulrenin went over the balcony. Because the goal of police was not to find out how or why. The goal of police was to hide how or why. So they could blame Mandi and give her life in prison.
Was there a medical reason, a drug reason? They didn't want to know. They never tested the drinks and drugs they found in his apartment. They confused and obfuscated why Mulrenin went over the balcony, so they could come up with their own story to blame Mandi.
They hid the witness statements, they hid the information that could save a young girl's life. Why was the life of the guy whose dick she sucked more important than her life? Because only one of their lives gave the police opportunity for sport.
Police hid the truth so the prosecution could make up a story and say Mandi did it, and take a young girl's life away for sport.
17. SMOLAREK BULLET HOLE - December 2016
Something strange happened around January 11, 2017 right before the grand jury. The "burglary of a dwelling with a firearm" charge, number 4 in Mandi Jackson's charge list, was purged from the list controlled by police at the Seminole County Jail. It was replaced with new charge number 5 "burglary of a dwelling with an assault or battery" and new charge number 6 "robbery no firearm or weapon."
Prosecutors don't delete charges at the jail, they simply label charges not filed with the clerk. So this suggests the police for some reason wanted to get rid of any mention of a firearm in the charges before it went to the grand jury. Why would they want to do this if they have a bullet hole and a gun? My only guess is they they tampered with the bullet evidence to where they thought it was a lost cause, and threw away the sofa.
The day they came back and supposedly happened to find the bullet, the photo series did not begin with a date card like the previous day. The date card from the previous day shows two different people's handwriting. I concluded it to be Detective Sprague and CST Smolarek. The person who wrote "BH1" on the first photo of the alleged bullet hole, appears to have been Sprague rather than Smolarek. So it seems Sprague, not Smolarek as claimed, discovered this supposed bullet hole. On the second day, the hole was now pressed in. The previous day it was an L-shaped tear with fuzz sticking out.
Smolarek claimed in deposition and at Scott Love's trial, that she recovered a bullet under the sofa, when she and detectives lifted the loveseat up on December 15th, 2016.
Smolarek claimed at trial that the L-shaped tear on the loveseat was a hole straight through the middle of the seat. But the bullet has clear marks on it which show the bullet collided with a series of four or five identical hard objects (or the same object four or five times), and collided with and possibly ricocheted off of another one or two. The bullet presented could not have been shot through the hole, and recovered where Smolarek claimed to recover it. Because there was probably no hard object, but at most one hard object, between the supposed entry and exit holes that go straight through the middle of the seat. Assuming they are even in the same section of the sofa.
Smolarek did not say why they came back on that day, and lifted up the loveseat section of sofa first. Each section of the sofa is separate. According to her photos and testimony, they lifted up the loveseat section with a bullet under it, before they had any idea there was a bullet under it. And they lifted the irrelevant loveseat up before they raised the more interesting recliner section with the blood.
Smolarek didn't say why they then put the loveseat back down and pushed it back against the wall, and placed the bullet in front of it, instead of photographing the bullet where it was found when the loveseat was lifted. She didn't say why it was so important to photograph the nick in the sofa which she believed was irrelevant, instead of just photograph the bullet immediately where it was found. She said the nick didn't "register" as a bullet hole, until she found the bullet. If you don't believe there is a bullet hole at the time you find the bullet, why put the sofa back down, and then stage the bullet in front of the hole, before taking a photograph?
After I complained to the FDLE, Smolarek changed her story. At Scott's trial it was "We had no idea that L-shaped tear was a bullet hole until we found a bullet under it." At Mandi's trial it was "We saw that L-shaped tear, and thought hey that's a bullet hole, let's look to see if there is a bullet under it." This supposedly on December 15, when according to officers Uzzi and Van Cleave, medicolegal investigator Lora Zedick, and Smolarek herself in prior sworn testimony, nobody suspected there had been a gunshot.
Smolarek claimed at trial, on the stand, under oath, that she personally found the bullet under the loveseat. But according to the evidence log and the times on her photos, she took four photos of the front door, and waited 23 minutes, before photographing the bullet she found at 1205. Impossible.
If she believed there was a bullet hole in the sofa at the time she found the bullet, she would have photographed the exit hole under the sofa before pushing the sofa back against the wall. She would not push the sofa back against the wall, spend a while taking photos of other areas, then come back and photograph the exit hole. But the supposed exit hole photo was many photos and some time later, after they photographed other parts of the sofa.
The exit hole was the smallest file size in the photo series. It may have been intentionally dimmed to hide detail. I enhanced it, and saw it was actually the bottom of a recliner. And the supposed bullet exit hole appeared to be a slit created by a serrated knife, pushed in and pulled out from the bottom. Like the cheese knork on the recliner.
Why not document the bullet where you find it while the loveseat is lifted? The reason is the loveseat was never lifted, and the bullet was placed in front of it after seeing the hole. There is a TV remote control on the edge of the loveseat. It rests against the separate raised divider section, otherwise it would fall off. After they supposedly found the bullet, the TV controller was in the exact same position where it was photographed on December 14th photo 237. Two detectives and a tech cannot lift a loveseat, then put it back down and push it back against the wall, without disturbing that controller. That loveseat was never lifted.
But we already knew the marked bullet could not have come through that hole, to be found under that section. I went to a furniture store, stuck calipers under a similar sofa, and got thrown out of the store. I discovered the metal wire of the zig-zag spring that supports the seat, matched the width in millimeters of the series of identical marks in the bullet. So the bullet tumbled horizontally and tore through four or five turns of the zig-zag spring. It then hit another one or two things that made a slightly different dent in the metal jacket. Probably the back of the frame.
I confirmed there is no direction the shot could have arrived from, through the soft edge of Mulrenin's leg, and no combination of ricocheting and tumbling, that could have created that small exit hole directly under the entrance hole, and also those five or six hard marks on the bullet, and then come to rest gently on the carpet. The exit hole is too small for the bullet which would have been tumbling and exited at an angle. The bullet would have traveled away from the area of the entrance hole to get all those marks, and then exited somewhere else on the sofa, closer to the final hard object it collided with.
Since the loveseat is down and against the wall before the bullet is photographed, Smolarek claims they picked up the bullet and carried it around the room. They then put the loveseat back in place, before putting the bullet back down and photographing it. So we know the bullet was in detectives' hands, when they told Smolarek "Come over here and take photographs like you are approaching the sofa and find a bullet under it."
They made a great effort not to document the bullet before the hole, even though Smolarek she claimed at trial she did not yet suspect it was a bullet hole. What if that L-shaped tear hadn't been there? Would they have looked for another hole, or made one, before putting the bullet in front of it and taking a photograph?
Smolarek then staged a storyboard of 8 photographs in under a minute at 1:28 PM (DST). This minute supposedly included lifting the loveseat, finding the bullet, putting the loveseat back down, and holding the camera.
It is reminiscent of the gun-in-drawer storyboard, the cash-in-box storyboard which also comes out-of-sequence, and the gloves-in-car sequence where the gloves are staged next to a bag of trash. Where Sprague was standing wearing gloves, in a photograph by Lieutenant Murphy.
The TV controller tells us the loveseat section was never lifted, the markings tell us the bullet did not go through that hole, and the order of photographs shows us the bullet was known to exist before the center section was photographed with the bullet in front of it. So we know detectives had the bullet in their hands before the loveseat was ever lifted. So we know when Smolarek placed the bullet in front of the loveseat and took it into her glove, she was staging evidence, not photographing it when and where it was found.
By enhancing the photo of the exit hole, we also see it is in the bottom of a recliner. The metal parts match the levers and joints under the end section where the blood is. The exit hole was also photographed out of order with Smolarek's story, much later than the loveseat section and bullet. In fact, the supposed exit hole was photographed after the end recliner section was raised and photographed. I could not find a matching Haining Happy Leather or Homelegance theater sectional from 2014 where the loveseat was a recliner. So the photographed exit hole with recliner mechanics is probably not under the loveseat where Smolarek said she found it. And the two holes cannot go straight through, as Smolarek claimed, under oath.
Smolarek's claimed order of events is:
1) photograph L-shaped tear in loveseat with fuzz sticking out, December 14
2) return December 15 without knowing Mulrenin has been shot
3) lift uninteresting loveseat section with moving blanket to move it, without disturbing TV control at edge
4) discover bullet underneath, but don't photograph it or the area where it lay, instead pick up bullet for staging
5) collect bullet according to evidence log at 1205 PM
6) put loveseat back against wall without disturbing position of TV controller at edge
7) wait 23 minutes, take four photos of front door
8) photograph irrelevant loveseat section with L-shaped “small nick” that did not yet “register” at 1:28 PM
9) at the same time, stage bullet on floor in front of hole and photograph it, still 1:28 PM (DST)
10) "small nick" is now pressed inward without fuzz, and is described at trial as semicircular like a bullet
11) determine hole goes straight through, but don't document that
12) finally raise interesting recliner section where blood is, shifting item in cupholder, and photograph that
13) finally pull loveseat back out, and photograph linear "exit hole" with recliner mechanics
14) never log sofa with bullet hole, knork, duct tape, and blood of murder victim, into evidence
15) remove "burglary a with firearm" charge from jail charge list, add "robbery no firearm" around January 11
The label showed that sofa was made by Haining Happy Leather in 2014. I found many similar to it, and one almost exactly like it, and the love seats did not recline. But I did find similar sofas in later years, with reclining loveseats. Suppose Haining made one sofa like that where the loveseat was a recliner. Such loveseat recliners weigh over 200 pounds, and could not be pulled away from the wall to find a bullet without disturbing the TV controller.
One theory is that Mulrenin was actually shot standing, near the recliner end of the sofa. The bullet went straight through the wall and into the empty apartment next door. And it was recovered there several days later by a maintenance employee, or after the medical examiner found a gunshot wound. (The maintenance employee could be the dog walker, or could be known to Love from when he did maintenance there, but that is too much to get into.)
Sprague then brought the bullet into Mulrenin's apartment, pushed in the fuzz you can see in the L-shaped tear in the loveseat the previous day, wrote the "BH1" card, and had Smolarek stage the bullet photographs in front of the tear. Since there was no blood spatter on the tear, the tear could be consistent with a stray gunshot while Mulrenin was fleeing.
But the blood under the recliner was further from the balcony than the loveseat. And the marks on the bullet from traveling horizontally through the zig-zag spring were also a problem for the "shot while fleeing" narrative, because the bullet did not actually exit under the tear in the loveseat.
The bullet was supposedly found on December 15, 2016. A gunshot wound was documented at Mulrenin's autopsy on December 16, 2016. On December 19, 2016 at Love's police interview, around the time Love's house is being searched, Sprague mentions having found an "array of weapons, not necessarily things that were involved with the case." Sprague then recites charges at Love's interview that do not involve a firearm.
What police called a knife, was found on the recliner where Mulrenin bled. They swabbed the knife handle for DNA. But they never sent that swab to the lab. Because once the lab has that DNA report, the defense will say where did this come from? A knife found where? Why isn't there a picture of that? Where is that recliner?
Probably their first plan was to throw away the bloody recliner where Mulrenin sat after being shot, and say he was shot while fleeing past the loveseat. That is why the loveseat was the first place they photographed on the 15th, and there was a moving blanket next to it. But the autopsy on the 16th or the 17th showed an improbable bullet path through Mulrenin's leg, to make that hole in the loveseat. He would have to have been on the sofa facing the wall, not fleeing. And there would have been spatter on the hole. And of course no repeating dents in the bullet.
So at some intermediate point Sprague lost his mind, and just threw away the sofa, and then removed any mention of a firearm from the charge list before the grand jury. They replaced it with assault or battery, and robbery no firearm. Perhaps around this time, they hoped to go to a "thrown off the balcony" narrative or who even knows what. Because tying Mandi more directly to Mulrenin going over, was more important than the evidence or the truth.
There was also an article in the Orlando Sentinel, that said police claimed to have found the bullet casing:
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-jimmy-mulrenin-death-details-20161228-story.html
As I will show you, there are indications the author, David Harris, had close contact and inside information from people involved in the case. This suggests Sprague threw away the bullet casing also. And the casing is missing, from the suspiciously staged revolved they later claimed to recover.
18. VEHICLE WARRANT - December 19, 2016
According to Lieutenant Murphy of the ASPD, Mandi Jackson was arrested immediately after stepping out of her house. I believe there is a recorded phone call where Mandi tells her mother she stepped out of the house to have a cigarette, and got arrested. According to Jessica Reiche Jones, this is a normal pattern, where Mandi and Scott went out that time of morning to have a cigarette.
By the time Lieutenant Murphy took photograph 25 of Jackson's vehicle being towed that same day, there were three incriminating items in plain sight through the car windows, 1) fanned out credit cards with the name “James Mulrenin” visible on them, 2) nitrous oxide drug paraphernalia, and 3) a wide-open bag of marijuana.
If you believe the car was really found as it appears in the photograph, then obviously nobody was sitting in the passenger seat when police arrived. The passenger seat is covered with at least 10 items from ransacking the car, including the nitrous canister and a wallet. There is also an open bag of marijuana on the driver's seat, which suggests Jackson was not in the driver's seat when she got arrested. It is like a kid's sandwich bag, wide open like you just had your fist in it. If Jackson were sitting in the driver seat with an open bag of marijuana when police approached, she would have stuffed it under the seat or something. If this is how the vehicle was found, defendants were not in the vehicle when they were arrested.
It is not credible that the defendants would place every incriminating item in the car into plain sight before getting out, or leave their weed open in the middle of the seat like that without bringing it in the house. It is not normal for credit cards to be put down anywhere fanned out like a blackjack casino advertisement. I tried doing that, and it takes two hands.
It is also not possible to drive with credit cards sitting on the stick shift accordion like that, and not have them fall off. After the vehicle was towed on a flatbed, the gold card on top slid off onto the floor. So these cards were staged onto the stick shift accordion, after the car was parked. The top one slid out of position when the car was moved, without anyone even using the stick shift.
There is also a green camouflage burner wallet on the passenger seat (Love's real wallet is in the glove box). This wallet contained other cards from James Mulrenin. The last place that gold card on the stick shift was seen, was being placed into that green camouflage wallet on video at Walmart.
It is not credible that defendant Love decided to take those two cards out of that wallet while the car was parked, and while he was not sitting in the car, drop the wallet onto the seat, and place those cards fanned out in plain sight on the stick shift.
The abundant items on the passenger seat prove nobody was sitting in it. So someone would have to lean into the car for the purpose of removing the cards from the wallet and placing them onto the stick shift in plain sight.
The only credible explanation of this evidence is that lead detective Sprague ransacked the car, and placed those incriminating items into plain sight for the purpose of obtaining a warrant.
This theory was bolstered by the response I got from Jackson, when I suggested Love tried to incriminate her by placing cards from his wallet on her stick shift. I got no response, but only the disdain appropriate to a crazy person.
It should be noted Sprague wrote in his investigation report that FDLE Nuzzi and Orange County Deputy Sheriff Degraw told him Jackson and Love were apprehended inside the black BMW where it was parked in front of the house.
After the BMW was towed and one of the cards from the stick shift had fallen onto the floor, the following items were photographed still covering the sitting surface of the passenger seat:
- two pennies in the center of the seat
- a quarter in the back left of the seat
- a white disposable straw wrapper and some plastic trash and a penny in the back center
- a closed trifold wallet in the center near the back
- a phone charging cable curving around the middle and left of the seat
- at least four pieces of loose folded paper and an envelope from an unpaid toll covering the back left quarter
- a black baseball cap in the back right corner that is not flattened
- a metal cream-whipping canister in the center front
- an opened cardboard box that contained 24 nitrous-oxide cartridges dead center
- a partially folded blanket bunched up and fluffy rather than flattened, covering the front right quarter of the seat
It is not possible that Love was sitting in the car with all that stuff on the seat. So if FDLE Nuzzi confirms Love was in the passenger seat, that proves someone ransacked the car and placed those items into plain sight after Love was arrested.
If Nuzzi says Love was somewhere other than the passenger seat, like lying down in the back seat that was also full of junk, and with both front seats completely reclined when they were photographed, the FDLE is mentally-ill evil liars.
Don't waste your time checking the arrest report to see if they were arrested stepping out of the house or inside the car. Mandi's arrest report says she was arrested an hour later, five miles away on Lake Underhill Road. Scott's arrest report is careful to say neither the time nor place of his arrest.
Or you might want to look at those, just to see why police need higher salaries to attract some who aren't dishonest evil clowns.
19. SMOLAREK GLOVES - December 2016
Police found a bag of trash in Mandi's car. And they said inside the trash, they found some bloody surgical gloves. But in pictures, the gloves show up on a piece of brown butcher paper, before the trash bag is opened up.
Smolarek's evidence log shows the gloves were found at 11:45 AM. The first picture of gloves is taken at 11:51 AM. A Walmart bag can be seen unopened in the background at 11:52 AM. State's exhibit 162 from Mandi's trial, the Walmart bag with trash, is photographed torn open but with all the trash still packed in it at 12:09 PM. There is no way somebody digged through that already to find a little ball of gloves.
If you really found gloves in the bag Smolarek claimed at trial she found the gloves, wouldn't you empty it completely out to see if there were more gloves, or knives or bullets or who knows what? Smolarek claims they found gloves with suspected blood in that bag at 11:45 AM. But that was so uninteresting, that at 12:09 PM, they still haven't been curious enough to see what else might be in the bag.
Suppose you found gloves with suspected blood and duct tape in a trash bag, after finding blood and duct tape in an apartment. Could you possibly find gloves with suspected blood and duct tape in a trash bag in the suspect's car, without being curious to empty out the rest of the trash in the next 24 minutes? Does the truth matter?
More likely, what they actually found was the bag itself. They were looking for a place to say they found the gloves. They found a bag with trash in it, and that was the perfect place to say they found the gloves. So they left the trash in the bag, and photographed it 24 minutes later, because they needed a bag with trash in it. They did not have any interest what was in the trash, just the bag itself.
The gloves just appear all of a sudden, in two groups.
On the left are three loose open surgical gloves spread out. Two have the tip of the thumb torn off. Two, some fingertips are inside out. One of them has a large piece torn out. These gloves on the left are clearly not inside the small locked bundle on the right.
On the right is a tiny bundle of blue items, wrapped as a small square package with two small crisscrossed zip ties. The bundle is such a tight, neat little square package, with the zip ties crossing in the middle, it is fair to speculate whoever made it has experience doing the same thing more than once. Someone likes to make a project of tying small bundles. Why package something neatly to throw in the trash?
The three loose gloves on the left have a kind of dingy tint and stains like they have been used and stored. The gloves tied up in the ball on the right are a different color from the loose gloves on the left. Upon cutting the zip ties, the tight bundle on the right is shown to contain two blue shoe covers like you might wear in a clean room, and what looks like two darker blue gloves that have been used. Though later pictures seem to show several clean gloves stacked below them.
Sprague's police report has two separate entries in the list of items found in Mandi's car on page 8:
- Three plastic gloves with suspected blood
- Plastic booties, plastic gloves, zip ties, and duct tape
But on page 18 of Sprague's police report, Alison Smolarek is listed as having only collected one item:
ABS74 TWO BLUE PLASTIC BOOTIES, FIVE USED BLUE LATEX STYLE GLOVES, PIECE OF BLACK DUCT TAPE AND TWO ZIP TIES (all tied together)
The three loose gloves on the left in the photos, and the "Three plastic gloves with suspected blood" in the report, have either vanished, or have been combined into the single item. At Scott's trial, Smolarek said there were five total gloves. At Mandi's trial, she described eight gloves.
The initial DNA report from the FDLE included the following two items:
ABS100 Swabs of gloves from inside BMW
ABS101 Swabs of blue gloves from inside BMW
Sprague's police report lists:
ABS99 SWABS OF TRIGGER AND GRIP ON S&W .38 SPECIAL REVOLVER FOR TOUCH DNA collected 1417 hours
ABS100 SWABS OF SUSPECTED BLOOD STAINS ON GLOVES FROM INSIDE BMW collected 1425 hours
ABS101 SWABS OF BLUE GLOVES FROM INSIDE BMW FOR WEARER DNA collected 1417 hours
ABS102 SWABS OF SUSPECTED BLOOD STAIN ON RIGHT SHOE OF PAIR OF BROWN SURVIVORS BOOTS collected 1417 hours
Senior Crime-Scene Technician Alison Smolarek has a bachelors degree in forensic science, and a masters degree in criminal justice. Smolarek is certified through classes, and the International Association for Identification, with extensive study and practice in the reconstruction of crime scenes. Smolarek has been an evidence technician for 13 years with three institutions, and a crime-scene supervisor. Smolarek wears surgical-type gloves every day, and works with male detectives with large hands who also wear the gloves. Smolarek even put on a pair of two blue gloves to handle evidence, each time she took the stand at Scott Love's trial.
So what did Smolarek claim on the stand that she did with all the gloves collected? She claimed that she swabbed all five of them together with a single swab, for "wearer DNA." Even though she knows it is prohibitively unlikely for a single person to have worn all five gloves, or maybe eight gloves including two different colors from two distinct groups, during a single activity or time period.
So right off, Smolarek manufactured garbage evidence, cross contaminating all the gloves which could have been worn by different people at different times. But on top of that, she made the outrageous claim that she swabbed the inside of all the gloves with one swab, and the outside of only the gloves that had apparent blood stains with another swab, to determine wearer and victim. Clearly DNA on the "inside" swab could have come from a glove that was not even swabbed for blood stains.
Nothing like this ever came up in depositions. And nor did any lawyer think to ask, because it was clear from the documents that Smolarek swabbed the the suspected blood stains for DNA on the three loose gloves that had "suspected blood" stains. And she swabbed the group with the booties all over for "wearer DNA." If a glove has blood, you want to know whose blood it is. Otherwise you want to know who touched it.
Nowhere was it mentioned that "wearer DNA" was specifically what Smolarek thought was the inside of the glove. Nowhere was it mentioned that she presumed the suspected blood stains were always on what was the outside of the glove when it got stained. And certainly nowhere was it mentioned that she swabbed what she thought was the inside of all five (or eight) gloves with one swab for "wearer DNA" even when some of those gloves did not have apparent blood stains.
The supposed insides of gloves that did not have blood stains, were swabbed together with the insides of the gloves that did appear to have blood. So it was not even determining the wearer of the glove that supposedly had blood. It was just a crazy jumble of contact DNA from inside a trashbag in a car where James Mulrenin sat and drank and did who knows what with Mandi, that cannot therefore be used for anything. So Love's lawyer's mind was just blown, as was the jury's, and he was not at all prepared to defend Smolarek's disgraceful claim that this clueless process produced evidence of wearer and victim.
It was not even possible to know what was the inside or outside of even one glove. It was just a preconception that the ones with stains, the stains were on the outside. Smolarek knows from her experience, that people usually peel these gloves off inside out. But not always. And when they do, the fingertips usually remain partially inside out, but not always. Some of these gloves she swabbed clearly had some fingertips inside out. Smolarek didn't mention anything like that when she first made her "wearer DNA" claim.
It is usually less experienced people who pull the gloves straight off. And the gloves Smolarek swabbed were too scrunched up and mixed up, to claim you could tell inside from outside. She admitted on the stand she could not reliably tell what was the inside and outside. But Smolarek went right up on that stand at Love's trial, and told the flat-out lie that she determined what was the inside and outside, and swabbed the inside of all five gloves with one swab, and the outside with another.
And Smolarek said the fact that all the gloves were in contact made this process useful, not useless. There is no point using two swabs, since they have already been cross-contaminated. But somehow the insides and outside were not cross-contaminated? You can use two swabs for that?
In other words, Smolarek is saying all the gloves were taken off inside out, or none of them were. Since she could see the suspected stains, she is implying none of these gloves were taken off inside out. Impossible! They were all right-side-out and in contact, and that is why you can swab them all together with one swab. But if they are all right-side out, then NONE of the insides have been cross-contaminated after they were bundled. So you can use five swabs inside.
And then she went on to admit at Mandi's trial, that sometimes these gloves are taken off inside-out. And she still determined what was inside or outside. What is there to determine, if they are all in contact and must all be right-side-out to justify swabbing them all with one swab? She has already claimed they were all in contact, but none of the insides were in contact with any of the outsides.
Smolarek made the ridiculous assertion which she cannot possibly believe, that all five gloves were worn by the same person, during the same activity. So she could say Mulrenin's DNA was on the outside of the gloves, and Scott Love's "wearer DNA" was on the inside of the same glove that Mulrenin's DNA was on the outside of. Not of one or two, but of five (or eight) gloves.
And Smolarek did this not once on the stand, but multiple times. What she said the first time was so bizarre, the jury started asking the DNA expert about it. So they brought Smolarek back on the stand a second time, and she said "wearer DNA" again. At this point Smolarek tried to clear up the confusion, by saying all five gloves were in a single ball. And the jury still had a look on their face like what the fuck.
Alison Smolarek is way too smart and educated and experienced, to not realize that Mulrenin's DNA could have come from any side of any glove from one group, and Scott Love's DNA could have come from any side of any glove in a separate group. So how does such a smart, educated, experienced person make such a gross mistake? She didn't. She cross contaminated the gloves intentionally. They didn't have any evidence that Scott Love was ever inside Mulrenin's apartment, and they needed some.
It was a blatantly manufactured proof of wearer and victim.
You look at the top glove from the package, there is a substance on it. But the position of the fingers, and the pattern of the substance, is not typical from actual use. It seems contrived. The top glove from the package, with the substance, has no fingers inside out. You cannot pull that glove off Scott Love's hand with that result. The fingers have creases that look like it was never used. The substance is localized to the palm. That is hard to do in normal use. It is impossible to not spread it around more, if you pull the glove off inside out. It proves that glove was not pulled off inside out. If the substance is localized, and the glove was never worn, that substance was planted on it.
I don't think Smolarek even got Mulrenin's DNA from any of the gloves. I think she swabbed all five (eight) gloves and who knows what else from the car, to try to get some DNA of the defendants, and labeled that the "wearer DNA." And then she got Mulrenin's DNA from some blood from his apartment, and claimed it came from the outside of all five gloves. That is why the swabs of the revolver, the "wearer DNA" on the gloves, and the non-blood stain on the boot were all taken at 14:17. But the swab of the suspected blood on the gloves was not taken until 14:25. Smolarek took eight minutes to go find something with Mulrenin's blood.
It took police a year to get back DNA results on the gloves. While they were waiting for a year, do you think they might have been curious to see if those booties had some of Mulrenin's carpet fibers on them? Do you think with all Smolarek's classes and education, she could have put those booties under a magnifying glass and found a carpet fiber on them? They didn't bother. Because they knew the blood would match. Because they knew the blood on those gloves had been in the apartment, and the booties had not been in the apartment. Despite Scott Love supposedly being in a violent bloody struggle with Mulrenin for 79 minutes, so that the blood was still wet on the carpet when police arrived, the booties had no blood.
Why on Earth would Scott Love plan a perfect crime with gloves and booties, and then leave the bloody gloves in his car? He wouldn't. Scott Love said on the stand the booties were from his job in paving. He said he had a whole box of booties in his garage, which is the kind of thing a sociopath usually only throws out there if he can't be proved wrong because it's true. After they finish fresh tarmac and paint the lines or whatever, they put on the booties to keep from leaving dusty footprints before it dries, and the customer sees it.
I looked this up online. What I read is that people in paving put the booties on to keep the tar on their shoes from getting in their car and on their carpet, like when they go for lunch. But either way, it makes a lot more sense that somebody would store stuff he uses for work in a bundle in two zip ties to carry in his pocket and reuse, than that he would ball up bloody gloves from a murder in two zip ties, and keep them for another murder. Or keep them together with booties that there is no way he would use in a murder, given he was walking all over Mulrenin's apartment on camera dropping cigarette butts.
Remember, police went to Mandi's house looking for the grey sweatshirt with the big “don't tread on me” and snake on the back, that Love wore in the Lofts video. But when Smolarek got there, she didn't go right to their rented room. Smolarek spent a few minutes photographing other parts of the house, where other people lived.
By the time Smolarek got to Mandi's room, everything including the bed covers was thrown on the floor. Except the grey sweatshirt police came looking for was conveniently dead center in the very first photograph, right in the middle of the bed. Either a) police staged the sweatshirt to be the first thing visible through the door, or b) it was dead center first thing because it is Love's favorite sweatshirt, and it is always dead center everywhere he is.
If you planned to carefully conceal your presence at a robbery using gloves and booties, would you also wear your favorite most recognizable sweatshirt, the one you wear every day and are most proud to be seen in?
What about the three loose gloves not in the bundle, in the separate group that vanished or was lumped in with the others?
In Lofts unit 515 photo Day 1 179, there is a fingertip from a blue glove. It is right in the midde of Mulrenin's carpet where a murder took place. The fingertip is blue against a tan carpet. It is larger than other items recovered in the same area, such as the bullet and half white pill. It is similar in size to the closet key. It is nearly as big as the used syringe, and much easier to find. It is right next to one of the three cable ties in evidence. And yet that torn-off glove fingertip is not in evidence.
There were a dozen police in there for two days, all wearing blue gloves. How could they miss that blue glove fingertip right in the middle of the floor? They couldn't. A crime-scene tech like Alison Smolarek would home in on that glove tip like flies on death. She would swab it for DNA. She would wear it in a hope locket with dreams of one day finding the rest of the glove it was matched to.
The reason that fingertip was insignificant to them, is they already had all three gloves, including the glove it came from, which they found in the same spot. A fingertip by itself is interesting. A fingertip next to three gloves, is an afterthought.
Alison Smolarek has a strong pattern to take three focus photos of every item collected, including the cable ties on Murenin's carpet. Here is the number of focus photos from each item collected on day 1:
4 - serrated cheese knork on sofa
3 - eye glasses on floor
4 - looped cable tie #1 on floor
3 - open cable tie #2 by eye glasses
3 - duct tape at door
3 - duct tape at sofa
3 - white pill and bags
3 - $20 bill
0 - OPEN CABLE TIE #3 BY GLOVE FINGER
The focus photos of the third cable tie collected, likely would have also captured the three loose gloves where they were originally found under the carpet. Those photos could have been purged from the 9-minute gap between Day 1 photo 152 of the duct tape on the carpet, and Day 1 photo 153 of the medicine in Mulrenin's kitchen.
The motive for purging the gloves, and photos of them, from Mulrenin's apartment, is the same as the motive for staging the bullet and losing the sofa with the supposed bullet hole. The bloody gloves on the floor of the apartment, did not fit the shot-while-fleeing narrative. A man who is shot as he runs off a balcony, does not have time to bleed on gloves and leave them on the floor, before he goes over. The three hidden gloves then came in handy to place Love in the apartment, when they reappeared next to his work gloves to be cross-contaminated during the car search.
My bet is that Jackson or Mulrenin wore those three loose gloves when she was binding Mulrenin's wound. And Smolarek intentionally avoided finding out the real wearer, which might also have been Mulrenin himself. Probably the original swabs were thrown away. The key is that torn-off glove fingertip, next to the third cable tie.
If everyone who has any experience with surgical gloves takes them off inside out, then whoever tore off that fingertip pulling that glove off by the fingers, had no experience with surgical gloves. That rules out maintenance workers at the Lofts who also wear blue gloves, and police. Love obviously was not trying to go undetected, and he apparently has some experience using gloves because they were balled up with his tar booties.
That leaves Jackson and Mulrenin. Maybe Jackson wore them to cater to Mulrenin. He has all that sanitizer and antibiotics. And Jackson likes to tend to people. The more of a self-centered needy hedonist someone is, the more useful Jackson feels tending to him.
But Jackson has skinny hands, so if she pulled on a thumb, the glove might actually come off. Mulrenin has big hands, and he is strong enough to tear a finger off. And he is angry and sloppy and impatient, based on how he pressed the elevator button eight times, and kicked the can in the freight entrance. And the finger tip is on the way from the recliner to the balcony, where Mulrenin's glasses and everything else on him was also abandoned.
Smolarek said she "perceived" that blood would be on the outside of a glove. What she means is if an idiot begins by imagining a person wearing gloves murdered someone, then there would be blood on his hands like the idiot remembers from "Macbeth" in 10th-grade English class. In "Macbeth" the doors to Duncan's chamber were even unlocked, like Mandi supposedly left Mulrenin's door unlocked for the murder! Great student, that Smolarek.
But Lady Macbeth did not use a gun. And unlike gloves at the OJ trial or in murder mysteries, the gloves presented as having been found with Mulrenin's blood were most likely inside out. If you assume the prosecution's narrative is true, there is literally no reason or occasion for Scott Love to get a glove covered in blood. Much less the inside of a glove. Much less while his boots and jeans and "don't tread on me" shirt have zero blood.
The amount of blood supposedly found on the glove could only come from directly feeling the wound. The most likely person to heavily touch the wound is Mulrenin feeling his own wound. And since gloves are taken off inside out, a bloody glove would come from a person who heavily touched the wound, then decided to put a glove on his bloody hand. Basic physical evidence says a glove with a lot of Mulrenin's blood on the inside was most likely worn by Mulrenin himself.
It is only if you know Jackson, that you can additionally speculate she might touch Mulrenin's wound. Because Jackson is not shy to tend to guys, and is eager to make herself useful, and treats all guys like a little brother.
If anybody wore that glove and got blood on it from touching Mulrenin's wound and also wore the booties as implied by the prosecution, there would be blood on the booties from the wet blood on the area rug where Mulrenin sat. And there wasn't any blood on the booties.
If you take advantage of the evidence to try to discover what happened, there is a lot it can tell you. But Smolarek threw away this opportunity, and instead destroyed evidence to make it fit a story she read in 10th grade. With my angel baby from the Starlite Motel cast as Lady Macbeth. Seminole County is a planet of apes.
Jackson basically admitted to me that she bound the wound. She didn't disagree with me when I wrote that to her in a letter. But she disagreed with my accusation that Love left, or planted, the gloves in her car to incriminate her. She only accepted my alternate theory that police planted the three loose gloves in her car.
So why did Jackson and/or Mulrenin use three gloves? The torn glove in the group of three, from car search photo 121, got stuck to the duct tape bandage.
When a glove sticks to the bandage, you don't cut the tape and leave the tape stuck to the glove you are wearing. It would be hard to cut or tear duct tape with one hand while the other is stuck to the bandage. So you try to pull the stuck glove off the tape, until the glove tears. And certainly when you try to pull it off, the glove will tear, not the duct tape. So you will try to pull the glove off the bandage, until the glove tears. Then you will take off the glove, cut the tape and glove from the bandage, and put on a third glove.
The glove with the tape in vehicle search 124 is not torn. So that glove never stuck to tape while it was being worn. The tape and torn glove piece was placed inside that glove, and scrunched up and intermingled, after they brought the three lose torn gloves to the car search. The glove with the duct tape in car search 124 is not torn, but there is a torn piece of a different color inside it. There is a torn piece from the torn glove in the group of 3, still stuck to the duct tape, and stuffed inside a glove in the final bundle after the three loose gloves vanished.
How did a torn piece from the group of 3 that vanished, get separated from the glove it is torn from, and end up stuffed inside another glove in another bundle inside zip ties? How did a torn piece from one glove, end up away from that glove and instead stuffed inside another glove of another color in another group? Police put it there, as a part of their undeniably intentional cross-contamination. Their intention was not to discover what happened or who wore the gloves or why, but to connect a sloppy mashup of contact points to the car and to Scott Love. The DNA samples were contrived to get a certain result, to tell a story, not to learn what happened.
Note: While recreating this, I tried to get a surgical glove to stick to duct tape and tear, and I could not. Maybe I had the wrong gloves or tape or didn't do it right? Or maybe the glove was torn off by an impatient man? I will come back to it.
If you look closely, you can see the three loose gloves are not that wrinkled. They have large smooth sections that are not wrinkled at all. Because they were never in the bundle. The two darker gloves that probably were in a tight bundle, have tiny tight wrinkles across every square centimeter. From being in a tight bundle.
You can look specifically at the torn piece with the duct tape from the group of 3, stuffed inside another glove in the final bundle. The outside bundle glove has wrinkles, the torn piece inside it has no wrinkles. That torn piece with the duct tape was never scrunched up in the bundle. It was stuffed inside the bundle-group glove, after the bundle was opened.
Who knows, maybe the glove with the apparent red stains was also scooped up from the apartment, scrunched in a little ball, and carried separately. Maybe there was a third group, to get to eight gloves. The three loose gloves do not have apparent blood stains. Sprague wrote he had three gloves at the car search that had "suspected blood." Maybe he brought a third wrinkled bundle of bloody gloves from Mulrenin's apartment.
You don't think they would really lie like that?
This is the same Alison Smolarek whose deposition included the following lines:
Smolarek: That would've been created from the video on the lost hard drive from JA-1.
Rentz: And would you be able to tell who had, like, checked in or checked out that hard drive to review?
Smolarek: Yes. We should have a full chain of custody of who's reviewed that.
I reported Smolarek's crimes to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Of course they don't do anything. They told me it is up to local defense attorneys to prosecute local cops. But at least I knew Smolarek would see my complaint, and it would be fun to see what she would come up with at Mandi Jackson's trial.
So Smolarek goes up on the stand at Mandi's trial, and says all 5 gloves that she swabbed together, were inside the little zip-tied bundle. Looking at Lieutenant Murphy photo 591, it does not look like five gloves.
The craziest thing about Smolarek's lies, is she is claiming there were eight gloves total found in Mandi's car, and placed on the butcher paper. And for some reason, she chose not to swab the three loose ones at all, probably the three that Sprague's police report describes as "with suspected blood" (you would hope), the three with the piece torn out which piece was stuffed inside a glove in the bundle. If you believe Smolarek, there are three dark-stained torn gloves still sitting in Mandi's car which she decided not to look at, even though they were sitting next to the five she did decide to swab, but which five Sprague did not say had suspected blood in his police report.
Smolarek also admitted on the stand at Mandi's trial, that such gloves are sometimes taken off inside out. But she then went on to say she still determined what the inside and outside was on all five gloves, so she knew which side of all five gloves was "wearer DNA." Even though they have all been in contact.
You look at the scrunched-up gloves from the bundle, there is no way to tell how many times they have been used, or if they were somehow peeled inside-out off a very large man's hand without any fingers remaining partially inside-out. And of course the two from the group of three with the torn-off fingertips, may have been pulled off by an inexperienced person by the fingertips. Maybe not.
See kids, this is what real-life crime-scene technicians do. They flat-out lie on the stand to take people's lives. And they do it with zero shame or penalty.
The "wearer DNA" scam is the reason Love went to his ridiculous Plan B defense, and got convicted and life in prison. Before Alison Smolarek went up there and lied, the jury wasn't sure what crazy thing really happened in that apartment. Then Scott had to go on the stand and make up a crazy lie to explain the fake glove evidence, and the jury punished him for it.
That's how real justice works. Sucks for the innocent. Juries are more like demographic focus groups of registered voters, to test if there will be a political cost or a reward when the innocent are sentenced to death.
20. SMOLAREK GUN - December 19, 2016
Smolarek claims to have found a cheap revolver, next to and under a pink bra, in Mandi's underwear drawer. She created a series of photos to tell a story of finding the gun there. The first photo shows an open drawer from a distance. It looks like there is maybe something in there just out of sight. The second photo is like she became curious and took a closer look. Finally you see a gun. Then she takes a picture with the gun in her hand. Wow, I just walked up to this open drawer and found a gun!
The problem is this drawer was closed when Smolarek entered. By the time she takes the "approach" photo of the open drawer from a distance, she has already found the gun and seen it closeup. That is why she decides to step back, and contrive a storyboard, rather than photograph the gun when she first finds it. In the third photo, the gun is more concealed under a bra, than in the second photo. Smolarek arranged the bra to partially conceal the gun between the second and third photo. The gun goes from being next to a bra, to being under a bra. Even the pajamas under the gun have moved between the second and third photo. Is it hard to speculate maybe the gun wasn't even next to the bra, before Smolarek started staging?
Smolarek is not content to be an impartial scientist, to simply take pictures and document evidence as she actually finds it. Smolarek wants to tell a story of finding a gun under an item of clothes, that could only belong to a girl. She physically handles the evidence, and changes her pictures to tell a particular story, before she actually knows what happened, before the investigation is even complete. Mandi borrowed and bought clothes from Neisha Cintron the night Mulrenin died. What if Neisha Cintron's DNA was on the bra which Smolarek positioned to cover the gun?
This may seem like a small thing, arranging clothes to stage a gun as if it is found partially hidden in them. But it is part of a larger pattern, of Smolarek staging key items of evidence. So who knows who put the gun in Mandi's drawer, or if Mandi even knew it was there. We know from Scott Love's past police reports where he blames things on girlfriends, from his leaving evidence at Mulrenin's house that Mandi was there, and from his taking Mandi to the pawn shop while his brother was in prison for taking stolen items to a pawn shop, that Scott Love wants to entangle Mandi so that she cannot go to the police. We know Love thinks he can hide that he was even there that night, and let Mandi take the blame, claim it was self defense or something. So Scott Love could have put the gun in Mandi's drawer.
But we also know Sprague was nervous when his hard evidence fell apart, the imagined texting in the elevator, the hand-drawn map that turned out to look like a roommate situation totally unrelated to Mulrenin's apartment. Sprague did not have hard evidence on Scott Love being inside the apartment, and he was eager to put pressure on Mandi to blame Scott. From the moment they saw Scott on video at the Lofts with not a single video frame where Scott and Mandi are together, to coercing brain patient Kaylee Simmons to tell crazy stories with no bearing on reality, the entire effort has been to tie Mandi to what Scott did.
So what Smolarek portrayed in the photo, that she approached an open drawer and found a gun partially concealed under a pink bra, clearly was staged by her to tell a story. That the bra was staged over the gun you cannot deny. How much else was staged, and how Smolarek really found the gun and where, we can never know. We do know Sprague was nervous that he did not have hard evidence on Scott Love, and he was eager to pressure Mandi to blame Scott.
The revolver immediately looked a little staged to me. The one bullet missing told a simple story. Never mind the shell was also missing. Police never found that shell, in a car and room where obviously no trash had been thrown away in weeks. Scott Love supposedly left bloody gloves in the car, and brought home the murder weapon. But he thought the empty shell was the one thing in the entire case worth disposing of?
David Harris of the Orlando Sentinel wrote an article available at the following link:
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-jimmy-mulrenin-death-details-20161228-story.html
Nobody at the strip club called Mulrenin "Jimmy" and it wasn't in any police report, or in the story itself. "Jimmy" is what his family calls him in Michigan. Except they spell it "Jimmie" so Harris seems to have heard it out loud. Harris has a bio where, like Mulrenin, he likes to advertise being from Michigan. And they are men of a similar age. They are both night-owls who worked not too far apart. And I have additional information that Harris has a biased point of contact with Mulrenin's family.
In his article, Harris states "Jackson, 21, was seen running away from Mulrenin's apartment and into her car one minute after a 911 call came in saying he had fallen". That is closer to the truth, that Jackson ran out 1 minute before, than what appeared in the arrest affidavit Harris' story seems to be based on.
Harris also stated in his article "A bullet casing and a knife also were found." It is reasonable to speculate a man who comes from Michigan and calls Mulrenin "Jimmy" has a direct source. This suggests police found the bullet shell at Mulrenin's apartment, told Harris or his contact about it, and threw it away when they discarded the sofa.
The gun storyboard showed what was ultimately a strong pattern by Smolarek: 1) Take lots of wide and medium-angle general photos. 2) Take three or four closeup photos, focused on each item of interest, 3) Stage certain items, to tell a story you want it to tell. So most items are photographed as they are found. But some items Smolarek creates a storyboard of discovering the item, and staging the item, to tell the story she wants it to tell. Other things, like Mulrenin's second bed drawer, are probably photographed. But the photographs tell a story that is considered undesirable, and remain secret.
So just because a gun was photographed under Mandi's bra, doesn't mean Mandi put it there, or she even knew it was there. The gun could have been found in a trashcan by the hispanic maintenance worker at The Lofts. Remember, Seminole County just had an epic public-relations disaster in the Clemente Aguirre-Jarquin case. The hispanic busboy who found the murder weapon was falsely convicted of murder and spent 10 years on death row, while the murderer got away.
If Scott disposed of the gun before he got home - which anyone who just committed a murder would certainly do - and anyone but police found it, the defense could say it was contaminated, or someone else committed the murder, it would be worthless to them. So the gun was photographed in Mandi's drawer, with zero DNA or fingerprints on it, not even partials, not even on the bullets inside the gun. In house search photo 83, you can see this old gun from the 1970's is polished so spotless, it reflects its surroundings perfectly like a mirror. Remember, this is the gun that Scott supposedly held for 79 minutes during a tense, violent, bloody struggle that left him wearing gloves covered in blood. And there is no trace of a human on the gun.
Then the jail doctor sedated Mandi, drugged her with four different psychotropic chemicals, to keep her from crying and screaming all day. And they kept her in isolation to pressure her to confess, and testify against Scott Love in a 25-year deal. She was so drugged up and sick by the time she went to trial, her lawyer was afraid to put her on the stand to say "I have no idea how a gun got in my drawer."
21. SUM OF SMOLAREK - 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019
None of Smolarek's sketchy bullet evidence matters much to Mandi Jackson. Because she admitted Scott Love shot James Mulrenin in the back of the leg, and she had nothing to do with it. Scott was angry at Mandi also. But there are two items where Smolarek's shady schemes to contrive evidence are relevant to Mandi. The first is the gun photographed in a drawer in her room with a pink bra.
If Mandi hid the gun in her drawer, it could suggest she is willing to conspire with Scott Love in murder. Or she is at least an accessory after the fact, when she tried to placate Scott and salvage her life as she knew it. Photographs which suggest Mandi hid a gun in her drawer must be considered in light of the extent to which other key items of evidence were, at the very least, relocated at each scene.
There is also a pattern from Scott Love trying to evade responsibility, by saying only Mandi was in there that night. Love suggested in his police interview that Mandi was a stripper who would know James Mulrenin, while he did not. Love said it was Mandi on the Walmart video, and not him. Love likely stayed after Mandi ran out, and likely tried to find the bullet and wipe the blood from the shot, but left the duct tape which I believe Mandi handled, and then left separately.
Scott Love once crashed a car and told his girlfriend to say she did it. She got arrested for filing a false police report. Another time Love got arrested in the Walmart parking lot with a cart full of stuff that hadn't been paid for. He told police his girlfriend put it all in there, when video showed otherwise. I think Scott Love put the gun in Mandi's drawer, and coerced Mandi to promise she would say she shot Mulrenin in self-defense. Because that story worked when a girl shot Love's male friend in another case in Orlando. Mandi never came anywhere close to fulfilling that promise, during her police interview.
Though Mandi did once tell me on the jail phone about a girl at the jail church who said "she also gave her life for her boyfriend." So Mandi at least perceived what she was doing as sacrificing herself to benefit Scott Love.
But there is a surprising and undeniable pattern from police, who are willing to play around with evidence, to tell the story they want to tell. When Smolarek transitions from wide-angle photos, to focus photos, to handling and arranging the evidence to contrive her little storyboards, it is far from proof beyond a reasonable doubt that Mandi knew there was a gun positioned partially under her pink bra. Smolarek could have found the gun in a drawer of men's clothes, or somewhere else entirely, but wanted to tie Mandi to the crime. I have proven to you that Smolarek is a liar and stager of evidence.
There are also the bloody gloves which were supposedly in Mandi's car. I have shown that is a total and undisputable scam, by Smolarek, to place Scott Love inside the apartment. But the three loose gloves were supposedly in a trash bag, not touching a pink bra. Scott Love and not Alison Smolarek could have left them in Mandi's car, without Mandi knowing. Though that just strikes me as unlikely he would do that.
Maybe Mulrenin himself wore the gloves tending to his own wound. Why would Love bring out gloves Mandi or Mulrenin wore and plant them in a trash bag in her car, but leave the duct tape and cable ties? Maybe Scott saw the gloves as evidence Mulrenin was shot, so he brought them out. The folded rug is definitely Love trying to get rid of evidence. I challenge anyone to cause an area rug to be pulled from under a sofa and become folded up like the one photographed, through any type of "struggle."
It makes sense that Mandi might wear the gloves out, which she was wearing while tending to Mulrenin's wound, and then have no reason to dispose of them because she had no consciousness of guilt. She believed everything, including Mulrenin going over the balcony, had an innocent explanation for her. But then why would she pick up and carry out the third torn glove, but leave the fingertip and the cable ties and the duct tape? The fingertip came from trying to take off the glove while still in the apartment.
Could Scott have put on those gloves to clean up the apartment, without Mandi knowing or being a willing accomplice? I don't think he could tear one glove on duct tape, and leave a fingertip from another on the floor when he has experience taking off gloves, just wiping blood. And why would he clean the scene and carry his gloves out, but then not dispose of them?
It makes the most sense police took the gloves with the blood stains out of the apartment for the same reason they vanished the sofa, and called the tear in the loveseat a bullet hole. The gloves with blood, the bloody sofa, and the bullet hole, did not fit Sprague's narrative that Mulrenin got shot while running to the balcony.
At some point Sprague decided to include pictures of the blood and tear in the sofa, and to move his story of when Mulrenin was shot to before Mulrenin was running. Sprague's final police report says "After the shot, Mulrenin is screaming and runs to the balcony..." That narrative is not compatible with bloody gloves being found on the floor, one stuck to duct tape.
There is no other explanation to not empty the bag of trash the gloves were supposedly found in, 24 minutes after they found the gloves, and 18 minutes after the gloves were first photographed. If they were finding bloody gloves in the car, they would have torn apart every single piece of trash. They would not just photograph the gloves next to the trash still in the bag.
Smolarek's cross-contamination scam from the loose gloves that were probably in the apartment, to the locked bundle that was probably in the car, is definitely a scam, and very likely contributed to Mandi getting convicted for something she didn't do. The crazy fantasy that Love went in there wearing gloves and booties like a horror-movie character, makes everything seem way more sinister than it really was. And it made it harder to believe when Mandi's lawyers said she had no part of what monster Scott Love did, but then went home with him like nothing happened.
I have been to the UCF campus. I have seen how the students dress up meticulously each day, in ambitious costumes of who they want to be when they grow up. I can picture how poor Alison Smolarek struggled to get noticed, went thirsty surrounded by boys who looked at the other girls. Finally she found her way to a police department where she was the only girl surrounded by men. And once there she sought to increase her popularity, by lying, and faking evidence for them. The ugliest girl in science class finally got her revenge, on an evil stripper. And she got noticed by the boys for her skills.
----------------------------------------------------
It's been like three years since I first spoke to the FDLE about some of this stuff. And it's a year and a half since I first posted it on the web. Through that time I have noticed a pattern from law enforcement people who look at it.
From time to time, I come across someone from the Florida CSI community, or police, who is curious enough to take a look at what I posted. After a while, they always come back with the same response. And it is never anything substantive or technical, about the validity of what I have posted. They never say "That bullet didn't go through that hole" or "it looks like that bullet went through that hole." Never.
They usually go silent. But if they say anything, they always say something like "You're not the lawyer in that case. You're not even directly involved in that case. Why don't you just keep your mouth shut, and let the lawyers worry about it? Just let the lawyers take care of it, it's none of your business."
What that suggests to me, is the people who are curious to look, are people with some distant connection to the ASPD. And as soon as they see what's there, they call someone they know at ASPD such as Alison Smolarek, and say what happened here?
And Alison Smolarek says "It is all bs. That guy is not even a lawyer in this case. Don't you think if there was anything wrong with it, the lawyers would have said something?" This suggests to me, Alison Smolarek has an implicit promise from Mandi's lawyer Carrie Rentz, that Carrie will never tell anyone what she knows about her friend staging evidence.
And Smolarek knew this from the day Carrie got the discovery, and refused to show it to me and stopped talking to me. Carrie started selectively going silent, when I mentioned specific things like the cards on the stick shift, or the marks on the bullet. “Can you BELIEVE they did that” was one of the last things she ever said to me, by accident.
22. THE LURING NARRATIVE - 1980 to present
The prosecution in Jackson's case ultimately used what seems to be a common device, to overcome evidence that did not fit their narrative. They said the evidence does not fit the accusation because the defendants were at first faking what they were doing. And then their plot went sour. In other words, at no point did it look like they were doing what they were accused of. But things which are not what they seem, are much more sinister!
Consider a couple who asks a stranger to take their picture. The stranger runs off with their camera. The boyfriend of the couple chases the fleeing stranger, whereupon the fleeing stranger falls and hits his head. The camera is smashed when the stranger falls. So the boyfriend grabs the stranger's wallet and takes all the money out, leaving the broken camera on the ground, and leaves. The stranger goes to the hospital claiming he was attacked, and later dies from his head injury.
Prosecutors charge the girlfriend with capital felony murder, for conspiring as a principal in a robbery attempt. They have video of the couple handing the stranger the camera, and posing. This is far different from what they would be doing if they had a plan to rob the guy. You would expect them to run right up and knock the guy down and take his wallet. There is no need to pose for a picture.
But these defendants are actually more evil than the plain robbers. Because what these defendants are doing is tricking and deceiving the target. They are setting him up. These conspirators who use deception to set someone up, by appearing to pose for a picture, are 100 times more sinister than the plain robber. The fact that they do not appear to be executing a planned robbery does not make them innocent, it makes them 100 times more evil and more guilty.
And why would a robber leave the smashed camera on the ground, why would he leave the wallet and credit cards, and take only the cash? That is easy, things didn't go as planned so he panicked. What you are looking at does not fit a robbery plan. But that is not because there was no robbery plan. That is because things didn't go as planned. Because these are reckless, dangerous, out-of-control criminals, who are violent and careless with the lives of others. And they are typical dumb sloppy violent criminals, who cannot exercise any kind of rational restrained behavior and need to be in prison. Their evil plots always go sour.
The crime might even start out with the victim pursuing the co-conspirator. He might follow her for blocks through the city. The co-conspirator, the principal in the robbery, may even appear to be fleeing the victim. But that was her plan, to dress up pretty and look defenseless and lure him. The victim can appear to be the aggressor. He made the phone call and set up the date. He came to the address to serve the warrant. But he was being led into a trap. That is all part of the game of luring and tricking, which is 100 times more sinister than someone who openly appears to be committing a crime. And if the whole supposed plan makes no sense whatsoever, that is because these criminals are bad planners, and the plot went sour.
Why do I say this prosecution device started in the 1980's? That is when I was told a lot of these felony murder and co-conspirator types of laws were written. It was no longer enough just to prove a murder. The new sport was to rope innocent bystanders into the crime, by saying there was some kind of plot, some sinister conspiracy. And if the co-conspirator does not tell anyone she is planning a robbery (no one except complete strangers who conveniently need sentence reductions), and does not appear to be engaged in any kind of dangerous behavior at all, that is because she is deceptive, she is luring the target.
All this depends on never having actually met Mandi May Jackson. It is quite incredible.
23. THE LYING SENTINEL - 2016 to present
Mulrenin was not tied up. The arrest affidavit stopped short of saying he was tied up. The first person to make this invention, the originator of this false propaganda which unnecessarily terrorized both Mulrenin's family and his coworkers with false information, was none other than the Orlando Sentinel, in a story embellished with lies by an apparently biased so-called reporter, Dave Harris.
On December 28, 2016 Dave Harris published a story which he claimed in 2020 was based on the arrest affidavit. But it contained six statements that were false and were not in the arrest affidavit. The headline read:
"Strip-club manager tied up, robbed, shot before fatal fall"
As you will see, the cable ties and duct tape found in Mulrenin's apartment were used to bind his wound. And that is what it looked like, which is why the arrest affidavit says only " there is probably cause to believe zip ties and duct tape was used on Mulrenin".
Dave Harris and the Orlando Sentinel went on to say:
"Jackson, 21, was seen running away from Mulrenin's apartment and into her car one minute after a 911 call came"
As you know, Jackson ran out of the apartment more than one minute before the 911 call came in to police (and at latest around the same time 911 was dialed, if you assume 911 was dialed at the time the phone identified its location at 6:35, whether or not Mulrenin had gone over at that point or was just threatening to). The arrest affidavit says Jackson ran out six minutes after the 911 call. One minute after is the Sentinel's own unique narrative, concocted with their own incentive to tell a neat and sensational story. Unless of course Dave Harris had an inside contact to get this information, which is closer to the truth than the arrest affidavit. And he may, which I will get to.
Dave Harris and the Orlando Sentinel added:
"police originally thought Mulrenin, 52, had jumped in a suicide attempt. But the case took a twist when police found he had a bullet wound to the leg."
They found a gunshot wound at Mulrenin's autopsy on the 16th or 17th. But this was not in the arrest affidavit, which was written on the 16th. The arrest affidavit, which Dave Harris claims his story was based on, said "Mulrenin suffered multiple injuries from the fall and a deep wound in the back of his left thigh which appears to be a very deep stab wound or gunshot wound."
This was known at the beginning, as soon as Mulrenin arrived at the hospital. Remember, the hospital threw away Mulrenin's clothes and sent him to organ donation, because nobody heard a gunshot. It was not a suspected homicide. The medical examiner could possibly have said something about a gunshot by the time Sprague wrote his affidavit on the 16th. But remember, the trajectory of the gunshot did not fit Smolarek's fake bullet hole and the "shot while fleeing" narrative. So at the time Sprague wrote the arrest affidavit, he was not willing to commit to the story of Mulrenin being shot. He was contemplating a "shot at and missed while fleeing" narrative.
Dave Harris and the Orlando Sentinel added:
"there was a blood trail from the living room to the balcony"
The arrest affidavit says "blood was located on the carpet, on the right portion of the couch recliner, closest to the door". It is referring to the front door, not the balcony door. There was no blood trail anywhere and the arrest affidavit does not say there was.
Dave Harris and the Orlando Sentinel included:
"A bullet casing and a knife also were found."
The "knife" was a Spode Christmas cheese-and-crackers knork. The arrest affidavit mentioned no bullet casing. There is no bullet casing in evidence. If Dave Harris had a contact who told him they found a bullet casing, police hid it. There is no bullet casing in the arrest affidavit or anywhere else.
Dave Harris and the Orlando Sentinel added also:
"Employees said Mulrenin left with more than $2,500 in his pocket. The money was not in his apartment when police searched it, they said."
In fact, police found $13k in Mulrenin's apartment, including separate stacks that appear to be around $2500. What the arrest affidavit actually said was "No money clip or wallet was located at his home." You don't have to be very smart to consider that Mulrenin was at the hospital when his home was searched.
There is reason (other than the obvious) to suspect Dave Harris did not get this nonsense from the arrest affidavit as claimed. The link to the story is:
https://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/breaking-news/os-jimmy-mulrenin-death-details-20161228-story.html
Notice he calls Mulrenin "Jimmy." Nobody at the strip clubs called him that, and it is not in any police report or in the story itself. Jimmy is what his family in Michigan calls him. Except they spell it "Jimmie" so Harris seems to have heard it out loud. Like Mulrenin, Harris likes to advertise he is from Michigan in his bio:
"David Harris helps oversee the Orlando Sentinel newsroom at night as a content editor. He hails from Flint, Mich., is a graduate of Central Michigan University, and a huge Michigan football fan who is happy he doesn't have to shovel snow anymore."
Harris is a man of a similar age to Mulrenin. And he is a night-owl like Mulrenin. So it is reasonable to speculate that Harris had an inside contact who fed him this garbage. I have additional information to support that Dave Harris has an arms-length but biased point of contact with Mulrenin's family. Like Harris' mother knows Mulrenin's sister, or something.
The story written by Harris deviates from the truth, and from the arrest affidavit, likely as a result of 1) personal bias, and 2) a desire to print a sensationalist story that is neater than the truth, and has a man tied up in duct tape. Mulrenin took $2500 home, but it wasn't in his home! Reality is there is currently no public evidence Mulrenin took $2500 home that night, no known witness. But $2500 was found in his home nonetheless, the opposite of what Dave Harris and the Orlando Sentinel printed.
This decision by the Orlando Sentinel to print untruths was a childish one. It was made in pursuit of whatever incentives they had of personal bias or sensationalism, without consideration of the repercussions for promoting falsehoods with a loud megaphone.
The untruths printed by the Sentinel became the main source of supposed facts for actual participants in the case, from witnesses to family members. Most people, including most police and even state employees at the prosecutor's office, did not receive or examine actual evidence. They just read what was in the Orlando Sentinel, not knowing Dave Harris was a shameless embellisher with his own agenda.
The Orlando Sentinel terrorized Mulrenin's family and coworkers unnecessarily, with a false story of him being tied in duct tape. This put pressure on the prosecutor to pull out of a plea deal which Love agreed to, because Mulrenin's misinformed family did not think it was just. That led to Love's phone calls about the plea deal being included in the trial, when Judge Nelson never ruled they could be used. This could very well result in Love getting a new trial at some point, at unnecessary expense to the taxpayer and Mulrenin's family.
My personal opinion of what Love's sentence should be is irrelevant. Love's current sentence is not just, when compared to the truth and sentences in other cases. And for that reason there is going to be litigation for years. Unnecessarily, when there could have been a fair plea deal. But there wasn't, because misinformation was injected into the process by people at the Orlando Sentinel who have their own incentives and agenda, without regard for the costs they create.
I have enough material for an "ineffective counsel" appeal, where Love might get more consideration for a new trial based on his sentence being out of line with the truth, when compared with other cases. And he could win that new trial and go home in the next few years, going back to the large amount of misinformation which I have documented in this case. The seed of misinformation, of gossip, of sensationalism and bias, originated with the Orlando Sentinel which stirred up a mob with sensational lies and embellishments.
Another thing publishing sensational claims did, is it caused many witnesses to feel justified to lie at Jackson's trial, witnesses such as Songer and Smith, and Neisha Cintron. They believed there was some other evidence against Jackson, other than their own testimony. They wanted to go along with Jackson's guilt which they believed was proven elsewhere, not frustrate the pursuit of justice. When in fact their lies were the primary evidence against her.
So promoting misinformation supported the conviction, and two life sentences, of someone who did not do what she is accused of. And it ultimately makes it easy to argue for a new trial and get one, even if Jackson is guilty. Because there was so much garbage injected into the process, which her attorneys were ineffective in responding to and discrediting. This is a great cost to the taxpayer, and to Mulrenin's family. The misinformation discouraged Mulrenin's family from accepting a plea deal which would have been appropriate in Jackson's case, if the parties were informed based on accurate information.
Tracing the ripples of damage and cost, from the lies printed in the Orlando Sentinel, across participants in the case and throughout the years, could fill a book in itself. Maybe I will come back to it. It is not hard to understand that Dave Harris lied shamelessly, and with a childish lack of consideration that sensational lies in a major regional newspaper could have far-reaching costs and consequences.
I have since confirmed that:
1) Orlando Sentinel editor David Harris has some kind of connection to Mulrenin's sister, maybe Dave's mother is friends with Mulrenin's sister, in addition to possibly having been a friend or at least customer of Mulrenin himself.
2) The Orlando Sentinel crime and justice section has a grudge against a private citizen Mandi Jackson, and an agenda to libel and damage her any way they can, with the approval of publisher Nancy Meyer.
I have also learned that print media in general is on a life support of local police blotters and sports scores. They are down to skeleton staffs of half-retards and hooker addicts who spend all day copy-pasting press releases from the State Attorney, and transcribing highlights from videos that local sports figures post on on Twitter and Youtube. One writer even told me "We're not authorized to do anything but copy what's on the State Attorney's Twitter."
Their only hope to feed themselves is to sensationalize local arrests into exclusive stories about something that never even happened, and whip up the local bingo crowd for clicks. That's what Laura Corley of the Macon Telegraph did when she wrote a sensational story implying the local sheriff never should have released known GHB kingpin Mandi Jackson just so she could commit murder.
It of course does not matter to Laura Corley that so-called murder victim James Mulrenin probably put gas-station sex placebo butanediol in Mandi's drink himself, in hopes that he could get hard and fuck her like a wet rag. There's probably a story in there if some real journalist wanted to tell it. But the best Laura Corley could pull off is some man-bites dog bit about the cute little girl drugging the creepy old sex predator. Today's so-called journalists drive Datsuns and will end up selling real estate, after they are done giving comfort to crooked local cops in exchange for gossip.
